Shade scratched the back of his head and nodded a bit. "I...don't usually have much time to do stuff like that." Between doing school, housework, homework (when he did it), and doing the occasional trip to the grocery store for his mother, the impling boy rarely had time to go to the shopping mall. That, and he didn't want to ask his mother for money to go to the mall. 'I really need to get myself a job...'
Maybe he should set that as a new goal - he was old enough to be making his own money, so why not get a job? It might help with his damned social skills anyway.

It was strange to think someone wouldn't have enough time to set aside for something as simple as a few hours of shopping -- even living away from home, she had more time to kill than ever before. "I think we have opposite problems." Lee sat on the bench from before, looking away from Shade's sneakers, thinking those should probably, and hopefully only momentarily, get put back on his feet before he bought his new shoes. "I'm not... very good at getting a job..." Not that she'd really tried before, but she assumed, with her lack of prior experience and basic inability to actually do work, that she wouldn't be able to get a job if her life depended on it. And as humiliating as it was to admit that, it would have been even worse if he'd assumed she was just a lazy, spoiled, and... wait, she was those things, too, wasn't she?

"Seems like it, huh?" Shade said with a smile. The impling blinked as Lee mentioned not being very good at getting a job. He'd never applied for one himself, but he knew how to make up a resume, thanks to his careers class at school (why he'd taken that class was anyone's guess). The boy paused for a moment as he picked up his sneakers - he'd need to change back into his other clothes before paying for his new ones.
"Do you...know how to make a resume...?" he asked, wondering if maybe this could be a way for him to pay Lee back for helping him. "If not, I could show you. We'd just need a computer." Or a broken one for him to fix - whichever was easier to come by. It wasn't like fixing electronics was difficult for him.

Lee hunched over at Shade's question, making it clear how embarrassed she really was. "I-- Well, I've never..." Sighing, she let her head hang low. "Not really." Why hadn't she learned such a skill? And how was it that he had? She really was helpless, wasn't she?
Her posture perked up, and her eyes looked over at Shade with glee at his offer. "That would be..." Lee bit her lip. Awesome... "Yes, please." She could honestly use all the help she could get. A computer, though. She wasn't sure where to find one of those. "Do they let you use the ones at the electronics store?" Honestly, she'd never actually walked inside that place; she was always lured away by the jewelry shop right next to it. Heck, that was probably the last place in the entire mall she'd be seen in.

Shade wondered if perhaps this girl's school system was different from his - he would've thought that they'd have taught her how to do this. 'Then again, she just might not pay attention to class like I do.' He wasn't exactly the most observant student himself, so he wouldn't really be surprised. Besides, it gave him a way to do something for Lee in return.
"Um, well...I don't think they would, but...if we found a library, we could use one from there." Yes, a library would probably be a much better idea - he'd tried using the computers in an electronic's store once. He'd gotten into quite a bit of s**t for it. Apparently, the employees didn't like that much. "I think there's one close to here...if you're still interested in learning..." He smiled to her shyly, glad that there was a way for him to pay Lee back for helping him. He'd just have to pay for his clothes and such first.

Dang. They'd have to walk. Lee was used to being driven everywhere, but perhaps it was about time she got used to going places on foot like everyone else. Looking down at her shoes, she thought sneakers like Shade's would actually come in handy for once. Not that she'd be caught dead in those, that is.
"Only if you're willing to teach..." She didn't want to inconvenience him, especially since all this was to apologize for earlier. "Hopefully you know where it is..." She'd never actually visited the library, at least the one in this part of Vargash, and hoped they wouldn't get lost along the way.

"It's no problem..." It wasn't like he was going to do anything other than play video games later anyway. At least now he'd be doing something productive...and it would help someone else on top of that! "I know where it is." He'd mostly only gone there for English projects and such - the computers would work well enough for a simple resume lesson though. "It won't take more than a couple of minutes to get there. I just...need to change and pay first."
The impling excused himself and hurried back towards the dressing room. After a few minutes, he came out again dressed in his old clothing. "You ready?"

Lee gave the boy a weak smile, feeling slightly guilty for putting him through all this. Then again, he really didn't seem to mind, so she'd do her best to try and seem as grateful as she was. As Shade hurried off to the changing room, Lee glanced around the area, just then realizing she'd never found anything to buy. Perhaps saving her money was best -- not that twenty dollars was a lot, but it might come in handy. As the impling came out in his old clothes, Lee kept herself from cringing and simply nodded, turning toward the cashier so he could pay.

Shade quickly moved over to the cashier to pay for the items and was quite relieved when the total rung up to $63.45. He still had a bit of money, so perhaps he'd grab something to eat on the way home. For now though, he had other things on his mind, such as bringing Lee to that library.
"I have a library card, so...they should let us use 'em." the impling said as he slung the bag of clothes over his shoulder. "And if shouldn't take me too long to show you..." Making a resume was quite simple, once one knew how to make one. Maybe he could even print off an example for her to use as a reference.

Lee was also relieved to see the total. "Hope your mom likes it..." Lee gave the boy a nervous smile, but knew that she likely would. Letting Shade lead the way, the girl pulled on the ends of her hair with excitement. She was getting closer to being employed, she could feel it. A thought popped into her mind, her excitement draining and being replaced with worry. "Eh... don't resumes usually have, like... experience and stuff? What if I dun have any?"

"I'm sure she will..." Shade glanced around as they exited the store, moving towards the doors that would bring them outside the mall. He looked over his shoulder at Lee as she asked her question and blinked a few times.
"Well...if you don't have any, then just list things that you're good at. Maybe things you do at home?" he suggested, hoping that it would be helpful. "Put down things that would tailor to that job, like...um...cooking if you're trying to work at a restaurant."
