Then wait a bit. Is it really critical that you have that new guitar RIGHT NOW? What's wrong with the one you own currently?
But no matter what I say, it's always up to you. I just advise you not to sidestep, always move UP. Just cruise some guitars at Musiciansfriend.com and take your pick of what's in your price range.

What is wrong with the one i have now? It's not mine, it's my older brothers for one, two, the wires inside need some soldering, and he wont let me do that for him. Also it is critical i have my guitar, cuz if we dont spend this money on a guitar, I can guarantee i wont see it again. Financially we are in a hole of s**t. So the fact I am getting a guitar at all is moving up. I decided i am not getting the BC Rich, I am going to buy the semi hollow on the top sellers list on www.musiciansfriends.com
And i'm going to ask for the digitech grunge pedal for christmas

It sucks to be so young and wanting a new guitar. I was twelve when I got my first guitar. It was a silvertone SSL3. A really nice guitar when i first got it. I didn't know how to tune the damn thing I didnt even know what tuning was but I would just sit up in my room and wack around at it for a long time. I saved up my paper route money for like almost 8 months to the the thing.
Its sitting in pieces in my room right now. All it needs is a new neck and some nice pick up and it will probably be a good guitar. So I would suggest a silvertone. not the SSL3 because that like 350 bucks but the other P-modles are like 120. I'd say you would have a wider range of sound with the Silvertone. 3nodding Hell even a squire would be good for a beginner. 3nodding

Guerilla_Nate Further more, I dont want to JUST play metal, i like a LOT of music. PLUS i dont even have any ******** pedals. As far as guitars go i have a Squier P-Bass, a borrowed Fender Jazz bass, and an Ibanez electric that needs soldering. Dump the Squier. I really need a new guitar. Mine ain't cuttin' it anymore. It has this horrendous ringing noise when I play. And it's kinda small.Soooooo yeah. But my step-dad has a B.C.Rich Rave ll. It's kinda bad, it needs new pick-ups and a new back plate. And a new toggle switch. And a new whammy bar. In short, it's not far from utterly annihilated. I would not advise it. But I've seen some really nice Epiphone Flying V's for about 200-250 bucks. I played them, top quality. So my advice is to not go lookin' for a B.C Rich, but rather an Epiphone or something along those lines. Peace cuh.

my very first guitar was a $500 b.c. rich n.j. series virgin......a step up from the regular series right? WRONG!!!! i have nothing but problems with the thing! go ibanez! best bang for your buck and their stock pick-ups are way more rounded. i would go with what i have. i have an i banez r.g. 120. there $200 and way worth it.

might i suggest a Dean Vendetta XM? i bought mine for exactly $100. i ordered it online. I love it. it only took about three day to get it, but they don't ship for free anymore. it's got a very good tone and it's extremely light weight and it's neck is wide and very similar to a korean squire strat, but if you don't know THAT much about guitars it doesn't really matter to you. of course it's best that you play it before you buy it. you need to be comfortable with it. still it's good to have a last resort. heres the website it's on.

if you have no gutiar at all, then you should buy one (althogh youll probably wanna go 4 a squire). if you have a guitar already, SAVE UP. you do not need another low end guitar. i should kno. every time i would get about $300 i would get antoehr low end gutiar. its worth it to save up for a good one. (PS bc rich does make a good guitar, but wait till youi can get one for 400+ if you really want one, because that when they get decent) (pss, or try jackson. their low end gutiars are really good. try a king v, they look sweet)
