Snickering, Athrun lashed his tail about behind him and watched Khuluma with bright blue eyes. The other godly was soaking up his achievment, not realizing what had to be done next. He hadn't taken the clue from the mad flight that Athrun had given him, but he would soon get the general idea.
Large wings, larger than most juveniles, flapped and caught a thermal, throwing the godling into the air higher than he was before. It could be said that Athrun was one for show-man-ship but to a degree it was his age at the given time. He couldn't remember anything from his past so to him he was just a cub in an extraordinary circumstance that he was able to control his enormous wings with such relative ease. It came from years of muscle memory, even if the muscles had been reborn they remembered flying through the sky.
They remembered when he couldn't.
Tucking his wings against his body, Athrun dove down at Khuluma like a falcon at a small sparrow. His grin was one of a beast that knew it had won. He was giving Khuluma the chance to high tail it, to realize that he was about to be chased. It was great exercise for the wings and even greater exercise for future fights that the younger god's tongue might walk him straight down the path to if he didn't watch it.
Closer and closer, waiting on the other god to dodge. Of course he wouldn't hit him in mid air, Athrun would then have to extricate himself in time to save them both and his large wings weren't large enough to hold the weight of two godlings just yet, not until he grew some more in size and height. He would just play 'chicken'. But the other godling didn't have to know that at present.

He hadn’t been aware that he was suppose to fly now until he noticed the other god flying at him. Panic took away rationality, and his first instinct was to fly before the other god crashed into him. Yelping, he stopped his victory pose and started to flap aggressively with his wings until he got enough momentum to really get going. Unlike Athrun, he had no memory of flying and everything was new for him. Flying had been a learning experience since his first flight to leave the God Haven, and it was a slow process since then. He rarely got to fly with anyone else, so he found traveling alone tedious and boring. Most of it had been him flying straight, trying to avoid storms and high winds that posed a problem for him, and looking for company. Playing tag was testing out new boundaries.
“Ahh. Too fast. You’re too fast!” He really didn’t want to crash into anyone or fall down. Landing hard always hurt and he didn’t like it. When he looked back to see Athrun smiling, chasing him, his fear turned into delight. He forgot the rules! Now he got it. A spark of competition shot through him, and he started to fly higher, trying to shake him off. “You’re not catching meee-eeee!” He sang, letting the wind take his voice.
