Zareth shook his head. "It will defiantly not fall out. If it did then I would be ruined!" Yet he took just a few more minutes in the river before getting out...Slowly. Once out of the river he shook himself lightly getting the water off of his skin and hair, so it would dry faster. "There I'm done," He muttered, yet he would have stayed in there for another half an hour if he could. Still the younger mare seemed to be very pushy at times on this subject.

"How can you know that for sure?" Kireina replied teasingly, casting a playful wink at her partner. "I wouldn't take the risk if I were you." The mare glanced around for a moment before spotting some flowering plants and walking over to them. Carefully plucking out one large white flower, she stepped back over to Zareth's side and tucked it into one of his braids. "Perfect!" she exclaimed, admiring her own handiwork. "It compliments you quite well."

"I just know," He replied confidently. His head tilted trying to see how it looked, but couldn't. "Really?" he questioned.

Kireina nodded confidently. "Of course, silly. Do you think I would purpose to make you look bad?" The mare tossed her mane in mock offense. "And here I thought we were friends..."

Zarth's ears shifted back on his head a bit. "Maybe..." he replied softly, "And we are friends,"

Kireina turned and smiled back cheerfully at him. "Good." She lowered her head to grab up some grass from the ground, a thoughtful expression on her face. "You know," she said slowly, "in all my life you are the only other Kirin I've ever known, and we've traveled around quite a bit it seems. Is our species very uncommon?"

Zareth moved to the edge of the stream to admire his own reflection. "No," he replied lightly. "There are a lot of our kind around. We're just not in a good area for finding them. Yet what we need to be on the look out for are some handsome stallions."

"Stallions?" Kireina repeated curiously. She had heard Zareth speak of these creatures before, and they sounded quite intriguing. "You're going to have to point one out to me if we ever get lucky enough to find some. How do you tell if someone's a stallion again?"

Out from the trees bolted a petite little filly with starry pelt and fiery mane, charging with a carefree giggle right into the stream. She made a rather respectable splash not but a few feet away from the two "females" before making her way up the bank on their side and shaking herself off.
With a smile and a hop she turned around, apparently to repeat her previous endeavor back in the direction she'd come from, but paused mid turn when she finally realized the other two were there. She shuffled her hooves uncertainly and watched them with wide eyes for a moment before trotting over. A dash of bashfulness made its way into her demeanor as she ducked her head slightly before offering a soft, "Hullo!"

Zareth was about to explain them to Kireina, when a starry pelted filly ran through right into the stream giggling. At first he thought he was seeing things, but then he realized he hadn't. For he had almost gotten wet from her splash. What a very...vibrant filly. "Well hello to you too little one?" He spoke softly watching her curiously. He tilted his head to the side. "What are you doing?" he questioned her.

Kireina was quite a bit surprised when a small filly appeared out of nowhere, but this surprise was quickly replaced with glee. Another Kirin! "Why hello there, little one!" she greeted cheerfully, admiring the starry pelt and fiery mane. Goodness, was I really that small before? she wondered to herself. She's completely adorable~!

The filly seemed to slowly lose that hint of shyness, especially when Kireina greeted her so enthusiastically. She pranced in place a bit, fuzzy little tail wiggling about excitedly. All the movement stopped though and she gave Zareth an incredulous look. "I'm playing," she stated, ever so matter of factly.
"I was playing tag with my daddy, 'cause Sis hadn't woken up from her nap yet. I'm doing real good! I don't think he knows where I went." She started her prancing again, obviously pleased with herself, and eventually the momentum of it got her moving in a circle around the two to get a better look.
"Are you two mates?" She blurted it out in the manner that all children seem to do when they innocently stumble across an awkward subject. Little Nyhali didn't actually understand the complications of being mates in the first place, but that was what her mommy and daddy called one another so she just sort of assumed that it might be the case with another pair of adult Kirin wandering around.

She was adorable, he could give her that. She did remind him of when Kireina was small. Yet hopefully the little filly wouldn't explode with a mass amount of questions like Kireina did the first time they met. "I think I can see that you are playing." he replied his ears flicking at the word 'father', "Well i don't think you should take too long away from your father. He might become worried about you."
Then the question came and his facial expression changed a bit. Mates? Well in a sense they were mates if they considered their friendship, but on the terms of mates, mates they were not. "Not really," He finally spoke. "Just friends, besides it would be odd to have two girls as mates."

"Mates?" Kireina replied, not very familiar with the term. "Um, I don't think so... We're just good friends." She gave a nod in affirmation to the statement that she had just made. "So your family is nearby you said?" That prospect excited the mare a bit more. How wonderful it would be to meet more of their kind! But at the same time, she did not wish to intrude.

A confused look crossed her face at the thought that her father might be worried about her. "But why would he be worried? We're playing tag, I'm s'posed to try and get away. I'm not doing anything bad." Her little face creased into a frown. Why would her daddy be worried when she was doing what she supposed to? She was supposed to get away when they were playing tag, right?
She looked from one to the other as they both said they were just friends, but the confused look returned to her face when Zareth said they were both girls. "Both girls?" It looked like she was trying very hard to process that information in a way that made sense. "But she looks like my mommy and you look like my daddy. Only you have much prettier hair." She wasn't meaning to be rude or anything, she just... didn't get it. This was stepping a bit out of the bounds of her simple little foalish world.
