Phase turned to face hom and nodded in greeting, not at all startled by his sudden appearance. "What are you up to Khaos? Been awhile, hasn't it?" She asked in a bored tone. She never really liked all the superhuman action and it always showed in her bodylanguage and actions. That didn't mean that she would go down without a fight. She was far too stubborn to allow that if she could help it. Phase looked at him curiously. "Up to causing, well, chaos, as usual?" She asked redundantly, for she already knew the answer.

Khaos began making the motions of being hurt by what she said. The effect was taken back from the fact that his face was hidden completely. He spoke again, and it was obvious there was supposed to be emotion in his voice, but the voice changer took that away.
"Oh... that hurt. I thought we knew each other better than that. I am not causing chaos deliberately. I am instilling balance. Equilibrium. These people have caused too much order, so I must... oh my. Yes... I am imposing chaos this time, aren't I?"
Khaos cocked his head, scratching the top of his head with the dull side of his blade.

Phase gave a small laugh. The voice changer in his mask distorted the words and made the statement emotionless, which in turn, made it funny. Idly, she wondered what he looked and sounded like in real life, aside from all the superhuman stuff. " I suppose now that you have altered the balance a bit too much, you have to do something to fix it ?" Phase asked, wondering, if he did, what it would be. At least her father couldn't say that she didn't do anything at all about the whole situation. She was there, she was talking to Khaos, that should constitute as something. She wasn't all up for the dramatic speeches, the long, drawn-out fights. She always tried to settle things by talking. The flourescent lights above them flickered almost constantly, thus bugging her immensely. She looked around for the light switch and made her way over to it, turning of the troublesome bulbs. "Much better, the dark is always much more interesting than light, becuase with light, you can see all but the shadows. But, I suppose, being you, you want light and dark so..." She said as she turned on a neaby lamp, thus causing it's light to hit the walls and all it could touch, leaving shadows where it couldn't.

When Phase came to the assumption that Khaos wanted both, he applauded her.
"Very good. You are learning. Almost brings a tear to my eye..."
Somewhere behind Phase Khaos could see his final target, the boss of this little operation, trying to sneak by and away. Khaos gave a deep bow down to Phase, purposefully being dramatic. He had to admit, he liked dramatics.
"Unfortunately, I must cut our time short. I still have business to attend to..."

Phase followed the path of Khaos' eyes. The poor man was terrified and scrambling to get out of the line of sight, it was quite sad really. " You are all about balance though, life and death...why kill him too? You could leave him alive to always live in fear of you, to always try to hide. The very thing he inflicted on others would then be inflicted on him..." Phase noted, unsure if Khaos would listen to her. She also really didn't want to interfere. She had always thought that maybe one day she might actually like being a super, but it had yet to come. Also, it didn't help that she thought her decision to be a hero was based on her mother's death. " Because you know me, I don't like this whole bit, but I can't just stand by and let you kill him when I am right here...." Phase stated, for it was true, when she was in the area, able to do something about these type of situations, she would help..

Khaos looked to Phase and twirled his blades, a sign of him eager for a fight. He cocked his head.
"Then why don't you just leave? I know this man, no amount of fear will ever stop his conquest for a one-sided society. If I let him live, this will only add more fuel to his cause. So he must die."

User ImageAll it took was one phone call to let Allen know that the city was being bombarded once again. Although, he hadn't exactly needed the phone call to feel there was something wrong with his city. He could feel it in his body, his blood, his mind. There was something afoot in Osawagi city. The Police Commissioner only confirmed what he knew to be true. His worry carried through the phone, voice tight and taunt with distrust. A freak like Visionary could never truly be trusted. Allen, dully aware of this fact, hung the phone up without a word. Visionary existed for the peoples ideals, not for his own comfort of mind.

The lights were dim in the apartment complex. Yet, all it took was a glance and a little concentration to brighten every corner. Over 20 lamps stood stationed randomly about the room, none of them plugged into any kind of electrical outlet. This was nothing more than a quick test of his mental facilities, an exercise of his constantly calculating brain. He pulled his gloves and hoodie on and headed towards the door. The streets darkness was a welcome shadow. Though, Allen tired of investigating crimes that never seemed to be resolved. He could not deny that Visionary's blood hungered for the action.

He stalked down the streets, quiet as a mouse. He didn't want just anyone to know that the legendary Visionary was out and about again, ready to save the day. Visionary headed towards the location of the second incident, a major cigarette corporation notorious for campaign ads directed towards a 'younger' audience. He didn't blame whoever had the gall to attack a site like that. He just felt sorry that the poor b*****d would have to contend with him. Visionary hurried to the site, hoping that the perpetrator had not completely succeeded in making a getaway.

Phase sighed and shook her head. "You know I can't do that ..."She said, positioning herself into a defensive stance. If he was set on killing the man, there was nothing else she could do but try and stop it. As a precaution, she transformed her skin to that of a diamond like quality, still malleable and able to move, but nearly impossible to penetrate or cut.. " Ready when you are.." Phase said, raising an eyebrow and awaiting his next move.

{ Sorry for the late post Lucifer. You all have to put up with my ugly short posts till I get my new laptop. ATM, I'm on my psp D; }

Janae stalked down the streets, flipping a metal coin through her fingers swiftly. Her crimson eyes surveying the area intently. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, at least she thought.

Khaos cocked his head at Phase, watching her. Ah, so she turned her skin to diamonds. Khaos looked at his blade then back at Phase, and soon it appeared that the blade just melted. But in reality, he used his power to turn the blades to liquid. So he could use his power even further. Khaos popped his neck in preparation, then lifted the hilt above his head and began spinning it around, causing a hurricane to form in the building.

Phase bit her lip. Nothing man made could stop a hurricane. She began to think of what she should do. To prevent herself from being blown away with the strong winds, she transformed her feet into heavy lead, helping to weigh her down. She began to walk foward, slowly, cautiously, avoiding as much flying debris as possible. Phase determined which way the Hurricane was spinning, figuring out that if she followed the rotation, it might be easier to get through, following the flow, instead of trying to fight it, or walk straight through. She approached closer, since she wasn't watching behind her, a huge flying chunk of an office cubicle hit her in the back, forcing her to move foward a few yards, landing on her stomach. Phase looked up from the ground and scowled. She got up gingerly, determined to reach the eye of the storm, for the eye of a hurricane was always peaceful, always quiet, which, in hindsight, is why she figured Khaos picked that particular storm, its balance of peace and destruction.

Private investigators and snoops of the law were the bane of Alexander Finnistre's existence. They went about their business in the most obnoxious fashion possible, getting into everything that wasn't theirs-- namely, other folks' homes and private lives. Alexander was a very private person with some very private hobbies-- namely one that was considered illegal in all countries on Earth: murder. These hounds were the fingers of the law, pointing their noses at him, leading the Big Blue toward him to impose their "Morality, Law, and Justice" upon him.

So it was no surprise when Nightshade-- for that was the alias by which the public new Alexander-- paid a local investigative office a visit. What came as a surprise to the cold-blooded killer was that someone had beaten him to the stab. Yes, Alexander had a preference for knives, feeling guns too impersonal and rather uncontrollable: after all, the rate of death with guns was either quick or not at all.

He could only sigh silently to himself in the shadows as he witnessed Khaos and Phase at odds with each other. Khaos was on Nightshade's list of interesting people: he had a thing for this wacky balance business that was amusing enough to let Alexander overlook just how loud and obnoxious the rogue could be. Perhaps these two could sow the seeds of destruction together...

With that thought in mind, Nightshade allowed himself to materialize amidst the darkness in a far corner, butterfly knife in his left hand. He flicked it open with ease and grace, a sadistic smile playing on his lips. Perhaps he could creep up on Phase and do them both a favor. No, he decided all too quickly. This little storm brewing could easily throw off his aim. "Obnoxious blighter..."

Khaos kept up the storm, feeling his strength drain away. After all, this was pretty hardcore. He was making a hurricane, that was no small feat. But this was simply a diversion. Yes, rather large for a diversion, but Khaos always felt the larger the diversion, the better. Khaos stopped controlling the hurricane, knowing it would continue going for a little while then eventually die, and fiddled with another nob on his mask, this one affecting his goggles. The vision changed multiple times until he saw multi-colored humanoid shapes, their heat signatures. There was Phase, struggling through the hurricane. There was another... standing off to the side. Male... and holding a knife... Khaos thought and came to the conclusion that it was Nightshade, the one who wanted to disrupt all balance and instill only chaos. Khaos felt that he and Nightshade were absolute enemies, both going for opposite things. But as much as Khaos despised him, he couldn't touch him. Unless he planned to destroy a hero as well. Khaos saw another heat signature, on the ground in a ball, horrified, trying to find a way to escape. There he was. Khaos rose his foot high, then stopped it down, causing the ground beneath the man to rise in response, crushing him into the ceiling, killing him instantly. Khaos smirked under his mask, and solidified the blades of his swords. He twirled them while making them once again glow with heat, this time becoming hotter than most metals should be able to achieve while still retaining a solid form. Khaos felt the hurricane dying down around him, his strength barely recovering, and could see Phase still continuing her way to him. Khaos flicked a finger, making the wind around his goggle nob spin quickly enough to make the nob twist, going back to it's normal vision.

Phase groaned, she heard the familiar voice from the shadows, frustrated now that she was outnumbered, but then again, they all were. No one had an ally. Before she could blink, she felt the ground move and watched as the pathetic excuse for a man that she was trying to save was squished against the roof. . "Really, was that necessary, Khaos?" She asked, already guessing at his answer. Phase watched as the hurricane died down, and the glow of his blades came evident. She paused, attempting to wipe off the dirt and water that clung to her skin, unsuccessfully. Giving that task up, she pulled up her hair in the always convienient ponytail holder she had on her wrist. Looking at the corner she heard Nightshade's voice come from, she nodded. "Good evening, Nightshade, fancy seeing you here." Her gaze flicking back and forth between the two.

He chuckled quietly. "Mm, yes well I was out 'n about, going to run an errand or two, but it seems Khaos-- the friendly blighter he is-- went and handled it himself." He was idly spinning the knife around his fingers as he spoke, keeping his body between Phase and his weapon hand, limiting how much of his actions she could see. "What brings your lovely self here, hm? Surely not that rapscallion." He glanced in Khaos' direction briefly.
