"Juice! I don't see any juice." Aubril giggled and closed one eye. peering closely at the daisy. The butterfly finished it's drink and lifted off again, disturbed by the filly. Like many foals Aubril had insatiable curiosity, and wanted to know everything there was to know about her world. "Is that why flowers smell so good?" She couldn't tell where the nectar might be, since a flower wasn't fleshy like a berry or a fruit. Aubril decided to give it a big lick.
"Bleh, gritty!" Aubril exclaimed, pollen clinging to the inside of her mouth. She licked some leaves to get rid of it. "Hmph, this flower is dumb," she decided, glaring at it, then prancing away from it smugly. "Let's do something else! Want to play tag?" She circled back to Keshet, but keeping her distance, preparing to spring away if he said yes.

Keshet laughed. "Of course you don't, it's deep inside the flower, where only bees and butterflies and a few types of birds can drink it. "Flowers do smell so good partially because of the juice, I think, but I don't know because I've never really tried the juice," he added with a rueful smile. His smile became sneaky at the thought of a game of tag. "I'm 'it', I assume? All right, then, I'm coming to get you," he said with a laugh, leaping into a lope to be fair to Aubril with her shorter, weaker, slower legs.

Glee burst forth from the filly in the form of giddy laughter. As soon as Keshet started to move Aubril dashed away, her long legs propelling her as fast as she could go. It was evident by the clumsy way she ran that she hadn't quite grown into her legs yet, but Aubril didn't care. She ran through another patch of daisies, causing butterflies to take to the air in a cloud that made her laugh even more. Alternating between looking back at her uncle (who was catching up faster than she liked) and looking forward (she didn't want to fall down anywhere, after all!), she took a sudden left, trying to escape.
"Hehe, come get me!" She taunted happily. Aubril could already feel her legs beginning to tire, but she wasn't caught yet!

Keshet laughed as he dashed through the daisies and the butterflies. "I'm going to get you!" he called to her, paying some attention to playing at her pace and some attention to the environment around them, as a protective pryrin uncle. The sudden left startled him, but he didn't mind taking a much more leisurely left turn to give her a chance to get some distance again before moving in to tag her. "Tag," he said with a grin, nosing her gently on the rump before prancing away.

Convinced she had escaped him Aubril laughed and bounced like the playful filly she was, but it wasn't long until Keshet was once again right on her tail! Easily he moved in to tag her, drawing a silly "Aww" from the filly. She kept going a bit then slowed, curving around to face Keshet with a goofy frown. Then Keshet pranced away.
"Hey!" she shouted and giggled after him, dashing towards him before he could get too far and trying to run alongside him. If he hadn't been keeping his pace in check, there would have been no way she could have kept up. As it was she was getting more tired and was starting to lose speed. Aubril reached out with her nose in attempt to tag him before he could get away.

Keshet could see that Aubril was getting a bit tired and he remembered that she was still very young yet, so as she tagged him, he reached over with his long adult neck to catch her around the ribs and he began to tickle her his his soft nose. "I caught you," he said with a laugh.

With a squeak Aubril was scooped into Keshet's embrace, wiggling happily and laughing from his tickling. "That's not part of tag!" she managed to say through her laughter, trying to get away. In her squirming she tripped on her own leg and plopped right on her rump, still laughing too much to do much about it.
It took her a moment to catch her breath. When she did she stood up again, and pressed the side of her muzzle affectionately to Keshet's foreleg. "That was fun," she said, her voice quieter. She was very tired now, but reluctant to admit it. She didn't want to go home quite yet! But she knew that it would be inevitable.

Keshet grinned. "Of course it's not part of tag, but you're looking like you could use a break, sweet one," he said with a warm smile. He nuzzled her when she stumbled onto her rump and continued to arch his head and neck over her after she'd regained her feet. "I'm glad you had fun, sweet one." He glanced at the sun that was already well past its zenith. "It'll be getting late soon, so we'll squeeze in one more game before I take you home, shall we?"

"Okay!" Aubril replied, never one to say no to another game. With a bit of concentration and coordination Aubril untangled herself and got back to her hooves. She stood in place and smiled, her head tilted slightly to the right side so that one of her silky ears flopped over.
"You choose the game this time, Uncle Keshet!" Then she wondered briefly if adults ever played games. They played with foals, but did they ever play just for the sake of playing? Maybe Keshet would know a fun game she didn't.

Keshet paused to consider a game. What would be fun and quick for a tired filly who was about ready to go home to her family? Tag? Tag consumed energy. Hide-and-seek? Well, if they made it only a couple rounds, it would be relaxing and fun without exhausting the possibilities for another game. "How about a couple rounds of hide-and-seek?"
