“Nyx dearest you must understand my apprehensions to this however, you know my only rule. And considering what the past dictates it’s a damned good rule, humans almost killed you once dear, and though I try to treat you like the others, I do have my bounds about certain things. However, Humans are a no for all of you.” He sighed heavily and padded over to the door, ignoring the front and moving decidedly toward the back.
“Yes, you may get any color but white… that’s mommies color, and only mommies color for the wedding. I was thinking perhaps pink to match your eyes…” and with that her father’s attention went away from the subject of her ballet and went decidedly to the wedding plans. It would be lovely now that everyone was back… it would be better if he could convince Ishtar and Valiant it would be worth attending. His son was ambitious, he understood that… but they were family all the same. Perhaps the ambitious young healer would spare a ear for the man that helped create his existence. “but you must remember my dear, mommy has to be the most noticeable princess around.”

Nyx hung her head sadly. "I understand why daddy but I don't really have anywhere else to practice. If I practice in the house mama is constantly watching me and makes me stop if she thinks I've doing something to dangerous. And then I can't go outside. I'm sorry daddy." she said softly. "I know you make your rules for a reason."
Nyx nodded. "I know that only mama can wear white. After all she is going to be the bride! I like pink!" she nodded happily. She couldn't wait for this now. After all her family was scattered and estranged but if it was something like their parents marrying then she was sure that her siblings would all come back for the happy occasion. Nyx grinned. "Of course Daddy. You know that she'll be the most noticeable princess around anyway. After all she'll be a queen once she marries right?" Nyx said smiling, following her father. It made logical sense to her. If Nyx was always called a princess then when her mother married that she would have to become a queen.

Kieran smiled and happily ruffled his daughter’s hair lovingly. "Why yes dear, I do believe she would be a queen. A lovely gentle queen, noble beyond all reason, and true to herself.” He gestured to several pretty rings placed in beautiful velvet boxes behind a tea cabinet. Several sparkled out lovingly, glistening as the sunlight bounced off of the inlaid stones. “Go ahead help daddy, he can’t seem to pick himself which one she would like more.”
Kieran left his daughter to her own devices and went to the back room, pulling out several of the dresses he had seen inside the shop before he brought little Nyx here. He raised them up and smiled, both pink his daughter’s favorite color. “Here Nyx, you choose love.”

Nyx giggled as her father ruffled her hair. "Mama will make the best queen ever! And you'll be the nicest King!" she said with a toothy grin. It wasn't meant to be sucking up to her father, it was just how she felt and showed her affection to her father and family in general. The little girl looked down at all the rings, her heart instantly going for one. It was simply and beautiful and what Nyx could see in her mother. "This one Papa! Defiantly this one!" she exclaimed as she pointed to the ring she had spotted.
Her eyes shone as she saw the two dresses, pink like her hair and beautiful. She pointed to the one on Kierans left which was a stunningly simplistic dress but has enough lace and frills to please the little girl who dreamed of being a princess and was often treated as such. "This one Papa! I simply love this one!"

Kieran smiled, brushing his daughter’s hair from her face. She looked so much like her mother, and he was the luckiest guy in the world. “Ok, I will place the order for your dress and pick up the ring now.” He blushed lightly as the owner looked at him and nodded.
Kier took the ring and put it in the box it belonged to, stuffing it in his inner coat pocket. He was close to the jewelry shop owner in the plaza; he had helped her daughter that had little to no chance of living get better. She had wanted to keep him, but Kieran had a family and she understood that. Looking at Nyx now she smiled. He looked over at the dress nyx liked and the lady smiled again and gave a short nod.
Kieran put a hand between Nyx’s shoulders and lightly and lovingly pushing her to the door. “I think we should head home now, before your mother has a panic attack and I have to tell her about the whole dance studio thing.” He winked at his daughter and led her away, whistling a show tune.

Nyx beamed up at her father adoringly. Nyx and her mother got on well, but the relationship that Nyx had with her father was something different. It was a special father-daughter bond. "Thank you Daddy!" she said sweetly, getting up on her tippy-toes to kiss him on the cheek. "I'm positive Mama will be very happy when you ask her to marry her." she added, smiling up at him.
Nyx smiled back to the woman in the jewellry shop. She seemed like a nice person. She let herself be pushed to the door, looking up at her father with a worried expression. "If we get back before Mama gets worried you wont tell her will you? She's going to be angry with me." she said softly, taking his hand and looking up at him lovingly with her big pink eyes.

Kieran looked down at Nyx and pursed his lips shaking his head lightly. “Your right… she would be mad. If you promise not to go there without one of your siblings I won’t tell her.” It wasn’t just because Kieran favored Nyx that he said this… but rather that heated to see Percy upset over trivial things. Nyx was growing up…. Kieran knew this, and yet… it seemed that Percy was still over protective. “lets go home, I'm getting sleepy.” He mumbled, faking a yawn and hiding a grin behind his hand. At least that was done with… one less thing for him to worry over.
Kir fingered the inside of his pocket, running his finger over the ring lightly. He couldn't wait until he could give it to her, when he had the courage to, but before he did some things had to be acknowledged, very important things. Things his daughter couldn't know about.
