Deimos watched his mother move towards the three sisters, young wolves he still had a habit of calling pups. But to him, they were still pups. Very quickly, they had become his little girls, and he felt fiercely protective of them, as did Phobos. A grin touched his maw as he saw Clotho pounce on his brother, the tiny little thing taking her larger uncle to the ground.
"Pho, you're such a pushover," he chuckled, getting closer to the two. Clotho grinned at him and leapt away just as Deimos pounced on his brother, then she joined back into the fray. Lachesis had slunk over to them, watching unblinkingly from the sidelines before turning her empty, creepy stare to Bia, cocking her head to one side.

Bia watched as her sons and granddaughter played and a smile slowly curved her muzzle. Yet this was what life was about, it felt as if just having seen this moment of peace and love between her blood she could finally be at peace. Her tail wavered slightly the sensation was odd for it had been so long since she had expressed joy in such a fashion.
She glanced at Lachesis and met her stare for a moment she was thrown back in time a painful memory of Moirai tearing at her in a fit. She inhaled raggedly and pushed the thought down, these girls weren't like their mother...
She offered the staring female a soft smile and hesitantly moved forward a few steps. She could feel her body ache as she resisted from running to the girls and nuzzling them, she loved them already as blindly and truly as she had loved their mother. Yet now she knew better, she held herself back...sometimes love wasn't enough.

Lachesis cocked her head the other way, giving Phobos a nervous glance. He stopped his play, one of Deimos' ears between his teeth, the alpha at his mercy. His tail started wagging and he nodded slightly, reassuring her. The unblinking femme took cautious steps towards her grandmother, tail low and ears back nervously.
Atropos snuck around the trio of playing wolves, lip lifting in a snarl at her sister Clotho's antics. Such immaturity from the little mute. Such affection from the two males who were their uncles. All because she'd opened her little mouth and spoke pretty, if dire, words. She scoffed silently, and used Lachesis as a distraction, creeping up behind Bia until she was almost directly next to the white, red spattered wolf. Lifting her lips in a silent snarl, exposing fangs dangerously longer than many wolves, she waited. Waited for her presence to be felt, for Bia to turn . . .

Bia watched Lachesis hopefully the closer her granddaughter came the harder it was for her to keep from leaping to cover the distance between them and nuzzling her. Her eyes flicked to the playful Clotho and she wondered if she might ever have a chance to snuggle with her dear ones in such a fashion.
Slowly she turned her crimson gaze over her shoulder the sight of fangs reminded her of Moirai, but instead of cleverly moving away Bia was ruled by her heart...her foolish heart some might say. She swiftly moved to nuzzle the fanged female, and not just one small tender nuzzle, no she moved her whole body close and licked right along her fanged muzzle.
She danced back nervously and felt her blood warm. "Forgive me dear one...I...I am simply so glad to see you..." She held back a soft sob, such a hard thing to hold back all the love she had wanted to give her family for so long.

So surprised by the femme's reaction, Atropos just stood there and blinked. That was not the reaction she had been hoping for. Staring wide eyed at Bia, the long fanged teen suddenly frowned. "Who are you?"

Bia ducked her head her voice a low whisper. "I...I am your grandmother..." She looked at Atropos hopefully and glanced at Lachesis and Clotho uncertain if they had heard her. She had hoped somehow that they might love her the way her own children could not for her abandonment.

Lachesis blinked at Bia, something she rarely did. The news seemed to take her by surprise, but then her tail wagged. It was the only visible sign of her mood, and she dipped her head. A piece of wood, carved and polished somewhere by some two-legged, looped by a string fell from around her neck to the ground and she took it gently in her teeth, padding forward. Tail still wagging gently back and forth, she dropped it at Bia's feet, back to her unblinking, creepy stare that seemed to look far deeper than it should.
Suddenly Clotho stopped chewing on her uncle's tail, staring at Lachesis with her jaw dropping open. Fear suddenly sprang into her eyes as she watched the piece of wood fall, and she leapt to her feet, running for it. A piece of string fluttered to the ground, having come unwrapped from her tail in her tussles. It landed folded upon itself, looking as though it were only 6 or 7 inches long.
Intrigued, Lachesis watched the string fall, leaning down to grab the stick in her teeth, but Clotho barreled into her, knocking her away from it. Phobos followed behind her, snatching the stick from the ground and tossing it at Deimos, who caught it in his teeth, worry in his eyes.
Atropos watched it all with a slight grin, her eyes narrowed. Then she turned to Bia again, and spoke in a tone that was as smooth as a river stone, stalking around her grandmother on light paws, but something dark gleamed in her eyes.
"Welcome to the family."

Bia watched the wood and strong her granddaughters quick actions and her sons curious ones, it was all most interesting but nothing could really draw her attention from the girls themselves.
Her tail wavered with hesitant joy and her posture slowly relaxed warmth filling her crimson eyes. "Family..." She looked at Atropos for a long moment and spoke with a soft sigh. "once you've reached the bottom...theres no where to go but up...I only hope I can get back up." If she had to climb out of a pit of her own making she needed the stepping stones of love and forgiveness...and it seemed each once would be hard earned. But for the first time in so very long a spark of hope shone in her eyes.
