An eagle-eyed fan with good memory spotted something in the various photos floating around the 'net that reveals something about the story [SPOILERS]: In a picture of Matt Smith walking amid some bits of wreckage, one large piece of metal has the word "BYZANTIUM" on it. Which harkens back to Silence in the Library, where River Song asks the Doctor, "Crash of the Byzantium, have we done that yet?".
The Eleventh Doctor is sporting a bow-tie. How many other Doctors had one? I seem to remember the Hartnell, Troughton, and Pertwee Doctors, but I'm not sure about the rest. It's almost like bow-ties are for old fogies.

And thus my point: Ten.
An older Ten. Thought so...so they are following that storyline... Yay that Rose will always remain Ten's soulmate!

Shinigami-Rem_Death-Note 1. Please tell me it isn't true about Tennant cry 2. PLEASE tell me this new doctor is going to have better fashion sense as the next series goes on! 3. PLEASE TELL ME THAT ISN'T THE REAL TARDIS! WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO IT?! I MEAN FOR THE LOVE OF SKARO THEY COULD AT LEAST USE A DARKER BLUE! burning_eyes EDIT: playmobile Daleks?! WHERE?! 1. Yes, Doctors die and change into new Doctors, it's part of why DW can continue on as a really really long series. While I'm sad that Tennant will no longer the the Doctor, I welcome the new new new new new new new new new new Doctor up to the plate. He will probably do just as good a job as everyone else has, he's a actor, that's what their paid to do. 2. Usually, the Doctor wears generally the same thing throughout his regeneration. While there are minor colour changes to the costume, the costume usually stays the same. 3. I don't mind the TARDIS being bright blue as long as it's written into the story line. I know that our beloved ship has been through hell (literally) and back but with a bit of industrial strength alien goo scrubber and a few Brillo pads, it could look shiny and new on the outside. All this is well and good, only if there is a good reason. 4. I doubt there will be anymore from the Daleks for a while, RTD already had them show up at least once a season for 4 seasons, that's a bit much. I welcome whatever new ideas SM has for the show.

Could have been someone in the costume department thinking, "Oh crap, they cast a doctor who seems really young, let's put something on him that makes him seem older." Which it does, he's wearing a bow tie and high waters, makes him seem much older without being older. biggrin

Ceribri Oh dang. They better have some good reason how she's able to recognise him. After the initial shock of how young Matt Smith is, I'd have to say that they can do anything as long as they have a good reason.

I don`t mind the new outfit. It might look weird having a professor-type outfit on a younger guy, but other doctors have had weird outfits too, so I think it`s fine.
I don`t mind the new-looking Tardis either, as long as the explain why it`s like that. I guess Moffat figured that if he was updating other stuff, he might as well do the Tardis too. Honestly, I`m really looking forward to the new Tardis interior.

They're talking about a film with Tenth Doctor (this should be confirmed or denied Saturday night @ the Comic-Con. This would complete the River Song story arch...

For her, it might be, like, the 53rd time she ran into him out of 97 times. Or the second out of a dozen. Who knows? And who knows how many Doctors she'll have seen, and how easily she'd recognize & accept the changes (kinda like how the Brig has gotten pretty blase about running into new Doctors).

If they're changing the ship's interior, I hope the TARDIS's new desktop theme will be 'Sandy Beach'.
*imagines the TARDIS crew flying around in skimpy beachwear*
