"Pish posh. I don't even remember the last time...the last time I gave that girl alcohol. S'not like young ladies should be drinking it at all...though...I s'pose she's of age now..." Arthur mused, reality slipping, and simply estimating his daughter's age.

When a pink-haired girl came up to ask him a question, he squinted at her, then tilted his head, racking his brain for thoughts. "I s'pose so. I seem to be lots of people's uncle nowadays...?", the Brit answered, avoiding the subject of who she actually was.

Arthur ignored Matthew. Wait, who did he ignore? What? Who?

"Daddy! I found some drinks for you! And some nice-looking bourben too!" Alice had trotted back, after finding the bottles of the liquid her father had oh so desired.

Taking one look at Arthur's confused face, she smiled again. Acting much more energetic and active than she usually would around others, she introduced Melissa, knowing that Arthur probably forgot.

"That's Melissa, Daddy. I think. Right?" she offered Arthur a bottle from the handful she had gotten. Grabbing a random bottle, Arthur downed a quarter of it in one go.

"Right. Right. Splendid. Good girl.", he said, noncommitedly.

((I always saw England as having the father/son relationship w/ US and Canada, but canonically, England wanted to be a 'brother' rather than a 'dad', or anything of the like. ))

Watch out! The Canadians are here!

"Um, does he do that all the time?" she asked the girl near him. Melissa was perplexed by how fast that guy could chug down alcohol. She avoided alcohol because, one, her father didn't drink and two, she was still underage. (Even if she was a nation.) Oh, and why the hell was Uncle Arthur drunk?!

[[ooc]] I'm using Uncle. Solve's everything. -too lazy to debate anyways- [[/ooc]]

Alfred just watched his daughter leave, turning off his own way. "That girl... Really, sometimes, I just wonder where she gets this from." He forced a chuckle, sipping his beer. He never thought that he'd see Arthur just when he turned around, though... Arthur and someone who must have been his daughter. Seriously the similarity between those two were surprisingly distant... but he could see it dead on. If there were anyone who knew the former empire well from the inside out, it might as well have been Alfred. It seemed as if he were getting drunk... "Just like always..." He forced a smile on himself, and patted Arthur on the shoulder softly, leaning over to grin into his ear, whispering softly as if to tease him. "Yo, Arthur. Seems like you're having fun."

Oh God... Abigail watched from afar from the corner of her eyes, to willing to see what was the chaos her father would bring up upon the European household. She herself had some nice Icelandic vodka, and pfft! Screw the laws, she was in Europe. Out of home... and Alfred actually let her.

((Canada used to be France's colony but then England won him in a battle -or something like that- So then England gained custody of both americas. Also it seems that the nations can always tell who is another nation...))

"So Matthew how have you been? I hear things are rather peaceful on your side and I see you're daughter is doing well." Denmark said speaking to the usually ignored nation he figured England could talk to America and America could deal with the drunken waiter.

"No," Alice grinned, "Just on the more...um...", she tapped a finger on her bottom lip, "the more reminiscent days.", she smiled, answering Melissa.

"Wha-" Arthur turned around to a faceful of Alfred. Blushing madly, though whether it was the alcohol or the indignity of being sneaked up upon by Alfred, of all people. "Shut it, git. And I am, matter o'fact!", he frowned. "Lookit, I got th'drinks! That's all I need t'have some fun!", Arthur raised his bottle to prove his point, and tilting it to drink a large gulp.

"Booze is all I need anyway.", the Brit muttered, remembering all the times he had been abandoned by his former colonies. "When Daddy has booze, he sounds really sad, but on the inside, he's happy!" Alice chirped in, sounding for all the world like she had recited it many times in the past.

"Quite right. Good girl.", Arthur finished the bottle, and traded it for another in Alice's arms, petting her, bringing out a happy grin from the girl.

"Me? Uh, things are well. Much quieter now. How's your son?" The usually ignored nation wasn't really used to all this social stuff, so he was very akward at this stuff.
"Hm. I see. Melissa tried to look convinced from what Alice had said. However, she wasn't really convinced. Wasn't booze like, a depressant or something? It made you more depressed not happy, right?

The tall American grinned winked at the older Arthur when the latter spun around, glad they weren't at the Jones household. It would've been... worse there. "I knew you'd come, since I hardly think you'd miss out on the drinks like this! And heh, you've got quite a lovely daughter there - Alice, right? Pleasure to meet ya." Arthur, thinking back in the old days? Sounds just like him... It was too bad that Arthur wasn't the only one upset on the Fourth of July centuries back. "Artie, you're not going to drink everything like that..." He placed his finished bottle aside, and smiled that awesome and trademark smile he's been known for. "Drinking contest. You... and me only."

Meanwhile, Abigail gritted her teeth as her father had just challenged the more experienced and older man. "What the hell is he doing this time?!" The pale blond would have cracked her bottle by now with her bare hand, but her anger wasn't at the level yet. Dad.... is SO gonna be dead meat once we get back.

((I thought Alfred called England Iggy?))

"Sadly he hasn't been feeling well as of late that's why you don't see Beowulf here beside me." Denmark said worried about his son. He couldn't believe he left to go attend this reunion but his boss had practically forced him to go.
"I wished I was not forced to come so I could be home taking care of him." he added in with a shameful look. "Otherwise things have been quiet on my side as well. It's rather...peaceful and I hope it stays that way when Beowulf takes over."

"Lovely dau-, oh, right, her.", Alice was nearly forgotten in his anticipation for the challenge.

Arthur grinned, eyes narrowing. "Two words, wanker: Bring it.". And though it was true he couldn't hold his alcohol well, he sure as hell could endure before passing out. With a bladder and liver practically trained for this type of endurance-drinking, he couldn't remember the last time he needed to go to the loo in a bar for that sort of thing. Besides, depression was just his first stage.

Alice looked on at this with a smile on her face, as if this was a normal occurence, which was entirely possible. "Do your best, Daddy!", she cheered in her child-like tone of voice, used almost exclusively only when with her dad. The new England stepped from behind Arthur closer to the American, acting as the supplier of the alcohol.

It most likely wasn't going to be an even match, looking at the varying sizes and type of different drinks she had in her arms, but it would prove to be interesting, at least. Hopefully, she wouldn't have to run back and forth too much, Alice didn't know how much alcohol Mister Roderich had, but she hoped that he wouldn't run out.

((Wow, very nice reception to Britannia Angel. ^_^ But well, he's not technically England anymore, but I guess Iggy is an endearing nickname? I hope I'm doing okay with England! I've never RP'd him before.))

"Oh ho, looks like someone's still got game after the years gone. " Yes, this was definitely the same Arthur he'd grown up to admire. It was a poor fact that Alfred F. Jones wasn't trained well for wine, or other refined alcohol. Because we all know that he's best known for his record of beers back in Texas... "So! Let's discuss. Whoever ends up backing out, blahblahblah, y'know, any of that... loses. Sound good?" Hey, if there were anything better to do, what else could it be?

"What... am I even doing here again?" Abigail found one of her palms up on her face as if saying Why me? but it was just the older America that would have just needed to get a life.... perhaps. "You forgot about the prize and or consequence for either loser or winner, Dad..." She muttered, loud enough on accident for them to hear without noticing, and went back to drinking her vodka.

[ You are rocking with England, Blaire! ^ ^ And yeah, I figured that, too... ]

Arthur had already started the contest by the time Alfred had finished talking. Scoffing, he said, "Always the talker. I've already started, wanker.", taunting Alfred usually seemed to pull out his competitive side, and after all these years, Arthur wondered if it would still hold true.

"Why don't you give Alfie here some bo'ls, and see if he wants to start already.", the Brit laughed, before going bottoms up himself.

Alice pulled out two containers of whatever they were for Alfred. It seems like Abigail knew of what goes on in a drinking contest. "Okay Daddy, please don't choke!", she warned, though in vain, because it happened quite rarely with him.
