"Yes of course," Allara nodded respectfully. "Sirus Demium, this is Luci, partner in my travels. Luci, this is Sirus Demium. Much like myself, he is also the child of one of Lucifer's loyal followers." She then regarded the demon for a moment before adding, "he may not be as powerful as some of the others, but I prefer to hire him because he is descret and despite his lower ranking, he can open portals to some of the more difficult areas."

In the past, Allara would have flirted with Sirus, even tried to seduce him into giving up his soul by offering him power or even companionship. It was her way. But now he had been marked by a demon whos abilities rivaled, if not overwhelmed her own. Hellfire or no, Allara would not attempt to influence someone who had been mark by Eris.

It was best that they concluded this deal as soon as possible and went their seperate ways. Allara asked once more, "did you complete your mission?"

Sirus listened to what they had to say respectfully and did not interrupt. Although he did not show any emotion on his face or give off any senses in his aura, he was quite disturbed by what the one called Luci had told him of the mark. He would definantly have to confront Eris on the subject later.

Sirus blinked as something caught his attention. For a moment he ignored what Allara was telling Luci about his abilities or whatever. His gaze settled on Luci...there was something odd about her that Sirus couldnt put his finger on.

Then he saw it.

Sirus had the ability to see death marks, to know when someone was going to die or to see their spirit after their death....which was why he tended to avoid graveyards. But Luci was something entirely different. He had to focus to see it properly, but standing behind Luci was a shadow, pitch black with long extended wings.

To properly record his thoughts on the apparition, Sirus would have to say...it scared the living s**t out of him. He knew it was not real, only a metaphysical representation of Luci's spirit....but...it felt so powerful and wrong.

When he finally turned away he realized that he had been shaking and his skin had gone cold. He did his best to recover from the shock and acted as if everything was normal when he spoke to Allara. "Uh..y-yes, yes I have completed the mission." He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out the silver necklace he had gotten from the priest.

User ImageLuci looked at Sirus, almost as though she knew what he could see.. The dark shadow with pitch black long extended wings seemed to disappear as Luci started speaking, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Sirus Demium.." She looked curiously at the necklace but said nothing.

Sirus could feel the sweat running down the back of his neck. This was something that he had never encountered before. He had traveled to nearly every corner of Earth and even various realms of demonreach and celestial alike. He had seen horrors that would make even the Seraphim weep tears of agony....but this...

Sirus once again forced the thoughts from his mind as Luci addressed him. He needed to stay on task. So he replied politely as possible, "as it is for me, Luci."

He then swallowed down the rest of his fear and turned to Allara, "I have completed my task. Are you willing to fulfill yours?"

Allara found Sirus's little twitching incident rather intriguing. It would seem that the two of them knew something about Luci that she did not. Allara seemed to think about this for a second or two. The truth was that she really did not know anything about Luci, other than the fact that she is a loyal follower of Lucifer.

However, the subject was neither here, nor there, and in the face of her ultimate goal, it mattered very little. So she gave Sirus a gentle smile and said seductively, "now, now dear Sai. Don't I always keep my promises?"

She held out her hand for him to place the necklace in. "Give me the necklace, and I shall do as you request." Their earlier deal was that Sirus would aquire the artifact from the priest, and in exchange Allara would grant him one request.

The request of course, would be one that she would be able to accept or decline, by choice. But by the end of the day she would still have to grant a request, or suffer the consequences. It would be interesting to see what his request would be.

Sirus looked from Allara's outstretched hand to her face and then back to her hand once more. It was true enough, so far she had not gone back on any of their previous dealings. So Sirus stepped foreward and let the necklace fall into Allara's hand.

Then he took two steps back, forcing himself to ignore Luci as much as possible, and to ignore the way Allara kept trying to work him over with her skimpy looks and creepy smiles.

Now it was time for him to recieve his payment. Although, not all payment is in the form of silver and gold. He glared at Allara with determination and said, "can you remove Death's curse from me?"

{sorry for the wait, I had to go look at your profile sweatdrop }

Allara tilted her head in confusion and slight disappointment. Out of the many things he could have asked for, gold, power, compainionship, he wanted to remove an ancient curse. None the less, Allara focused on Sirus and looked upon him with her sight. She could see his soul, strong and determined, and not fractured like most demons. But sure enough she could see a little black spot that served as the curse's point of orgin, or it's roots.

Allara closed her eyes and let out a sigh. "Im afraid not. Only death himself would be able to remove his own curse. Much like how only Eris can remove that mark on your cheek." Allara fixed Sirus with her most honest face and continued, "There are some demons that may have the power to do such, but it is beyond my abilities."

There was a few moments of silence before Luci spoke, "I can remove it.." She said with a slight smile, hinting that there was a catch. "Such an interesting curse.." Her voice was slightly lofty. "Death must have been quite angry.." She giggled slightly at the thought. It seemed that the wind picked up again, and it seemed as though her hair and her clothes were dancing in the breeze. The terrifying shadow with the long black wings reappeared in Sirus' sights, though this time seemingly slightly frightful, and yet somewhat exciting..

Sirus felt ripples running across his skin like cold droplets of water, but for the most part he managed to ignore the sensation and focus on what Luci was saying.

He blinked in surprise.

"Really?" he asked, sounding hopeful, but wary, "what would I have to do in exchange?" It was true enough, there was no such thing as a free lunch....although the metaphor did not necesarily apply to this perticular situation.

Luci smiled slightly, "To make the curse go away, I will have to make your bond with Eris much stronger. Though it might not be a completely bad thing. Eris can sense where you are at all times, know if you are in danger-and even in pain. If the bond is strengthened she would be able to see through your eyes. Though since the bond is stronger, you could be able to do the same. Both would be able to tap into each other's sensations-sight, touch, smell, taste... and powers--limitedly.. You would be forever bonded with her... But Death's curse would be forever gone. You would have to bring Eris here for it though. It is your decision.

{wow, I thought you guys would have already moved on without me by now.. eek }

Allara stood patiently, although slightly annoyed. She still had a deal to complete whether or not Luci could remove death's curse on the young demon or not. She had other contacts waiting as well.

Not to mention the sheer wrecklessness of summoning another being to this location. Even if Eris would not reveal their secret, there was also a chance that even Malus might keep a watchful eye on her.

Of course it could just be paranoia. Allara had believed for a long time that the fewer people that knew about this village, the better off it (and the rest of the world) would be.

When Sirus had taken a few minutes to respond, Allara decided to voice her opinion. "Could this perhaps be done another time. I do not mean to complicate this matter, but we are on a pressing sschedual and I still owe young master Sirus a request. As mortals would say, 'time is profit'."

Luci gave a strange and unreadable look to Allara, "I do believe that there are a few sayings that are similar... Though these two are my favorites; 'One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.'and 'Patience can conquer destiny.' She winked at Allara when she said the last one. In other words she was countering Allara's impatient feelings with telling her to be patient. "It is a decision that he must make now. I will only undo the spell here." She paused for a moment before adding, "To profit the most you must have patience. Or you may not profit at all."
