My mom thinks that the band is just wierd. She always ask me why I like their stuff so much because to her it sounds like non sensical wierd crap. I got my grandpa to like system of a down though, that's right my grandpa,. He heard questions and was really impressed, he doesn't like all of thier stuff but he likes some of it. He's more into thier stuff that features symphony and acoustic guitar.

Aww, Washu sweetie, you're so lucky your mom thinks they're cute. I didn't even ask my mother. I wouldn't admit I think they're cute because my father and her would tease me forever. X3

Cheerful Spirit Aww, Washu sweetie, you're so lucky your mom thinks they're cute. I didn't even ask my mother. I wouldn't admit I think they're cute because my father and her would tease me forever. X3 ... That's why I'm kinda afraid telling my mom and dad I have a boyfriend.

My family?
My dad doesn't say anything about it. Except when I was playing Aerials on my guitar. He commented on how it sounds alot like it.
My mom thinks it's interesting. She likes how it's varied styles (my reason of liking it too). When I showed her a picture of Daron she said, 'Armenians are hot!'.
Then the rest of my family are hicks from Alberta. Doubt they really listen to it.
Then there's my cat... xD

Don't worry, my family are all hicks from Winnipeg. My cousin's goals in life are to own a farm and a big a** truck.

Lolol. In our year books when we graduated in grade 8, we could put what we want to do in life, something that will never happen, and what they didn't want to do. This is what I put.

my parents hate SOAD
my mom tells me to turn that s**t off and yells at me for listening to it crying But I still love their style and s**t like that!!!!!!
I usually get mad and turn it up more justy to piss her self off
And my dad doesnt even know wh they are...

my mom thinks i'm (overall) weird. She disapproves of ALL of my music though....
she makes me go to church & i get lots of stares. especially when i blast SoAD in the parking lot after service!!! xd
edit- my stepdad lets me do whatever i like so long as i don't die from it. he knows who they are & actually LETS me listen to them!!! unlike mom, who is a proper-maniac... stare

I hate going to Church, now. When I want to congregate with the Lord, I just pray for a long time. You don't need a church in order to pray. I get weird looks with me disliking the country-Christian music with recycled lyrics. Next time I go to Church, I'm wearing my SOAD shirt. ^.^v
Example of a Church day:
I'm just sitting (in my car and waiting for my girl) and these people a bit older than I am ask me, "What's your favorite band? I really like *insert Christian band here*. Do you?" I reply, "System of a Down is my favorite band." I get a reply to that. It's, "Didn't they make a Christian song? Uhhh... Chop... um.... Chop Gravy?"
Uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
"I think you're thinking of Chop Suey. That song is exactly a 'Christian' song. They made it slightly about the Armenian Genocide, but... Ah, I can't explain it fully." I say, nodding my head.
The response: "Why do you like music you can't fully understand?" They end up sounding like the Athiests who ask us, "Why do you believe in something you can't fully understand?"
