Uhura rose from her chair and smiled at hr friend. "Sure, whats up?" More she thought about it more she thought it might be personal. "Or do you want to go and talk this over a drink?"

Amanda smiled "Thank you so much Captian Kirk." Amanda walked closer to her son. She could tell he was judging her and how she was going to great him. She planed on a human greating
"Oh Spock!" She threw her arms up and hugged her rather tall son.
Spock stood still. He knew it was not like a Vulcan to hug. But he didn't really want to offend his mother. So ever so slowly he put his arms around her in a small hug. "Mother, I see you are doing well."
Amanda released her son and looked him over. "yes, yes, just growing older, come take me to a proper room for us to talk." Amanda held out her arm for him to take.
Spock nodded "This way." He didn't take her arm.

Sarek watched with an eyebrow raise so miniscule that only Amanda and Spock would have noticed it as Amanda attacked their son. Once she and Spock had left the room Sarek turned back to the captain, We can continue Captain. I would ask a pardon for my wife's outburst but it seems a common characteristic of humans, therefore I shant waste the energy."

"Jim, did you know about Starfleet replacing my nurse? Because I sure as hell didn't. And what's this about the switch being tomorrow, Jim? What if thise new nurse isn't trained or anything? Well I mean, of course they'll be trained but we don't know what they're doing in the academy now Jim, we don't know!" It was just like Dr. McCoy to be as pessimistic as humanly possible, but he was simply stating the facts.

"Oh that'd be much nicer, yes." Nurse Chapel offered out an arm for Uhura to take so the two of them could walk of to a leisure room together and talk there. She'd much rather say her goodbyes in a less work-oriented environment.

Chekov turned to the pilot beside him, "What d'you think dat was about?" He tilted his head back to the women, "Is it true dat we are getting new nurse on the ship? You think we're all being replaced one by one Mr. Sulu?"

Spock saw no better place to take him mom then to his room. Knowing her she would ask all sorts of questions he didn't really care to share with any one else.
Amanda sat donw in one of the chairs that sat in her son's room. "Spock sweety, how have you been?" It was what any mother would ask of her son.
"I have been well, and you mother?" He couldn't see why she was reasking this question, she had asked it at the loading dock. Spock searched the for loqic in her asking it again.
"I have been well of course, your father has been so busy latly, I some times worry about him and his health," Amanda sighed "Spock I wonder do you have a girl who worries about your health and well being?"
Ah ha. Spock relized she was going to question about a weather or not her had a companion yet. "If you are asking me if I have found some one, then mother I would answer with nothing of but the truth, if there was a truth to tell." Spock couldn't lie, not out right. But he could dance around the answer.

Uhura Took her friends arm. As the two made there way Uhura had to wonder what was going on. When they sat down at a table she busted "Ok so what is going on?"

"Alright sweetie, then, here goes: I wanted to say goodbye, before tomrrow. I wasn't sure if you'd heard, but, I'm getting transferred to a new Starfleet ship and they're sending a new nurse to serve on the Enterprise." Nurse Chapel shifted in her seat a bit, "The story has it's bright sides, but I have to say, I'll definitely miss this ship."

(was all this nurse stuff said earlier? because i didnt read anything until i started... i should start reading...)
"WAs i supposed to know about this? Well anyway McCoy dont worry about it. Im sure the new nurses will be just fine. If not i will sent them away and we will get new ones...or you could train them your self." Kirk said with a smile.

"If you do not mind my opinion, doctor, it would be illogical for Starfleet to send nurses without the training and skills needed to work aboard a ship such as the Enterprise."
Sarek turned his attention back to Kirk, "Captain, I am here regarding a Starfleet, or so it claims to be, vessel currently orbiting Vulcan. They seem unaware of Vulcan's neutral standing and are demanding we take up arms against a supposed Klingon attack. We know that your mission is one of peace, however, the Starfleet vessel in question seems unaware, we were hoping you could ocntact any superiors who would be in charge and kindly have them removed as it would be illogical to attack a Starfleet vessel - even one causing such a disturbance."

Amanda relized that spock wasn't answering her question at all. "Why Spock your lack of answer is sugesting to me that you do have one and wish not to tell me, is that the truth?" A direct question like that was hard to lie speak your way out of.
Spock knew his mother had been smart, he also knew her to be great at picking up on the un lie like of the Vulcans. But he was still slightly surprised at just how good she was. "Yes mother, I have some one, I just don't know if she would appreciate me telling any one about it."
This little tidbit intrested her greatly. "Oh so this is some one you should be with really then?"
Spock did a short crisp nod. "It would probably be the best if we were not."

Uhura was shocked "That is not fair, they can't do that!" She stood up and walked around the tabel "OH!" Uhura bent down to give her frined a hug. What else could she do?

"Thanks," McCoy held Sarek in the same regards he held Spock, and they weren't great, "unfortunately, human's aren't all that logical so I can't be sure of anything that they're going to send me." He turned back to the captain, "You should know Jim! I don't know it was Nurse Chapel that told me!"

"Unfortunately they can, and they are." Nurse Chapel hugged her friend back, "As I said I found a few good things about the switch, I only hope you'll find a friend in the newest nurse! If not, let me know and I'll sne done of the other girls over to kick her a**!"

Chekov walked with a rather fast pace down the corridor until he reached Spock's room. Normally he would have called him from the bridge, however, Mr. Sulu had walked off to take care of something and the communications officer was gone as well, and Chekov wouldn't dare touch the captain's chair, so he ran all the way to Spock's room. He would prefer it be in private as well.
The automatic door opened before him but he didn't step in and stood outside of the room, "Mr Spock, I am sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering, if there was time, if I could speak to you?"

"Well that seems to be a problem. I will do what ever i can to help you. All should know that Vulcan's are neutral. Maybe someone had miscommunicated that detail. I will contact someone at once!" Kirk said picking up his communicator. "Uhura i need you to get a hold of the one who sent a starfleet to Vulcan Planet and tell them kindly to leave the planet alone. and that they wont be fighting against the Klingon's. They wont be fighting at all" Kirk said to Uhura

"Your effort is greatly appreciated captain." Sarek commented, "I hope it will not bother you but I have a second favor to ask: there is an interplanetary council meeting which will be held three of your Earth days from now. It is in the same direction which you are going, as I would never ask of you something as illogical as changing the Enterprise's direction, however, with our current problem on Vulcan it was impossible to take one of our own crafts. I saw nothing more logical than to, to use the human term hitch a ride with the Enterprise."
The doctor would surely find amusement in the english slang.

Spock stood "Excuse me mother." And walked around to the open part of his dwelings "Yes Chekov?"
Amanda didn't bother to try and eas drop. She was busy trying to guess girls that Spock would be better off not dating. She was going to have to guess she held a important job.

Uhura let go of her friend to answer the captins call. "Yes Captain, I will get on that right away."
Whiping a tear from her eye Uhura hugged Chapel one more time. "when I'm done with this we will talk some more." Uhura hurried off to the bridge and sat donw infront of her desk full of bottons and flashing lights.
She had to contact Starfleet. "Starfleet comande this is Luitenit Uhura of Star Ship Enterprise, come in StarFleet comand." She held her hadn to the ear piece holding it in better.
A cackled reply came in. "This is Starfleet comand center 9, we read you Luitenat Uhura."
"Starfleet can you tell me what Starfleet ship was order to go to the planet Vulcan?"
"One moment please." the connection went silent, all for the hiss of the statick. "we have no records show that any Star Ship was sent to Vulcan."
Uhura frowned. "Thank you starfleet comande center 9, that is all."
Uhura shut off the connection then pulled out her comunicator. "Captian Kirk?"
