Jaella giggled. "Whoops." she said, amused by her own mishap. "Sorry bout that." she said, going to put the plastic wrap onto the tray. "There, that ought to work a lot better now, huh?"
Aaron chuckled, then lifted Sammi up. "Better, SamSam?" he asked, trying out a new nickname in the process.
Darcy took the little one, humming softly. It sounded somewhat akin to a mix of gypsy tunes and a lullabye.

"I think so." Thali said with a nod. She'd never made homemade popisicles before. "I'll put them in the freezer then, maybe before you leave, they'll be done." She stuck them in the freezer, smiling at the cold air on her face. It felt good, if only she could fit..
Sammi smiled, and gave Aaron a hug. " 'Etter, Mine." She confirmed with a nod. She didn't seem to mind this nickname, like she had with Syrelia's. "Mine? Wan candy?" She offered him a piece from the bag he'd given her. "Dere, Mine. We share."
Whatever the song was, it was working. Reiya leaned her head against Darcy's chest, yawning.

Jaella giggled, clapping her hands together in a very five-year-old-esque gesture. "Yay! I hope so, I really really hope so!" she said, bouncing a little. "Ooh....what are we gonna do while they freeze?" she asked, tilting her head to the side and still bouncing.
Aaron shook his head. "No, you keep the candy." he said, smiling lightly. "I brought it especially for you." He took a seat on Thali's sofa, trying not to jostle the toddler too much.
Darcy blinked; she didn't mean to put the child to sleep. Regardless, she gave the little one a hug, holding her securely.

"Uh. Sit on the couch and pretend it's negative ten degrees?" Thali suggested, intending on doing just that. Stupid heat. "Or... well, do you want to do anything? I suppose we could make something to eat." She paused, and looked to Darcy from the kitchen door. "Oh, I forgot.. Reiya hasn't had her nap yet."
Sammi shook her head at Aaron, and offered the candy to him again. "Mine has candy. I share." The toddler nodded as wisely as she could. "I have lots." She held up the bag.

Jaella tapped her lips with one finger, thinking. "Nah, I'm not hungry." she said, smiling. "Hmm....your idea sounds fun. I love playing pretend!" She then giggled. "I'm gonna be a penguin!" she said, waddling into the living room.
Aaron smiled. "Alright, if you insist." he said, taking the piece of candy and unwrapping it. "Thank you very much for sharing." he said, popping the confection in his mouth.
Darcy smiled. "I'll put her down for it then. No worries." she said, before going back to humming, gently rocking the toddler.

Thali sighed, and went to the loveseat. She flopped down onto it, and tried ignoring everyone in the house. The pretending it was cold wasn't helping much. It was still too hot.
Sammi smiled, and offered Aaron another one, before she plopped one into her mouth. "Good candy, Mine. Yum."
If it had been anyone else rocking her, Reiya would have resisted. She normally didn't willingly go for naps--she delighted in giving her parents trouble.. But since it was Darcy, and since she was tired.. The toddler looked up at the teenager with her eyes half closed. She yawned.

Jaella waddled over to Thali, still pretending. "What's wrong, Miss Thali?" she asked, tilting her head and swaying from heel to toe.
Aaron shook his head; one piece was enough for him. "I'm glad you like it, SamSam." he said, chuckling.
Darcy smiled; she appreciated a kid who cooperated. She cast her smiling gaze down to the girl, still humming as she made her way to the nursery....despite never setting foot in the house before.

"I'm melting." Thali explained, out of character as she was supposed to be freezing at negative ten degrees. "It's nice to meet you, Penguin Jae."
Sammi put--well, dropped the rest of her candy on the coffee table where it'd be safe. "Mine, play now?" She asked, smiling up at him. "We play lots and lots, kay Mine? Lots and lots!"
Reiya's eyes closed, soft breathing sounds could be heard. A hand fell from where it'd clutched Darcy's shoulder.

Jaella frowned. "Hmm....maybe you can use an ice-pack to cool off." she suggested, offering a small smile. She then giggled at the name, attempting to sound like a penguin. Which wasn't that good of an impersonation, considering she'd never heard a penguin before.
Aaron chuckled. "Alright, what do you want to play?" he said, amused by her enthusiasm. "And yes, we can play lots and lots."
Darcy smiled, then heading in the direction of the nursery. Despite never setting foot in the house before, she seemed to know where she was going.

"There's an idea." Thali said, standing up and going to the freezer. She took out an ice pack and put it on her forehead. She held it there while she made her way back to her seat. "That's better. Thank you, Penguin Jae."
Sammi smiled brightly, before pausing to think about it. "Play Airplane, Mine? Den we play 'Orsie. Den we play tag. Kay, Mine?" When she said lots and lots, she meant it.
Reiya slept peacefully. Though, she was one of those toddlers that would cry if someone attempted to put them down.

Jaella grinned. "You're welcome!" she chirped, giggling. She perched herself on the couch, glad that she'd helped her friend out.
Aaron smiled. "Alright, that sounds fine." he said, mentally wondering what on Gaia he'd gotten himself into. He hauled the little girl up, assuming the "airplane" position; holding her securely. "Ready?" he asked.
Darcy smiled, looking around the nursery. Not bad. Not bad at all. She walked over to the crib, then attempted to gently set the little one down in it.

Thali didn't answer. The ice pack had motivated her imagination, amd now she really could pretend she was somewhere ten below zero. She yawned, and leaned against the couch.
"Weady." Sammi said happily, spreading her arms out like wings. "Fly, Mine?" She was ready, ready to play all day and then some. Well, at least until it was bedtime.
Almost instantly, Reiya's eyes snapped open. She started to cry, and latched herself onto Darcy. The toddler sniffled, still clinging tightly to her friend.

Jaella decided to keep herself occupied by starting to braid her hair into tiny braids. Oooh, so fun!
Aaron smiled, nodding. "Yes, fly." he said, starting to "fly" her around the living room, careful not to drop her. "Having fun?"
Darcy blinked, picking the child back up and holding her. "Hey, now, it is alright. No need to cry..." she said, confused. Why was Reiya crying?

Thali closed her eyes. This was heaven. Well, it would be until the ice pack melted. Then she'd have to go get another one.
"Whee~" Sammi cried in delight, before giggling. "More!" Her expression was all the answer Aaron needed. This was fun! Maybe she could keep him this time? If she couldn't buy him at a store, maybe she could keep him when he came to her house?
Reiya sniffled again, hugging Darcy around the neck. Soon the sniffles became softer, until they were almost nonexistant. She seemed to be calmng down now that Darcy was holding her again. "My Dawcy." She said, her half-closed eyes looking at her friend.

Jaella hummed softly, content with her task. It was calming, and actually kept her in one spot for more than a couple minutes.
Aaron smiled, picking up speed and accentuating it with "whooshing" noises. It was nice, how easily amused little kids were. Why couldn't adults be like that?
Darcy smiled lightly, hugging the little one close and humming again. So she couldn't set her down, huh? Oh well; she could hold her for a bit longer. She didn't mind.
