"Well, Spirit, you will have to meet him one day. He is the perfect definition of the breed. He has four beautiful wings, hair that flows with the wind, and he watches over the oceans and waters."
Sengdroma believed in her father's teachings about the breed, that they were honorable and just. She believed in many of the teachings that her father had taught her. She hoped one day, to pass on his knowledge to others. "He is a good fighter, though he prefers peace. You will like him." she nodded with a proud smile.
"Doesn't it?" She started moving towards she shoreline. "We need to get you drying, it will take a while with your feathers being so thick." She gently nudged him towards shore as she passed.

"Yeah your right, there thick which means good flying wings."
He smiled and got out the water shaking a little bit before he laid down on the bank watching the water drip from him. He nodded in agreement, he had never been in a lake before. The sea yes. Never that deep though. He did not like water too much especially drying. He did not like being wet but from time to time it was... refreshing.
"Hmm. I will have to wait and see. You wont know if you like someone until you meet them. I was promised I would like the taste of grass. That backfired as soon as I found out people use it as a bathroom. Now I only eat from trees."
He stated for such a young one he was sure up tight about hygiene and stuff. He made his two-legger brush his fur at least once a day. It made him feel special and presentable if nothing else.
"I will believe you though. Just because it is you... You see infatuated with this guy. He must be cool to have a hot chick obsessing over him like that."

She laughed hysterically at his grass comment, "Well, Spirit, I can say I have never thought of that. But I adore wildflowers...You think they're safe?" she nudged him as he laid down.
"Here you go," She gently took his wings and stretched them out one by one so that the sun could dry them thoroughly and more quickly. "This is quicker.
"You don't have to meet me, if you ever come back to visit me, then perhaps he will be here!" She stopped at his last comment, she wasn't quite sure how to reply to 'hot chick'.
"Well, I...I think he's cool?"

"I dont think they are high enough to escape I mean some males are big you know. Anything under knee level is a target."
He stated not really understanding why she was laughing this was not funny! you could get sick. Just the thought made him feel sick to his stomach. Was that so odd or just him? he wondered before he shook his head. Then he felt one of his wings getting pulled out. They were growing stronger soon he would be able to fly better he knew it. He just needed more practice with his mother. He knew he was going to be strong it was in his genes after all Oathkeeper was his grandfather. He wore his mark on his chest. Something he was always proud of. Thats right he had not mentioned that yet...
"You know this heart on my chest. My father had it and so did my grandfather. He tells me he is going to be a elder one day. Its a real honour to wear it. I am the only one out of my siblings so far to have it. I also the only one to have my mothers wings... So I think I am the special one."
He smiled and joked trying to make conversation before all topics ran out.
"Ofcause you think hes cool, you would not have let him knock you up other wise. Now THATS unhygienic..."

She stopped, shocked for a moment by the colts brutal honesty, then suddenly began to laugh. "Well, I suppose you are right, but eventually that will be one that you learn to over come."
She walked in a small circle then laid down next to the colt, sunning her own coat to try off.
She smiled as he talked about his family and his markings. Sengdroma's family was proud of their lotus history. Though she had no flowers, she carried her mother's lilly pads. "You are special, Spirit, but you must remember that others are special for their own reasons too. But it must be an honor to wear your grandfather's mark." She nodded and closed her eyes to enjoy the sun. "I share my mother's markings, she is who gave me my lilly pads."
She took in a few breaths, relaxing in the sun before continuing. "So what brings you my way today?"

"Hehe. I suppose. It is natural after all although... it seems a little scary. Girls to me are just friends. Nothing more nothing less." He stated before darting away from the questions as soon as possible. He was not comfortable with the topic. As any young foal should be.
"They suit you." He smiled and nodded looking at her in more detail that time. "You know your hair colour is my favourite colour. Your right you do blend in well. You should be proud of them. You are a really pretty mare." He smiled in complement he was always trying to get on peoples good sides. Which however did not make his words any less true.
"Nothing. I was just wondering around looking for someone to play with and I ended up here. I did find someone to play with though. I think she is a great friend too."

She gladly accepted the change of topic, it was one that his parents should be talking to him about, not her, unless of course he came to her as an adult for advice.
"Well thank you, Spirit." She nodded and smiled. "A friend, eh?" she giggled and nudged him slightly with her shoulder, "I hope I can be as fun as your siblings! What do you normally play with them...or your friends?" she inquired. It had been some time since she had played games with her own children.

"well once I went down to the beach with my Kalona and mutant friend, I had only met them that morning, we went t the beach and ran around then we told ghosts stories. Played about scared each other..."
He said as he thought back he did not do much with his brothers and sisters to be honest. Not much at all.
"Me and my siblings fight a lot. We also try to out do each other. We are in constant contests and so on and so fourth."
He began to explain before he looked to the skies and smiled at all the birds and things up in the sky. He tilted his head and then looked at her once again before he looked to the lake.
"How about you Seng what do you do?"
He asked out of interest.

"Scarey stories, huh? I dont' know any of those." she smiled as she listened to him talk, she enjoyed having a foal around again.
"Well, I swim...I gather berries....I study forest creatures...and I practice my defensive skills. Not much that a foal would be interested in."

Rio looked a little confused. Why would someone need to know how to protect themselves, as a foal who has never really seen real danger he was totally oblivious to what was needed to protect oneself against anyone.
"Defensive skills.... er.... why?"
He asked tiliting his head in wonder.
"Who are you running from?..."
he wondered hasd she ever been forced into using them.

She laughed and shook her head, "I'm not running from anyone, Spirit." She looked over to him to try to explain.
"You see, before I had a family, I knew that I would need to be able to protect them. Maion introduced me to my mentor and I spent many moons learning how to protect myself...my family...and my herd from any dangers that might arrive. It's my duty to protect those that I love."
Luckily, she had only used her skills to spar. She had never been in a serious situation, yet.
