Ceres walked by her side and digested her words. She supposed it could be worse, but it was difficult to imagine. She felt terrible still, thinking of the gap that had been created with the loss of her mother, and Hippolyta's disappearance. No, not one bit of it felt normal or right.
But Moray was right, too. There were things that hadn't been taken away, and that could have been. As far as she knew, there had been no casualties besides her mother- none of her sisters had died or been killed. That was a blessing- if her sisters had been taken away, she would have no family left. "It could have been worse, I suppose," she said, vocalizing her thoughts.
"And yes we will!" Ceres said, fresh determination feeding her step. "They'll regret it."

Moray nodded and gazed down at her with a warm smile. She liked this cub already. She would be a good influence on her daughter indeed and they would probably get along well, so she was pleased. "Come ceres, you are welcome in our den as long as you like" she said, ducking down to enter the glen through the thick jungle plants.
