The spirit change destroyed priest leveling. I leveled a dranei in BC and it was about 100x easier than the blood elf I'm now working on. And that's even taking into account that this was before the xp nerfs and heirloom items. Both priests are discipline using pretty much the same spec. Though the dranei did have the advantage of imp wands.
I always found rogues stupid easy to level. Certainly helps that you don't have to spend 10 minutes clearing out an area to get one named mob and you can just head on to the next quest.

Priest is definitly one of the hardest classes to level. Takes an extremely expierenced player to level them. On top of that, having higher level friends for run throughs is a must! C:
The hardest class besides Priest, to me, is a Shaman. It took me...forEVER to get my Shammy to 30. Barrens=QQ. Anyways, getting my Shammy to 60 took...two months, cuz I had no questhelper, and a Shaman was my first class. Don't level a Shaman as your first class, save some of your sanity. Anyways, I finally got my Shammy to 80 3-4 weeks ago. I felt so accomplished, and proud that my first ever WoW character got to 80.
But yea, Paladins are ridiculously easy to level, aswell as DKs and Hunters. I find the first few levels rolling a Hunter annoying though, since you run out of arrows >.<

Mage is the only class I have trouble leveling. Not because it's hard, but because it's boring.

Mages are faceroll but require so many mana breaks.
Hunters are whores at levelling. So easy.
Infact any class with a pet is easy to level with.
Priests are so underequipped for levelling really.
Druids are dull up to 20, quick but dull up to 40, faceroll to 80.
Shamans are just boring to level.
Rogues are easy if you crit. If you don't they're s**t.
Warriors are...I dunno, I'm kinda torn.
Death Knights don't deserve a stake in this because they start form level 55. =/

So far ive leveled
A shaman to 80/ First 80
A dk to 80// Second
A paladin to 76/ Felt like lvling a pally
A mage to 73/ first char i made
A Warrior to 68/ Made and lvled
A Priest to 63/ Lvled quickly
A Druid to 50/ Lvled Quickly
A hunter to 34/ care less about...
And a lock to 20/ care less about...
The hunter and lock i just dont like to lvl not sure why they are easy and what not just a pain in the arse... to me

I find the first few levels rolling a Hunter annoying though, since you run out of arrows >.< your right preists are one of the hardest to level becuase they dont have very high melee capability and i'm used to running up and ganking people and monsters with my paladin even though its lvl 9 i dont think i'm going to like being a preist but yea DK's and hunters are easy to level becuase they have pets thouhg thats pretty much all to bad i have no one to run me on my preists realm i'm highest out of everyone but my guild leader =/ so usually thats why i stick with horde untill i get them to 80 i have 8 lvls to go =D and i have big responsibility of owning a guild and i have to get money back up from buying my flying mount

i think toons with pets like ghouls minions and pets are the easyest to level

DKs were easier to level when death strike was OP.

i hate leveling... ANYTHING RANGE... i don't know why but i have this nasty habbit of not touching anything thats ranged based, EG. Hunters... Mages... Priest.... i've stayed away

DK's are soo easy to level.
And I thought Pally's were hard to level... until like level 20/30 ish. Then the rest of the way was smooth sailing.

dirty old sod 2 I've so far tried out every class apart from Warriors (simply because they do not appeal to me), and some classes are much more easy to start out with I've notice. Hunters breeze through everything once you get a pet. Druids are fairly easily as well because you can heal and dps, and bear-form to take less damage. Pallies have good armor and kick butt. I just started a Priest the other day for the first time that I'm leveling with a friend, and it's like, oh, I've downed one beast and now I have no mana and I have to heal myself. Mobs can be such a b***h. Are they really this mana inefficient? Does it get better? i have a 75 priest and i have found i harder to level after 60 but before that it was easyer then now lols i actually got my bf to help me level to 70 before warith becuz i was having troubles by myself lols

I'm leveling a Priest right now! eek I was afraid of the idea of rolling a Priest class mainly because people will automatically assume you're the healing build >O< and I already have an off spec Resto-druid.
Give a wand to the Priest and it sure is fun to level O_O

Captain Muffdiver I really can't understand why people think Priests are hard to level. My first 60 (and then 70) was a priest. emo QFT I have 3 priests, i fact - 2 alliance, one horde. I leveled all 3 as shadow, but holy from 60-70 and 70-80 so i could do dungeons (obviously before duel specs...)
