After she raises her pressure his feet slowly comes back into contact with the ground before he raises his Zanpakuto. " I honestly didn't think it would hit you, but it's quite amazing you took it so well. Is that all you have though sweetie?" Manji smirked lightly at the fellow captain, waiting for her to attack.

It was always hard to locate someone flash stepping around, and even though Manji was a skilled captain, by the time he noticed her Zanpakuto wrapped around his leg it was far to late to avoid. Although, Manji, does follow her movements when she flips over to his other side and counters her kick by lifting that leg and taking the blunt blow from her kick against his shin. To prevent her from jumping back he reaches out and firmly grips her hip and pulls her body close to his, and once again their faces only inches apart. Smirking lightly while looking into her eyes and the trail of blood coming down her face as her Zanpakuto remains latched around his one leg.

allows himself to be thrown up into the air, but in mid air he rolled, so that he was looking down at her, instead of having his back turned to her. Once her Zanpakuto releases from around his leg and his back slams against the ceiling, he hovers there in the air, Coughing up a bit of blood on impact, yet there's no change in his reiatsu. Still subduing his full power, as he was certain she was too. Remaining suspended in mid air, after being slammed against the roof, he smirks while looking down at her. " I never give up, but if you agree to let me take you out for sake and eel, I'll let you win." Slyly he spoke and grinned while looking down at her through those emerald green eyes.

After the spar with squad's two captain a few days earlier, Manji was out in the bamboo forest, strapped on his chest was his hundred pound vest, fifty pound leg weights, and twenty-five pound wrist weights. Adding another one hundred and seventy pounds on his firm frame to weigh the captains movements down. Although, even with all the weight, he still swung Zetsumei Denrei at an amazing speed. Slashing multiple thick bamboo trees down in a single smooth fluid motion while dashing, and flash stepping through the dense forest, as if the weight wasn't even a factor. Yet if it wasn't, the kidou captain wouldn't be sweating as bad as he currently was.

To the captain, it was like meditation, taking out bamboo stalks that were as round as a human torso, his blade cutting through it like paper, clearing a large portion of tress in the forest, creating a round open area in the middle of the dense bamboo grove. Once satisfied he stopped in the middle, his undershirt soaked, as sweat beaded from his forehead, and his chest heaved lightly to replace his air depleted lungs. Resting the blunt edge of his Zanpakuto against his shoulder, looking at the cleared area, then slowly sheaths his elegant blade. Wiping his forehead with the back of his hand before grinning lightly.

As he was heading back to the dojo to drop off his equipment and bath, after his training session when suddenly the world he saw began to change. Immediately and quickly his right hand pulled his Zanpakuto, Zetsumei, from her sheath, ready to attack, although he had no ideal what to attack, the captain released a large amount of his reiatsu, so much so, that the floor beneath his feet crackled as if standing on ice. Frantically his eyes darted around what was the old academy, completely puzzled and off guard, Manji had no ideal what was going on or who was behind it.

Manji wondered what was going on before him as his spiritual pressure lowers back to normal and slowly sheaths his blade and began to take a few steps forward towards the young Kira, before stopping as the man walked up before her and handed her the Zanpakuto, then right there before his eyes, he witnesses her being possessed. Up until she looks at him with those pitch black eyes he was frozen in place, then as she reaches out for his hand, it only took Manji a second to flash step and slide to the ground, before Kira, his arms reaching out to pull her close. Staring into those black orbs, not knowing what else to do. "Kira? Can you hear me?"

Blood didn't affect Manji like it did most people, so when his haori was being stained with her blood, he was still able to think clearly, although he had noway of helping her, cloasing his eye as some of her blood splatters his cheek. " I don't know what's wrong, but your losing alot of blood internally." With his free hand he pushes her Zanpakuto away, which seemed to radiate with demon aura. " Who was that guy who gave you that sword Kira?" Pushing her bloody hair back from her face, so he could try to once again look at her solid black eyes.
