She blushed a bit, but had nearly gotten used to Faolan's cuddling by now. Cozy was just a nicer way to say uncomfortably small. But that could have just been the rich girl in her talking. She really should change that outlook of hers. After all, she wasn't rich anymore, was she?
Dang. She needed to learn to lie better. Looking up to the top of the cabinet again, she wasn't sure whether or not to bring it up, but since he'd asked... "I dunno... it just feels like... I dun really belong here. Like... I always feel like I should be helping out, but I dunno how to do anything. Plus it's... so different here. I'm just not used to it." And then there was Ellandra... "And I know Ellandra doesn't want me here..." Teenage girl insecurities were rising. She'd become a bit flustered, getting a bit too caught up in her worries to pay attention to where she was anymore.

"Aw, lass. You know that ain't true," Faolan said, hugging Lee a little. "We both want you here an' if you ain't sure how to help, we'll help you learn. Your parents do you many favors on havin' so many help about the house." He sat up a little, watching the girl with half-closed eyes. "Donnae know what else to say or do to show you we want you here."

"B-but, you see how sad she gets... She wasn't like that before." Lee rubbed at her cheek with her palm as she worried. She couldn't deny that she could learn, up to a certain point, if they were willing to help her, but that didn't change the fact that Ellandra wasn't taking too well to the new living circumstances. "And I just think about... you know, when the twins come... I don't want her to be this way then, too." Plus... she didn't want to be responsible for caring for any babies. Speaking openly about what was worrying her was such a strange feeling. Not really good or bad, just strange. Rolling on her stomach, Lee hid her face from Faolan and spoke into the bed. "I'm worrying too much, huh?"

Faolan rubbed the girl's back gently, making a soft soothing noise. "Aye, lass, you're worryin' a bit much. A lot of Elle's issues are due to hormones. She's more needy now and I'm takin' care of her. She's not feelin' left out at all. When the twins come, we'll deal with that then."
He moved closer to Lee, nuzzling her shoulder. "Get the feelin' you're a bit needy now, too." His voice had become a soft purr. "Feelin' like you need me, love?"

Ah, so he thought so after all. So embarrassing... Faolan always had a way of putting things into perspective, though. She'd never been able to deal with things as they came, and instead had always relied on meticulous planning to solve any problems.
Lee moved her face from the bed so she could breathe again. Looking at Faolan through the corner of her eye, she bit her lip at his question. Sure, she was a bit needy, but... to openly admit it would be impossible. "...Maybe." Hopefully that was clear enough.

"Much as I'm here for Elle," Faolan purred against the girl's hair, lips brushing along her ear, "I'm also very much here for you as well. You're my wife, too, Lee." He moved even closer, leaning over the girl a little to plant a small kiss on the back of her neck. "Now, tell me how you need me."

It felt like her heart was pounding out of her chest. Faolan tended to do that to her, but it only worsened now that they were in a cramped space. She nearly got goosebumps as his lips touched her neck. Thank god most of her face was hidden by a pillow or else he'd see her deep blush. That's right, she was embarrassed by her embarrassment. Tell him...? How was she supposed to do that if the very thought of speaking romantically made her feel like passing out? "I... I need you to..." She couldn't, could she? "Need you to... check to see if Rosco's food bowl is empty..." Okay, she was just being ridiculous now. But she wasn't playing hard to get on purpose, she honestly just didn't have it in her to talk to Faolan that way.

"As you wish," Faolan purred, climbing over the girl gently and easily to get out of the cabinet bed. "Come on out to the front when you're ready and I'll show you a little of the family business."
He gave her an impish grin, something that clearly said he'd enjoyed cuddling and kissing her, before he disappeared through the door to the front room.

"..." She truly was pathetic. There was a sexy man right in front of her, and she went and ruined the moment. If only she weren't so shy when it came to such things... She watched Faolan walk away and bit her lip as she beat herself up in her mind. And that smile, that just made it sting even more. Lee buried her head under a pillow as she attempted to collect herself.
Only a few seconds after he'd disappeared did she climb out of the cabinet and trail after him. He'd mentioned something about the "family business", right? Something similar to her fathers? Because that was a little over her head. Poking her head through the door, she shuffled into the front room.

Faolan looked up when the girl walked in and smiled at her, motioning her over to the table. "Come here, my bonny love." He moved an open ledger over where Lee could see it. "This here be the books for me fortune telling booth. Have a look o'er 'em an' see what you think. I was thinkin' you could start helpin' me da on occasion to earn a little money o' your own."
Lounging back in the chair he was sprawled in. "So, what do you think, darlin'? Think you can handle accounting?"

He'd called her bonny again! Lee blushed a bit and tugged at her -- well, Faolan's loose shirt and sat next to him as she'd been told. Leaning over to take a look at the books, her posture sank at the intimidating amount of numbers. Besides, she'd never had to work for money -- never had to work for anything. It was becoming clear, though, that she would need to be a bit more frugal if she expected to get by while living here. A job, huh? Well, if she had to.
"... What if I mess something up?" Which she was sure to do, considering her limited algebra abilities.

"I'll show you how, my girl," Faolan told her, resting an arm around her shoulders and leaning over to nuzzle her hair. " It's easier'n it looks. Just record in the numbers and then add them up. Write the totals here. Da will show you more if you wanna try workin' for him."

Lee was about to protest when she was a bit caught off guard by Faolan's nuzzling. How could she say no when he was fogging up her brain like that? "O-okay..." Wait, what had she just agreed to? Aw, oh well, it wasn't like she couldn't use the money. And if she ended up making a mistake, she'd just be fired and be done, right?
... Hopefully she'd take working a bit more seriously when the time came.

"Donnae worry, Lee," Faolan said, moving to focus more on the books. He moved the box of money closer to start counting it out. "There's more to the family business than just this, but I ain't sure you're interested."

Lee's eye was caught by the box of money, and suddenly her interest was perked. "You make that much doing what you do?" Heck, she could go on quite the shopping spree with that kind of money. Sure, it wasn't anything like what her father made, but she never actually saw that in cash. "Um... I might be." She liked money. A lot.
