Lucas shrugs "I was just saying" he told her before smiling a bit to himself "that's very true..but I prefer to be grounded thank you...besides my dad might usher me and my siblings into learning how to surf" he answered shaking his head

"Surfing? I could never do that, I'm clumsy." she giggles. "I can just see you now, on the water zooming around, and I would try my hardest not to laugh, if you fall in" She covered her mouth as she laughed, "Has he asked or said anything about surfing yet?"

Lucas looks down and frowns "actually..I haven't seen him since my mom brought us into the world" he said his eyes changing to depression instead of twinkling.

Umi seen the sadness creep in on him and felt terrible "I'm sorry, um, least you know your mom and the rest of your family. If you haven't heard from him, he isn't worth feeling bad, it's his loss" She look determined to make him feel better. "I mean look how great of a son he's missing out on? Don't let him ruin your day or life, he isn't worth it." She put her paw on his paw and squeezed, to show him support."

Lucas looks at her "i know...I'm not going to let him ruin my life..that was the mid-life crisis that my mom was going through...the disappearance of my dad. but she feels better thanks to Ethan and her best friend" he told her smiling ever so slightly

Feels terrible for bringing that up. "your poor mom, I dunno what I would do if my guy dissappeared.....tho I guess I would have to move on... for my kits sake" her paw still on his. "I know how you feel tho, I grew up without a mom or dad, I was all alone until i found my house i live in now. But I don't let that bother me, I just look at how lucky I am to have found this place, and now meeting you" She smiled at him.

Lucas smiles a little bit "yeah..but it impacted my mom a lot..since there was 8 of us and well my dad disappeared and she watched us grow up by herself" he said

Lucas ponders about it before shrugging "I'm pretty sure she tried to, but I sensed she was off" he said "that's why..when i have my own kits I Vow to be there for them no matter what and would never let them grow up without a father" he said standing proud "I could never let that happen to them" he finished

"You would make a great father, one lucky lady is out there for you" She smiled. "I will always be there for my kits, even when they are adults and they think I'm nagging them" She laughs. "I'm gonna be the best, no better then I can imagine...." **sighs** "It kinda makes me lonely thinking about it..." She looks down a bit.
