Aah. Now he understood her hesitation, to a point. He still wasn't sure what had been wrong with her initially, but he left that be. This was probably not the time to bring that back up. It could kill the mood that was developing, which she didn't seem to object to at all.
Al-Hattal made no comment on her admission, but tucked it away as something to keep in mind. "Yes," he agreed, surprised by but enjoying her sudden boldness. "I believe you're right about that."

Limbua rested her head against his shoulder, keeping her ears flat upon her skull. Al-hattal was a stranger whom she just met and she was already this close to him. Perhaps it was his charm. Perhaps it was his kindness. In either case, she was slowly falling for him in a strange way. Knowing he was a roving male, they tend to do one thing and she knew what it was. It was only fair to inform him, correct? She paused for a moment.
"I'm... infertile," she murmured softly. "So you mustn't worry about cubs from me."

She was very forthcoming, wasn't she? It was surprising, but maybe also a little refreshing. Every female was unique, and some more memorable than others. He was beginning to suspect she would be one of them.
"It's not usually something I worry about," he admitted, voice matter-of-fact but soft.

She picked her head up to stare at him squarely. He did not care? Normally, males only cared about the pleasure of mating and that their bloodline was ensured. Yet this male cared naught for the latter. Perhaps it was because he had bedded many females before that he was already assured of that. Perhaps he just roves to be with females. A curious thought. The hybrid eased herself back down, making herself slightly more comfortable.
"That is the first time I've heard that, Al-hattal. Most males would be off put by that fact," she added. "It is a safelock of the goddess Mkodi must have put upon us for being spawned between a lion God and a mortal leopard..." Oh how she felt so relieved that this one did not care, a weight lifted from her shoulders. No longer did she have to worry about him running away because of that fact.

"Really?" The tendencies of 'most males' escaped him somewhat, as he spent little time in their company. To him, cubs were a nuisance, a responsiblity he could do without. Taking care of one had been more than enough for him. "Well, I suppose I'm not most males, then. I wouldn't know the first thing to do with a child."

"That wouldn't be your responsibility," Bu smiled and purred contently where she was. If she was fertile and Al-hattal did rove her, she would happily take care of the cubs. Granted she would be alone and it was with a lion she had just met, knowing that she loved him for that moment and those cubs were the product of it, just made her happy.
"So... what now?" She inquired, adjusting her head to look at him.

"Some would beg to differ," he mumbled with some amusement, taking into account recent experiences. But it was a discussion that could be left alone for now, as there were other matters to being attending to.
"Well," Al-Hattal began, "Some things are better demonstrated than explained..."
