Lars heard the man say something about something sticking out of him. He also seemed to feel a pain in his arm. He pushed himself up with his good arm and looking at his right arm. He noticed a large piece of metal, probably shrapnel from the blast. He seemed to black out, due to the shock.
Art woke up, the knife wound didn't hurt as much, the Med-X he had injected into himself before passing out in effect. His face was wet, how'd it get like that? He seemed to be seeing double, his head ached. He also felt slightly dizzy. "What... What happened?" He asked no one in particular, sitting up and rubbing his head. "Ugh... Am I... Alive?" [Med-X is based on Morphine, by the way.]

 XXXXXXXXXX »»XXXXXXAlexander and MikaylaXXXXXX«« The crease in Alexander's forehead lessened as the Med-X finally took effect. "Oh come on, 'Zander. It's only a little p***k." Mikayla said, slightly exasperated. She was about to say something else but Arthur was stirring. "Ah, I'm not really sure what happened. I just dragged you here after you passed out." She told him.
Alexander studied Arthur curiously. He was covered in cuts and bruises, but it seems like everyone always is nowadays. Alexander merely nodded at Arthur's question. He rolled their last, unopened bottle of water at Arthur with his good arm. Then, leaned back against the stone and pulled at the ends of Mikayla's hair.
Turning around, Mikayla gave Alexander a frown. He let his hand fall. She scooted back to sit next to him and patted his head. He smiled up at her like a little boy. "Do you need anything?" She asked Arthur. "And, I don't know what to do about Lars.."

Arthur felt his side, and pulled back the hand, seeing his finger tips stained red. "Raiders... They were raiders... I think I got them all... Can either of you... Go out and scavenger what the raiders had been carrying, and what the Brahmin had been carrying? I don't think Lars nor I are in any condition to travel." He seemed fairly calm for someone who had almost died recently, and still had been bleeding a fair bit. He began to tend to his wounds by making a makeshift bandage. "I'll probably need something to disinfect my wound, something to disinfect Lars' wound, something to remove the object with, and any left over bandages for between the both of us. Some alcohol, or honey, and some tweezers would work perfectly. I may need some mentats, though, for concentration." He seemed to scoot back against the wall behind him, leaning on it. The small dose of Med-X didn't seem to be enough, but he tried not to let it show. "It should be safe for the time being, I'm fairly sure I killed all the raiders."

XXXXXXXXXX »»XXXXXXAlexander and MikaylaXXXXXX«« Mikayla nodded, standing up. "Can you stay here for a bit, 'Zander? I'll go see what they left." She slipped cautiously out of the rock cluster and back towards the house.
"Be careful." Alexander said as she walked out. As she left, he slumped back against the rock face. A grimace of pain crossing his face. He pulled his legs up, sitting indian style and looked over at Lars and Arthur.
Not really knowing what she was looking for, Mikayla grabbed everything that looked like it could be of value. Leaving the burnt stuff and taking the stuff she recognized. She recognized the Med-X and there were a lot of water bottles. Some torn bandages and next to one of the men was a bag. She grabbed that and started to head back. It was a pretty heavy bag. She slug it over her shoulder and carried the rest of the stuff in her arms. She had searched pretty thoroughly, going over almost all of the wreckage.

"I think I got all the raiders, but one knifed me... Good thing I had a small leftover dose of Med-X. Lars looks out of it. One of them had a missile launcher. The rest had bats, and knives." Art said, his hand covering his wound. He felt the pain, but tried to avoid reacting to it. He'd have to allow those three any medicines they found. This was just a flesh wound, after all. But the stab was fairly deep. "So, where you two from?"

XXXXXXXXXX »»XXXXXXAlexander and MikaylaXXXXXX«« Alexander looked around as Arthur talked, briefly wondering who he was talking to. Was there someone else there? Was he talking to Lars? Then he realized that Arthur was talking to him. Huh. He just smiled and nodded his head when he saw Arthur directing a question towards him. He felt embarrassed about it and wanted Mikayla to come back soon. So she could answer that question, or whatever else he was going to ask.
Putting everything near a bush, Mikayla went around for a quick overview incase she missed anything. Water, Med-X. She imagined they needed a lot of that given the circumstances. She found another water bottle that she'd probably missed and another few doses of Med-X. She wasn't even half way through the second time. Wow, she was getting slow. Feeling something hot on her leg, she looked down. A trail of blood was there, streaming out of one of yesterday's cuts. With a sigh, she tied one of the bandages she'd found around it. Cuts. What a bother.

Art seemed to be in pain. "God... Knives hurt... Don't ever get stabbed. Or shot, that hurts like hell too." He leaned on the wall, unable to do much other then put his hand on the wound and hoped he could get something to ease the pain.

XXXXXXXXXX »»XXXXXXAlexander and MikaylaXXXXXX«« Huh. Maybe Arthur didn't realize that Alexander didn't answer. Usually people were all over him, berrating him for not listening. Well, this sure was an improvement. Except, of course, for the fact that Arthur was in pain. Which was probably the reason he didn't notice the lack of response. Scooting over, Alexander handed Arthur a dose of Med-X and the unopened bottle of water. Maybe that would help.
Alexander began to get nervous. Where was Mikayla? It'd been a while, was she okay? He took a deep breath, she'd be back soon. He just needed to stay calm. Taking a peek at his arm, he wrinkled his nose and looked away. His ears flopped with all the movement.
Making her way back to the bush, Mikayla grabbed everything and headed back to the rock cluster. Walking in she saw Arthur cringing and Alexander worrying. Wow. What will he ever do without me? She asked herself, casting a sympathetic glance at him. "How are we doing?" She asked lightly. "I brought everything that I could. I hope it's enough." She grinned, hoping everyone was okay.

Art injected himself with the Med-X, and sighed. "This wound's kinda deep, but I really need to attend to Lar's shrapnel wound. Did you find some of the things I need? A disinfectant, bandages, and something to wrap with?" He didn't mind Alex's silence, but he probably would've enjoyed a response a bit more. His sight seemed more stable, and his head more focused. He said, "I'll walk you through the procedure, since my blood would infect his wound." He was still holding his side carefully. "You should administer a shot to Lars before this. Then get something to use to remove the object carefully, then cover his wound." He flashed a smile to Alex, as a kind of thanks for the Med-X and water.

XXXXXXXXXX »»XXXXXXAlexander and MikaylaXXXXXX«« Mikayla took a peek at his wound. It was pretty bad. "Uh, well I found a lot of stuff. I'm not exactly sure what all I found." She said, dumping everything on the floor next to Arthur. She saw there were some bandages and water, and Med-X. "Anything you need, take it. We don't normally need anything but water.."
Alexander looked over the supplies that Mikayla had brought. There was a lot. What's in the bag? He wondered. Nothing dangerous, hopefully. He nodded his head as Arthur gave him a smile. Phew. Didn't have to say anything. Rubbing his eyes, he yawned. He was tired.
Mikayla sat down next to Alexander. Hoping that the stuff she would have to do wasn't too gross. She was okay with bandaging wounds, but not cleaning them. Oh well, this is what had to be done. She would just have to concentrate.

Art began to bandage his own wound saying. "All right, I can tell you're not thrilled to do this. I'd be more then willing, but it won't do my wound any favors to get up an walk around or do things. Anyways. Inject him with Med-X is step one. Carefully remove the object is step two. Cleaning it, is also important, but for now we may just need to bandage it and wait til we're in town." He still put his hand on the wound instinctively, but then moved it to grab a water bottle, opening it and taking a few sips. "I used to assist getting injured people to the doctor back at Marrow Lane. Lots of folks got hurt while scavenging the local metro tunnels." He then got back on track. "Okay, when you go to remove the object, use a clean utensil, or cover your hand to remove it. We have nothing to disinfect it with, so just cover the wound."

XXXXXXXXXX »»XXXXXXAlexander and MikaylaXXXXXX«« "Ah, okay. So, Med-X first." Alexander handed Mikayla a dose of Med-X. She carefully injected the Med-X into Lars's arm. Now, taking out the thing? She wrapped her hand in a bandage and tugged on the shrapnel. It came out with a squelching sound. It started to bleed pretty bad, the blood quickly soaked through the bandage she wrapped around it. She put another bandage over the first one, hoping that would help. "Um, did I miss anything?"
Alexander pointedly looked away after he gave Mikayla the Med-X. He wasn't really good with stuff like this. He heard the sucking noise the object made when it came out. Grimacing, he tried to think of something not gross.

"Unless you have disinfectant, or sewing supplies, that's the best we can do for him now. When he wakes up, make sure he drinks some water. It helps with the blood loss." Art said, drinking a bit more of the water, then setting it down. He wiped the top and closed it. "I don't know if I could carry Lars right now, the Brahmin's dead, and I'd hate to force one of you two to help. You two could probably make it to Green lake in a day or two. I think I still have a bit of food and other supplies on me, I could probably make it last until we can get to town." He then noticed the bag. "What'd you put in the bag?" He asked, thinking it probably contained something.

I just brought it because it was on the ground next to one of them." She pushed the bag towards Arthur with her foot.
Alexander peeked out of his closed eyes. Checking to make sure that Mikayla wasn't going to do any more.. surgery type stuff. He looked over at Mikayla and gave her a slight nod, which she acknowledged. It wouldn't be too much of an inconvience, we didn't really have a destination. The look had said.
Mikayla nodded back. "I think we would be willing to stay with you until we arrive at Green Lake. After all, you are at a disadvantage. Being injured and all." She said, hoping that would help.

"I also carry a rifle, and crowbar. I've got good eyesight, and typically a high resistance to pain. Believe me, I've been in worse scrapes then this. I'm sure Lars and I can get there, but the poor old guy lost his ability to work, that Brahmin had all his goods. I don't know if he'll be able to keep a job. I'm more worried about him, to be honest." Art felt better then he had before, and grabbed the bag. He opened it. "Looks like some miscellaneous goods. Caps, water, medicine, a couple ten millimeters, a thirty two, some unidentifiable meat... You guys think we should try this food? There's probably a few other things in here, too, we can sell..."
