Tumai's jade-coloured orbs widened as he heard the voice of another. Slowly, he turned round on the spot to face what had spoken to him, a short, sharp gasp escaping his mouth as his eyes fell upon the magnificent dark grey lion. "My name is Tumai." He replied, with a rather airy tone as he stared in awe at the lion that stood before him. After bowing his head polietly, he tilted his head a little. "What is your name? If you don't mind me asking."

"I'm Ramses, and I don't mind you asking at all." He beams, drawing himself up with no small amount of pride at his thick growth of mane, and at the attention being heaped on him. He's not accustomed to being blatantly admired, and the attention both embarasses and pleases him. "Nice to meet you, Tumai. What brings you out here?" He aproaches until he's within about five yards of the younger lion and sits down, tail curled around his legs.

Smiling, almost a little too excitedly - as this was the first older male he had ever met - he took in a short breath before going on. "I'm searching for the Mistweavers...I want to learn anything and everything I can about them." Pausing for a moment, he continued to look over Ramses. He didn't actually look like a Mistweaver to him, since the tales he had heard in regards to the Mistweaver's appearence were often pale greys and whites. "Do you...know any Mistweavers?"

Ramses curls his whiskers in the feline equivalent of an ear to ear grin. "I hope I do...either that or I've been living with a bunch of people PRETENDING to be Mistweavers...then I'd be sort of insulted...especially because they've been trying to teach me to read and write." He chortles, ducking into a stretch. Although he doesn't speak of himself like a Mistweaver...his 'thumb' toe shares a shape with the paler, almost legendary lions. Long enough to hold an impliment to write with. "Maji adopted me. I've been living here with them since."

"Oh!" A light blush touched Tumai's pale cheeks. "Oh, I'm sorry, please forgive me." Blinking a couple of times, he thought about what he had been told in regards to the Mistweaver's colours. "Perhaps what I have been told about Mistweavers being pale grey, and white and silver, is merely a stereotype." Feeling like he had made some sort of amazing discovery just by meeting Ramses, Tumai tried to contain himself. "Are there others like you? I mean, others that aren't coloured the same way as the Mistweavers in the stories are? Also, who is Maji?"

"Heh! You sound like Maji..." Ramses chuckles. "Maybe you're related..." He nods toward the younger lions soft colors. "There's one lion here, Enki...he's got a mane a bit darker than your fur. And very dark around the eyes...but you're right. Most all of the cave pictures they have are light colors, like You, Maji and Enki. I've only seen one so far with any colors anything like me....Um. Maji is sort of Prince. I think he's technicly the ruler, but he's a bit...strange...for a lion. So sometimes it's hard to tell. He keeps fish, would you beleive? But eating fish all the time gets old, so I come out here to hunt sometimes. Hearing stories about "you can't eat that Zebra! I -know- that Zebra!" That gets...rr. Well I'm sure you can imagine."

"I...I'm flattered." Tumai stuttered, finding it hard to believe that he sounded like this Maji, who was a Mistweaver Prince, although he did sound quite odd. "Could I maybe see these cave paintings sometime?" Perhaps his request was a bit bold, considering he had only just met Ramses, but what better place to learn about the Mistweaver's history than from their cave paintings? "There's no rush of course." He added with a smile. "I'm just so very plased to have met you. I never expected to find a Mistweaver so soon."

"Laini? That name sings in my ears," Kinyamkela said slightly dreamily. A lot of the ethereality she was projecting was a show for this cub trying to find 'mystical Mistweavers', but the normally practical lioness was surprised to hear that name after so long. "Well, then, Tumai! You and I share a special bond, for my own mother's name was that of 'gentle'. If she lives, she lives so far over the mountains..." 'Kela broke off and then turned golden eyes to the cub. "Truth be told, little one, I am but a far cousin of the Mistweavers on this side of the mountains, but I know a few true ones. Maji.. and my beloved Enki." She smiled tenderly at that. "Ramses also has the blood, I am sure of it... but Tumai, there are so few of us now living here. Your legends are created from before hte plagues...."

(( Just to confirm, the continuing RP between Tumai and 'Kela is occuring separately from the RP with Ramses and Tumai...it is occuring AFTER the meeting of Ramses and Tumai. ))
Tumai's eyes widened. "Maybe my own mother is desended from the Mistweavers!" It seemed like too much of a coincedence that his mother not only shared the name of a Mistweaver, but had the colour of a Mistweaver too. However, the logical side of him soon reasoned with his whimsical side, and it was decided that that would simply be too good to be true. And when 'Kela said that they shared a special bond, it made him feel so warm and happy inside. Clearing his throat in an attempt to act more adult than he had been acting so far, he nodded as the familiar names came to mind. "I met Ramses just before entering this Jungle." He blushed lightly. "He said I even sounded like Maji...and he also told me that Enki had unusual colours for a Mistweaver." He smiled widely. "I hope I can meet both of them someday."

"It is a slim possibility, young Tumai... after all, I spent my cubhood across the mountains, knowing I was descended from our ancient ancestors, the Mistweavers." Her golden eyes gleamed kindly for a moment before addressing the other question. "And as for meeting the others, well, if you ever travel further in, you may do... we rest at the very edge of the waterfalls' bounds, where their pools and rivers run out into the savannah. Few Mistweavers come this way... I'm glad you were able to meet Ramses. He learns to write so much better than I, but then his paws are better made for the job."

"How was it? I mean, living in the mountains?" It was pretty much the complete opposite to where he lived, at the very bottom of a huge Crater. "And how did you eventually make your way over the mountains and into the Mistweaver territory?" So many questions, he was so glad that 'Kela was giving him all the answers he desired. With a firm nod, he looked deeper into the Jungle. "I'll certainly continue onwards to meet them." A gentle gulp could be heard faintly in his throat. "Do you think they'll greet me as graciously as you and Ramses have?"

RL keeps chewing me up and spitting me out)) "Maji adopted me out of the rogue lands...so I'm not really sure I qualify as a 'real' Mistweaver..." Ramses turns red in the ears, perhaps unaware of his own particularly Mistweaver traits... "But I don't see why I couldn't show you the paintings, they're above the waterfalls...it's really something else..." He gestures with one paw for Tumai to follow him toward the location in question.

"Thank you so much!" Tumai excitedly bounced a little on the spot and walked up to Ramses to follow him. He could hardly believe all this was happening. Realising that he was acting childish, he coughed and stopped bouncing, giving a sheepish grin in Ramses' direction before continuing onwards.

Ramses almost laughed, trying to remember if he'd ever been that enthused. He thinks he was...well a lot more angry at that age, still lashing out in frustration at his mad mother, and her absense. He still found himself looking for her, time and again, though it was never her he found. "You'd think someone just gave you directions to a land where there was always fresh prey and clean water." He jokes, following after the younger lion, making a show to check that Tumai's feet are still touching the ground. "Are you walking or flying?"
