Almost there - Prabhat sputtered as he got splashed in the face after the keshi had gotten thrown in the water. What. Was. That?

It wasn't the first time he'd seen a small creature following a kirin about, he remembered. Hadn't there been some two leggged running thing with the mare he'd encountered during his first adventure? Yes, there had been, he remembered now. How strange it was to encounter small creatures that followed kirin around so loyally! Or not so loyally, as the case may be. He tried to hide a grin as he recalled the ball of mud the creature had slung at Ariana.

"Pleased to meet you, Catkin," Prabhat said at his most courteous, and trotted up onto the bank. Dry ground! What a relief.

Catkin, peered distastefully back towards Prabhat before vanished amongst the reeds and more dry land. Seemed that the Keshi didn't like being out here and was going to make them both know it more then just once. Ariana, smiled at Catkin as she vanished before looking back to Prabhat.

"She's not exactly the friendliest, I think a snapping turtle would be friendlier then her." She shrugged moving over to shake off head the stallion, still playful as ever. "My home of just through those reeds, where Catkin vanished. But I live here, in these salt flats."

Spinning around a little she raised onto her hind hooves for a moment before falling back to all fours. Tail flicking behind her, green eyes looking over the salt flats as if to see if there was anything new, there wasn't. Turning back to her little swamp toad, Ariana couldn't help, but feel that there was something else there between them, but she couldn't think what it was exactly. But it was there, something deep within herself, telling her to not let him go.

"So what is your home like? Anything like this one?" she gestured out over the view, unsure if she had asked him about it before or not, too much was swarming about her head to think straight.

Prabhat chucked quietly as the mysterious creature disappeared. So it didn't like him! He wasn't offended though; he was rather pleased to encounter such a small creature that was so intent on making its views clear.

"Snapping turtle -?" Prabhat asked. What was a turtle? And a snapping one? What a strange place this was! "It's a nice place," Prabhat said cheerfully. "Especially for when your companion is so intent on dirtying you," he teased, "and you're in need of a quick swim."

"Home," he said sadly. "I don't know if I have a proper home. "We're always on the move, although recently... well, last I heard my family was heading north. They're wanderers, you know, all of them. My family and the other families they live with. I'm not. Or perhaps I am, I think I might have a bit of the same itch, but I can't bear to stay in such a large herd. It's hard to meet new kirin." He stopped, suddenly unsure and embarrassed. New kirin. Like Ariana. Well, he'd succeeded in one of his goals then. And Ariana... Ariana was nice. Maybe more than nice.

Ariana gave a bit of a laugh at the mention of Catkin, the small critter did have a tendency to want to fling mud at her, but when it came time to sleep, the Keshi was there combing her mane and tail out. Shaking her head a little, she watched Prabhat whom was still just as wet from the salty water as she was. "Eh, she has her phases, she's nasty right now, but come night time she's as cuddly as a cuddle bug." The dark colored mare shrugged a little wandering a bit towards the tall grass.

"Hm? Oh, small critters that live in the water in some places. I've had the bad habit of stepping on one and almost losing a hoof." She pouted a little looking down at her now muddy hooves. "But they are only live far away from here I think..." She didn't rightly know, "I do love my marsh, I don't know if I could ever leave it. But I suppose I could, if I really needed to."

She listened to him speak of his family being wanderers. Moving from place to place? She didn't think she could ever do something like that, she wasn't very used to too much traveling. Shaking her head a little, her mane clinging to her neck as Catkin had returned with something in her mouth. Clambering up Ariana's tail, she made it to the Kirin's back and started combing out the wet strands. Glancing back a moment, before looking to Prabhat whom seemed to have stopped talking.

"Sounds like me, don't fit into the large family life. Better off alone, or with the one other you feel more comfortable with." That did kinda sound like her, not that she had always been in a herd, when she comes close to one she kinda feels... Closed in and can't breath, and he only way to ease the tension in her chest was to flee. "I've never had much of a herd life really, you are lucky to have someone you can go back to, I just have a disgruntled mare." Shakes her head a little making Catkin chatter irritably. "We've only really stayed here, away from the closed spaces of a herd life, also hard to meet others. Seeings not many come to the salt marshes, until now." She smiled at the male whom was blushing, stepping forwards she nuzzled against his cheek, hoping possibly it would help?

"Take a hoof -?" Prabhat stopped and stared at the ground, but seeing Ariana continue, he pressed on as well. Somehow he didn't want to appear weak in front of this mare. And they were probably somewhere else in the marsh. Probably.

He listened to her talk about living alone, and found himself blushing at the mention of "one other you feel more comfortable with." Blushing? Why was he blushing, why did he feel so strange. Everything felt so mixed up inside, and why did he feel a stab of jealousy at the mention of a disgruntled mare? It was probably just her mother... or a friend. Why be jealous? He didn't understand, and having her nuzzle him only served to confuse him more. How was he supposed to interpret that? Did she mean it as a friend, or as... as... he froze, unsure what to do. "Ariana?" he asked, uncertain.

His stomach did flips and he felt weak and cold and was all too aware of the salt water dripping from his hair but all he wanted to do was to stand there and let her nuzzle him, maybe even nuzzle her back.

I think I might like her, he admitted to himself.
