At hearing the time of the party, Christiana balked suddenly. 10 was when she did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen, 10:30 was when she turned off all the lights except her bedside one. 10:35 is when she started brushing her teeth and generally prepared for bed. This was her schedule and it had been her schedule for as long as she could stay up that late. A moment of indecision invaded her head. She wanted to go, she did, a chance to escape and wasn't that the reason why she was even in Japan? But routines were things you did not mess with.
"Ten?" She said uncertainly, she looked down at her hands and finally made a decision. "Do I need to wear anything else?" To hell with tonight's routine, there was always tomorrow.
"Rhia? You would not mind? I have never known some one to shorten my name, but the experience would not be unwelcome." A small smile graced Christiana's face. She didn't want to seem like she was unfriendly or anything after all!
Christiana was shocked. A woman who could not cook? That was unforgivable in her family, even the men could cook in her family. "No cooking? Mio dio! How have you survived? But a restaurant? Are their many restaurants in need of a Italian cook?" She questioned, still trying to wrap her mind around some one who couldn't cook. Everyone she knew could cook at least one three course meal.
"The ramen shop sounds perfect, I have never had ramen before. I look forward to it!"

Observant as she usually was, Rhiannon missed the uncertainty in the other's voice as she confirmed the time for tonight's party. The girl was looking forward to partying tonight - she hadn't been to one of the open-air parties in a while, and people always seemed to be a lot more.. uninhibited.
"Yes, ten tonight. And noon on Sunday, meeting here. We'll head to the ramen place together, since you don't know your way around yet."
Looking the other girl over, Rhia smiled and patted her arm in reassurance. "What you're wearing now is fine. This isn't a picky venue, as you can obviously see," Rhia waved her arm to indicate their surroundings as emphasis. "You can wear something more.. flashy, if you'd like, but it's not necessary at all." Mentally, she made a note to try and tone down her usual showy party wear to try and make the other girl more comfortable.
"Of course you can call me Rhia, Rhiannon is so.. classy, and elegant. I'm not always like that at all! Well," she continued, dismissing the issue, "We'll stick with Christiana for now, and maybe when you feel like you know me better, I can call you Christy!"
Christiana's reaction to her professed lack of cooking skills amused her a little, but also gave her an insight into how the other girl must have lived when she was still back home. The confusion that Rhia could read plainly on the other's face caused her to respond a little more sharply than intended, "It's not such a big deal, not cooking. There have always been others to cook, and I eat out a lot. But yes, definitely a restaurant job if you can do it. They seem to always be hiring somewhere. Some of my friends work part-time as waitresses, perhaps they'd know if there was a restaurant looking for someone."
