Never played any visual novels.
I've only seen all of the original Higurashi anime, never finished Kai, and didn't even try to watch the others (What, there's like, Rei, and uh...I dunno, guess that's it xD)
Watched the first 2 of Umineko (SEACATS FTW) so far, and I really like it.
Although everytime Maria talks, all I think about is Minori from Toradora...xDD Cuz that's who her VA is. xP

Started actually bothering to read the novel again.
Crazy Maria is love btw. Normal Maria is child abuse worthy, but Psycho Maria gets hugs and love.

I-- I'm done with the novel.
Cried a bit in EP3 and 4. Became a major Beato fangirl. Shannon and George can be awesome when they decide to. Beato's demon friends are EPIC WIN. <333
And that's all I can say as to not spoil anything.
ANYWAY, episode 5 WILL HAVE BEATRICE IN IT. biggrin

Voice isn't exactly what I had imagined. A bit of a lower pitch than what I'd originally pictured.

Voice isn't exactly what I had imagined. A bit of a lower pitch than what I'd originally pictured.
It's a weird feeling to actually recognise those voices as Battler and Beatrice.
He certainly sounds different playing Battler than when he plays Koizumi. It's similar to how he sounded when he played Akira in Monochrome Factor.
Her voice is definitely deeper than I expected as well. But she sounds exactly like Yuko. |3 I wanna hear Beatrice say Hitsuzen for lulz.

The voice actress for Beato is the same as Yuuko, actually. But she still managed to sound really different when playing Rika's mother, so I am expecting as much changes from her as the changes in Beatrice's attitude throught the novel.
So yes, I think it will sound great. biggrin

...new episode today! 8D Raws are out already, but the person who posted the link asked us not to post it in other forums (something I didn't understand about a private link and bandwidth or something).
So the subs will most likely be available by tomorrow morning (depends on where you are. I normally watch it at 3pm GMT [9am my time which is GMT-6]). I'm waiting for the RAW to load, but I won't understand anything beyond what I can figure out because I remember it from the novel.
Also, cover for EP5 has been published!~
And name is supposed to be "End of the Golden Witch" which seriously bothers me for some reason.

Red text is the meta-scenes flashing red and white text flying around while Beato says it. Not really fond of it.
They also took out Lambdadelta's "SUPER PAPER".
They took out pretty much the whole Ura Tea Party from EP2. D:QFE.
Also, EP3 manga first chapter is out! <3

You're like the first person I've seen who says "I love the anime." At least on the forums I'm in (MCAnime [Spanish] and Animesuki), people are usually bitching about "Higurashi is way better blah blah blah" and "it doesn't live up to the SN (which I agree with)".
lolol, if I arrive early from school on Wednesdays, I watch the live streams, then the raw two hours later, then the subs as soon as I get back from school on Thursay. biggrin
Then I show the episodes on Sundays to my sister, which means I pretty much don't miss details. xD
Also, Sin needs to read the sound novel. >>

But I dono, I think I love it more then Higurashi, the animation is more fluid, the characters tend to be a little more dynamic, the plot is much faster moving but still not like "OH GOD THIS IS MOVING TO FAST I HATE IT" kind of fast, the kills are beutifule and I dono, i just overall like it more ^.^
