Golden-Spider cocks his head, thinking. "Sometimes I hear whispers, or think I do. Usually I only hear them in the deepest parts of the swamp, or at night. I can't make out words, just a voice. They started about the same time that I felt this need to move! move! move! I've been searching ever since, though I dunno what for." He stomps his hoof on each "move", and when he's done talking, Golden-Spider trotts off a few yards. Then he turns and comes back, seeming to be more agitated then before. "Sorry, I need to go, to keep moving. I have to find IT!" He doesn't wish to be rude to these two, but the need to move, to go now, gets stronger with each minute he's still here.

"Voices?" Mourning Fog was very confused now. Should he be hearing those too? Everyone else seemed to hear them..."Might I accompany you?" he said to the gold buck. "I do get rather lonely, even with dear Sunwing's company."

At the sound of her name, Sunwing honked and flying up, she -somehow- managed to perch herself on Mourning Fog's head. It was comfortable for her, but Mourning Fog, although quite amused, lowered his head from the weight.

She watched Golden-spider tweak out more and more as he continued to speak, voicing what had probably been on his mind for a while now. Then he ran, and ran back. How odd... He's so twitchy...

When Mourning Fog asked to come with, she was immediately at attention, ears perked up and ready to run with. There was no way they were going to leave her behind! These two were much more interesting than the fluffball that crossed her path earlier. Perhaps she would even get to see more animals along the way. More bodies and shapes to decipher and study.

A giggle escaped her when Sunwing landed on the pale buck's head. Still watching the bird, she offered, "Golden-spider... I can hear the whispers. They speak to me. They tell me things. I think they want you to go where you hear them. Maybe you'll be able to hear what they tell you when you get them to speak up..."

He nods to both of them. "You can both come, if you want." He focuses on Last Whisper, mulling over the young filly's words. "What do they say?" It never occured to him the voices might get clearer if he got to where he needed to be. Maybe they won't.. What if they're trying to tell me where to look, and I'm just not listening? This thought shocks him into stillness. "Could it really be that close? Just shut out everything else and listen to the whispers to find what I'm looking for?" Golden-Spider is so wrapped up in this thought he doesn't realize two things. First that he's totally still, with no twitchy feeling under his skin. And second, that he spoke that last out loud.

A wide smile takes over her features when he says she can come. Not like she would have stayed behind anyway! If they had told her no, she had been planning on following a ways back. He asked of her whispers, and then took to thinking, and spoke once more.

She nodded and said, "Mhmmm... I think so! Why else would they talk to you? Mourning Fog, do you hear them speaking?" She looked over at him and sidled a little closer. Turning her head back towards Golden-spider, she continued, "They... tell me of places I have never been before... they describe wonderful glades... sometimes they speak of gatherings of.... kimeti? I can't always hear them clearly. Sometimes they just murmur. Other times they tell me of things. Like nice pearly white bones lying just out of reach, taunting me, telling me I'll never get them!" By now, her words had turned into a bit of a rant and anger had leaked into them. It was obvious that it upset her that she couldn't reach those bones. They reminded her of her naming dream. She felt like she needed to have them and denial of them made her angry.

At the mention of bones, Golden-Spider is reminded of another Kimeti. One he spent a fair ammount of his youth with, Fish Bones. He had a love of bones too, and a feeling of sentimentality, and missing his friend, drove him to speak. "Is it possible a grown Kimeti could reach them? I'd be willing to help you if I can." That being said, Golden-Spider ponders the rest of her words. So the voices help her find places.. Maybe they can lead me to where, or what, I'm looking for. This thought dispells the calm that had come over him, and as it fades from his mind, Golden-Spider finds himself driven again with a need to move. However, he simply resumes his erratic circling, waiting on the others before just running off.

Mourning Fog raised an eye at the filly. She was certainly different from any other filly he had ever met. "I don't believe I can say I have ever heard any voices. Other than the ones from a Kimeti I happened to be speaking to..." He tilted his head, but feeling Sunwing slip and flap her wings for balance, he straightened his head again.

The filly seemed to talk in riddles, but it did intrigue the pink buck. What a mystery this seemed to be and he wanted to be there to help solve it. Looking to Golden-Spider, he saw him...stop? Only a moment later, he continued to pace again. It felt contagious, and Mourning Fog almost started pacing with him.

He said he would help her! Her spirit was lifted and her anger dispelled instantly. She smiled up at him, truly happy that there was someone she could try for the bones with. And then he started to pace once more. She thought that his current situation was more dire than hers, and said, "We can go look for my bones another day, but I think you need to find your voices today. They're playing with your mind, and you get twitchy because of them. Where do they speak to you, loudest? We should go there."

She made a note to herself, that she would seek out Golden-spider another day, and get him to help her find the set of bones that the voices taunted her with. But now, she and Mourning Fog would help Golden-spider to find what he was looking for.

Golden-Spider smiles, and stops pacing, but only for a moment then he starts up again. "A few nights ago - at least I think it was a few nights.. maybe a few weeks?" He stops, looking confused, and it's clear time has blended into one fluid motion for him. Shaking his head, and snorting, Golden-Spider continues. "I was in an area so dense with the mangroves it was near impossible to move. There the whispers were loud enough I could almost make out words. I know I heard 'GO!' But after that they jumbled together and grew fainter." With another snort, and an irritated flick of his tail, Golden-Spider walks off, only to turn and come back. "I do remember, more or less, how to get back to the spot." He heads off into the underbrush, this time, though, he doesn't turn back. He just keeps on, at a slower pace, and leaves the other two there to stay or go as they please.

The buck is obviously confused, and shakes his head to clear it. She tilts her head and listens carefully to what he says, not interrupting. He walks away, returns, speaks once more and then leaves.

She was so caught up in concentration that for a second she didn't realize that he wasn't coming back like the last hundred times he had today. With a start, she jumps forwards, trying to make up a little distance before taking up a trot to make up for the larger male's long strides. She looks over her shoulder and says, "Come on, Mourning Fog! Can't go without you! You too, bird-who-I-can't-touch!"

"Oh!" Mourning Fog said then followed with, "Oh dear, more running.." and trotted at a slightly rushed pace to catch up with the two kimeti. Even the filly was faster than him.

He wondered what they would find. Would he start to hear voices too? Why did Mother Swamp communicate her changes to them in whispers and not him? Maybe she spoke to him in other ways. Or maybe he just can't hear yet.

Sunwing honked in a manner that sounded like laughing. Mourning Fog couldn't tell if it was at the filly or him. Most likely both.

In front of them, Golden-Spider smiles. It'll be good to have company. He finds this at odds with his normal self. Usually, if he wants company, Golden-Spider will seek out no one but his closest friend. Other then that, he usually tries to avoid more then passing contact with others. "Glad you two decided to tag along." He turns his head, looking back and grinning at the two, before continuing on. It feels weird to want the company of strangers, but oddly calming, too.

Mourning Fog also had to catch up, while the swan seemed to laugh at them. She threw her head over her shoulder and snorted at the bird, with perhaps a bit of a glare.

The filly had an easy time keeping up her trot. Golden-spider wasn't running, just walking so it wasn't so bad. This was going to be fun! She wondered about the place they were going and whether her voices would get louder, too.
