With hands that boasted a sense of sureness about the thing, he gently took it back and set it aside as though it were no more harmless than a feather. "I am glad to show it to you." His voice projected his genuine sincerity, hinting that he did not often get such an opportunity. The reward for her kindness in putting up with it came in a query, "What things do you like to do, Miss Lukia?"

She frowned, thinking about it. "I like... to wear pretty dresses, to read, and to spend time with my friend." This list was notable for two things: the fact that her dress was indeed very pretty, despite being rather travel-worn, and the way she used the singular to qualify her friend. "And to wander," added Lukia, but it seemed very halfhearted. After all, she didn't move around so often because she wanted to, but because she was more restless than she could bear. But it was a logical answer, and she was quite the fan of logic.
Rubbing one wrist, she said, "Would you happen to know the direction to northern thirty-first street?"

While he didn't know much at all about literature or that special person, he DID know a great deal about fashion. A smile radiated over his features at the thought and with a flick of his tail in excitement it was decided. "I will find a pretty dress for you, yes? If you come this way again I will be here and I will find a pretty dress." He leaned in a bit to look her over once, getting a feel for her measurements by sight so he could find something that was wearable. That could take time though, so he reasoned it would be alright to throw it into the next time she came this way, whenever that might be.
Her query averted his attentions from that detail and to the next. Nodding in response, he gently took her hand and pointed it in the right direction. "That is the way you must go to find this street. If you touch the buildings, you will know it by the touch of the pebble building. It is different from many other buildings, so you will find it, I know."

If she hadn't already been somewhat red from the offer - no one had ever offered that sort of thing before - she would have been noticeably embarrassed by Farid touching her. As it was, the remarkable shade of red only deepened. Lukia did not do very well with physical contact at all, and this particular person's manner set her to feeling... well, rather off-guard. A twitch of a disbelieving smile creased her face for a moment, but it was erased before Farid could see it.
"Yes, thank you," she said, removing her hand from his grip; the blush appeared to have spread to her collarbones as well. "I- I suppose I'll see you, Farid."

With a broadened smile and a flourished bow, he moved to let her pass. "I will see you again someday soon, I am hoping, Mis Lukia. Until then, may your travels take you far and the fates keep you safe. Just remember to come back, yes?" Somehow, he knew they would meet again, though he didn't exactly understand the feeling. It was a pleasant emotion though, so he didn't bother questioning it. Rather, he simply took up one more firework and set it off in a brilliant display of gradient blues and violet, fading to red as the rose before fading away into a whispering crackle of flame.
