"Tender Toes?" Moss repeated, "Haha, names are fun! I'm called Moss! Like that stuff that grows trees!" Grinning he nodded his head, thinking that it might be fun to explore around with someone else for once. He idly padded at the ground with his front feet, his green feathers frilling up as he watched the egg rock back and forth. "What's that?" he asked, lightly nosing at it, "Is there someone in there?"

"Oh, yus." Tender Toes told moss. "It's just that egg I found." The Adahy prodded the egg out from under the bushes with her nose. She sniffed at the ground looking for treasure and started to leap from tree trunk to tree trunk, scratching and licking at the lichen that grew on the bark.
"Lets see what we can find." She snapped at a couple acorns resting on the ground, and stored them in her cheek while she sprung around the woods. Tender Toes loved Acorns. She thought they brought good luck.

Rustling and murmured voices carried through the forest. River Dance realized that she was not alone in feeling that something was amiss. Stepping out between moss covered trees, she saw a couple of youngsters playing. She recognized the pale brown one as Moss, but the other she didn't recall seeing before.

Barkscar's ears perked to the many sounds of the area. It sounded as though there was a group gathering a head of him. What would prompt a gathering though? Was it just one of chance or for a reason? Sitting around pondering these things would not give him an answer so he had no choice but to investigate. With cation his one good eye scanned the footing a head. His left eye was pale and useless, scars leading through it left no question to how it had happened. Barkscar's dark gray skin allowed him to blend with the shadows that the trees gifted to him. The specks of light that fought through the trees illuminated his other markings. Black streaks gave the appearance of tree bark, his feathers were black but looked as though to be set on fire just at the edges. More scars seemed to be on his leg and hind quarters. He moved slowly forwards till his good eye caught sight of the group. His cation seemed to be a waste of time now. The group was mostly young ones playing, that made him smile he had spent such time alone that seeing them interact was comforting. Barkscar pushed his way through the brush to make his appearance, but he didn't say anything just yet. He would wait to see if they even wanted him here first.

Barkscar's ears perked and inched forwards towards the egg. "Well what do ya know!" Barkscar cooed lightly at the hatching. It had been so long since he had seen such a beautiful sight. "Welcome to the world little one!"

Barkscar raised a brow before stepping closer to the little one.
"Now be careful don't cha swallow that acorn little one."

Cracking sounds came to River Dance's large ears. That can't be good, she thought. What would an egg be doing hatching out here. How did it get so far from the Breeding Thicket, she wondered.

The newly hatched golden Adahy seemed to be doing okay on her own, though, as she met up with another Adahy that seemed to be looking out for her.

Whatever was amiss seemed to have brought others out to the woods as well. Rover Dance noticed a black male with purple stripes and purple feathers. He certainly was pleasing to the eye, she thought.

(Barkscar is such a cool name) xD

Tender Toes jumped when Au hatched. She turned around and covered herself in the thicket. Then River Dance and Mudpaw emerged and she became embaressed and stood again next to the youngling. They didn't seem thrown off when they saw Moss, so she assumed her own appearance would be accepted.
The Di'taki (Tender Toes is a Di'taki now, lolz, since she actually exists now) (yaay!) stepped back into the clearing, leapt on the sacred acorn after Au spit it out, (sacred to her, at least), and then trotted over to Barkscar. He kind of looked like she did, after all.
"It's not my youngling", Tender Toes said loudly, but kept her head submissively low. The smooth acorn between her toes would give her good luck in this situation of possibly, hopefully, making new friends.
Tender Toes gulped and looked out at the growing group of creatures that was now present in the clearing.

***Note from Pan--I may recommended Tender Toes get her booty out of the area xD Adahy and Di'Taki don't interact with each other. Secret 'love' meetings are fine as long as they ARE secret. but she's likly to get herself pretty beat up/killed if she sticks around on the other side of her boarder. OR you can change the name of this one and keep her Adahy.
