Sil waded out of the water once more to look forlornly at the mud bank, she really didn't wish to try and scramble up it again - but neither did she want to try and swim upstream. Judging by..Fantasia? and his progress it would be difficult at best...impossible as worst.
Hunkering down Sil shivered slightly, being soaked was not helping any thats for sure and turning back to the male she sighed.
"That doesn't look like it's going to work..and I'm Silhouette..though everyone just calls me Sil."

"Funny . . . name," he managed between grunts, at length stopping his paddling and letting himself float back towards the bank. He gave the pup a quizzical look. "You're a whole wolf like anyone else. I don't see why your name has to be barely half of one: like the silhouette of something rather than the thing itself." Fantasia tested the air beyond the water, shivered, and went back to deluge himself once more. "Yeah . . . I think I'm staying in the water for now. Maybe if I let myself go, it'll bring me to a bank not far from here to try . . ." He began to wade back into the deeper water.

Sil shrugged slightly she wasn't sure why people had elected to call her Sil or even Silhouette for that matter - Fantasia however didn't seem to any such problems - indeed it sounded like he was fairly well composed for a pup - even if she hated to admit it.
Watching him walk back into the water Sil shivered for a few moments before she got the jist of what he ment, sitting bolt upright.
"Wait! you can't just leave me here!"
Yeah okay so she wasn't just out playing in the water - she was lost.

Her yelp made him pause, fighting the current as those dark bronze eyes gazed at her questioningly. "You were there before I got here," he pointed out, "and leaving you wouldn't make too much of a difference, unless there's a problem. Lost or just afraid to be alone?" A strange temper that one had, one moment telling him off, the next almost clinging. Fantasia growled a sigh; couldn't girls make up their mind? "You said you have a family, right? In a pack? Where?"

"I...I don't really know.."
Sil hesitantly told him - sur she'd been telling herself all morning that she could easily find her way home when she wanted. But she realized now that had just been empty hope. Of course seeing his sigh and bristling at the inclination he thought her some sort of scardy cat Sil fluffed her fur.
"But never mind..i'm sure I can find my way home...I'll just...follow my scent back...or something. Its the Akiiki Chibale Pack...it can't be that far away"
She stated gazing back at the mud wall, screwing up her face as she tried to remember just how long she'd taken to get here.

Akii - what? Names these days. "Well I doubt you'll get far trying the mud wall," Fantasia remarked, watching her eye the messy brown gunk. "Just wash down river if it's the right way, get on land as soon as you can, and try to find your scent back." But even that plan had its faults and holes. The pup sighed as he treaded water. "I guess I could come with you and make sure you get home safely." Least it wouldn't weigh too heavily on his conscience if he tried.

Sil snapped at him, gosh what was wrong with her today? normally she wasn't nearly so cranky - but then this was hardly a normal situation for her Sil wasn't used being so far out of her depth - the problem with being raised in a large family surrounding where there were always alot of wolves around to do things for you and look out for you. Slipping away this morning migh not have been the wisest choice of her young life.
"well you don't have to make it sound so terrible and your certainly not bound to do it by some sort of loyalty or friendship or whatever"
She retorted and began to stalk off down the river bank, snarling as she slipped on a couple of the rocks.

"Fine then." He wasn't about to go and follow a girl with such a mercurial temper, semi-guilt at the back of his conscience or not. Fantasia snorted and stopped fighting the current, allowing himself to be dragged away slowly as he pivoted back to face forward with the water's direction. If she got even more lost, it was on her head; and if Sil found her pack, great for her. Fantasia didn't want to deal with someone, much less a girl, at the moment, when his hunger was more important. |~| If Sil doesn't follow him, then this is the end post for me. <3 |~|
