Miss_Chicken_Royale A_n_n_a ♔ Hi~! I'm Anya (despite the user name, I prefer to be called 'Anya'). I'm 50% Irish, my Da is from Co. Sligo. However, I live in america at the moment - but I'm planning to go to Sligo. I know quite a bit about Ireland, and I'm so consumed by Ireland - when applying racial slurs to people (yellow, white, black, skin colors) my american school-mates call me "green." *mutters grudgingly* I also play an active part in my american - Irish Community here where I live. I've been / and being, brought up in an Irish household by my Da and his friends. Even when my mum isn't Irish. (She's Asian.) Anyway, I've always wanted to speak Irish since I was a little girl. Thank you so much for making this guild!!!
Does your da not speak irish? Ya should get him to get ya a few books or something sent over.... id give ya my primary school books haha but ya should never give ur adress to strangers lol. ♔ Nae, my Da doesn't speak Irish. ;.; But he really wants to learn. So, I guess I'm here learning for the both of us. xD And, yeah - I probably wouldn't send over an address, thanks anyway though. ^^ But. . . what would be really nice, now that you mention school books, do you think you could list the author and title of some of your preliminary books? My Da already offered to call a friend and get some books sent to us, but we don't know what to ask for. I know there are quite a few. I've tried buying books at american stores here, but they aren't any good at all. I am really interested in school books.

So, sadly, 'Muzzy' will not work for me.
But. . . OMG~! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS FOR ME!! I hope it's not too much trouble for you. O.O Thank you so much~!!!!!!!!!!

That's why I'm here. ^^ (and to learn) But- you are right. But, I just want to get some basics down so I have an idea of what they would say and what I write/say back. Plus, I'm a novelist myself - and learning from books come all too easy. Just have to find the right book. . . (I bought Scottish on accident and stopped looking around. Plus - I really am interested in Irish School Books [imported].)

Maidin mhaith agat! (Good morning)
Josh is ainm dom. (My name is Josh) Tá mé mo chónai i Stáit Aontaithe Meiriceá. (I live in the US.) Tuigim Gaeilge shimpli ,agus tá sé go crua. (I understand simple Irish, and it's hard.) lol
My Irish is usualy rough, like I said, I know simple Irish, most of my sentence structure is off. Most of my Irish comes from my grandfather, but seeing as he is gone, I am a bit behind on it.
I like my heritage obviously, and I have plans of living in Ireland when I get the cash and things. I could become citizen easy enough if I could find my grand parents birth certificates and or my fathers if he stayed around, but I'm determined to do it in anyway possible. My other likes besides all this, is art, music, tennis, football, as in soccer, rollerblading, snowboarding, Gaelic, the sport, lol. Learning languages obviously, and being happy. (Anything else, just ask.)
That's a bit on me, anyway... Tóg bog é! (Take it easy!)

(Take it easy!) you don't want to come to Ireland, the weather here is piss, everything is expensive and we have a minister for health who spends 5000 on haircuts even though she looks like a minger and sh'es also fat which is a bit of a hypocritical thing for a heath minister...... we have to learn irish which is (i must say) a dead and useless language, plz don't remind me of heritage which i am fully aware of and if u also do you'll see that we we're made to speak english, and will speak english. I want to leave ireland and u want to come here.....funny...now tell me what it's like in america

Well America... Prices are rising on everything, it's full of wanabie gangsters it seems. If you don't want the wet wheather and the three sesions, I would tell you to move to either the State Washington, or Oregan. Very nice and green. Also, you are close to Canada, which isn't bad a place. It's way better than living near Mexico, if you go South, you will see alot of Mexicans, you know alot aren't legal, which I think many of them across the US arn't. Spanish is expected for them even though they came here... Anyway, if you like a certain wheather, just tell me and I will tell you some regions(States). There's alot of fat people, the rumors are no joke. Alot of people just don't care for there health. That makes alot of unatractive and unhealthy groups. Everywhere you are going to find people who are going to do something with money they shouldn't. That's here too. The schooling system isn't much of anything, it's easy and all foreigners I know are way ahead in knowledge. If you have a strong accent, you may run into alot of ignorance, people give me hell or just want me to constantly talk just cause I sound diffrent... (All the stereotype about the US isn't false, it just depends on the person.)
To put it plainly, it's not the place it used to be, "The land of the free and Oppurtunities." That's been killed.
I like the wet weather of Ireland, it keeps up it's image, and I can stand in rain forever! Until I get sick and die! lol... Anyway, I will switch you spots if you'd like.

I am from America and I am 1/2 Irish and 1/2 Italian. I just went to Ireland recently for a choir trip and it was such an amazing experience. I had to quote this because Muzzy is also used to teach little kids how to speak French. I get to watch it in my french class at school. I absolutely love languges. I just finish my 3rd year of taking both French and Spanish at the same time and I am attempting to teach myself Gaeilge. Ya my friends all think i am crazy so it won't hurt me if you say so as well.
