Cherie shook her head. "There is no way to know that unless we find out." she said with a shrug as she stood to her paws. She began slowly wandering back the way they had came. But what would she be able to find by visiting the only place she remembered? Guess the only way to find out was to get there...or somewhere. "You know..." she began. "You don't have to come with me...." she stated. "But I would enjoy your company." Her stomach groaned and she paused in mid step. "Though I don't suppose we have to do this now..." she laughed, slightly embarrassed.

Grumbling, Jalil turned his head, shaking it to and fro, "I'd rather not." He said bluntly, "Not today anyway. There has been too much happening and frankly I'm rather tired." Sighing, he plopped slightly on the ground, his tail flicking back and forth rapidly. "I suppose the heat has been getting to me a little bit, even if it is cool up here..."

Cherie turned back just as he plopped on the ground. She wanted to find out everything there was to know, but she was tired herself. Glancing around she spotted an old dead tree. Nimbly climbing her way up to a thick branch, she spread herself out across it delicately. "Now that you mention it, a rest would be nice...." she said softly, crossing her paws under her chin.

Giving out a small sigh, Jalil watched her start to climb up the branch and he shook his head a little. "You know... it might be warmer if..." His voice trailed off as he couldn't believe he was saying this, "if... we stick together and huddle." His body shuddered as a wind blew passed his body.

Cherie opened her eyes and looked at him for a few moments. She wasn't believing he had said what he did either. After glancing at her paws, down to the ground, then back up at him she nimbly slid off the branch. Padding over, she curled up right next to him, folding a wing over his back.

Letting her snug up next to him, the brush of her fur against his caused his body to shiver slightly. He wasn't entirely sure what to think of it but a certain part of him had been wondering what it might feel like. Draping one paw over her, he let his chin rest up against her while slowly closing his eyes. "..Goodnight Cherie.."

Cherie would have loved to have purred at that moment except for the fact that she couldn't. Shutting her eyes, she let him drape a paw over her as she snuggled her head against his arm. "Night Jalil." she said as a grin slowly faded from her muzzle as she drifted off to sleep.

Giving a light smile, he let the expression quickly drop from his face while laying against her. The warmth of her body reminded him just how completely alone he had been for so long... Sighing, a vague "Goodnight Cherie." came from his throat before he too shut his eyes and let the cold of the night sink deeply into his fur.
