“oh perhaps I like giving the wrong idea to a male.” The Somali watched the male with bemusement and purred softly as he followed the curves of her body. It was his eyes that startled her, they had so much emotion in them, but none of it was readable to her, save for the heat, there was a definite heat in the way he looked at her.

When the other rested his hands finally on her hips she was panting slightly as well, but grinning like mad.
“Yeah, guess you aren’t that much of a dancer, thank you so much for proving me wrong.” She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed closer to him, purring in his ear. Using only one claw she scratched up his back and only pulled away enough to see his expression. Oh yes indeed she was tormenting him, and yes she was having a hell of a time doing it as well.

Despite her grinning face, Dhiren's ears fell back foolishly at her words and his amber eyes narrowed in a defensive manner as he glanced away from her. His tail began whipping the air behind him as his own tension and nerves began building themselves into a knotted mess in his stomach. He hated the way he was feeling, and the way he couldn't seem to get his mind or his body under control. He wanted to retreat from this woman and this situation, and flee like his tail was on fire, and yet...

Claws grazed the delicately concealed hips of the female before him lightly as his grip tightened on her. He could feel heat rise from his core to the tips of his ears as her warm, beautifully toned form pressed closer to him and her voice rumbled smoothly in his ear. The sensitive hairs in his ear trembled with her breath and his fur bristled as he felt her claws for the first time. Dhiren was completely entrapped; he didn't know what to do. He didn't realize it when she leaned away from him to once again look him in the face, for he had shut his own eyes tightly and grit his teeth with an almost painful expression as he tried desperately to keep himself in check. He could feel his blood racing through his veins with every powerful thump of his heart. He could hear the pulsing throb resonating in his ears and could feel the base of his ears beginning to tremble.

His grip tightened just a little more and his breathing began to grow labored. "What the hell," He growled to himself, "What's wrong with me?" Swish, swish. Fire seemed to blaze behind him as his tail made another rapid pass.

Alice merely smiled and pulled him down to her willing his eyes to open and look into her own.
“Oh there’s nothing wrong with you dear. Learn to live a little, it’s not like you’re going to see me again anytime soon.” She listened for the beat of music and found it slower than the rest had been, so now it was time for something a little more calming. Alice put her arms delicately on his shoulders and lifted his left hand into her right, pulling him into the dance.
“It seems as though you need to relax a bit. And perhaps that is why you are not fleeing from my presence like I can tell you wish to.” The Somali female went into a graceful spin on her toes and wound up back in his arms as easily as though she had never left.
“Or perhaps it is simply that you have not been with a female in a long while.” Alice dipped into the other, bringing her knee to his thigh and purred softly her golden eyes flashed some idea and she leaned up into him and laid her lips upon his, whispering quietly.
“Dance is something that is to be appreciated, it teaches the male how to respect the female form, and though the male leads it teaches the female the independence to follow or hold back. It is meant to be passionate, and bring others to their feet in a roar of applause. In a dance you must give trust to your partner, and you must give into the dance itsself, falling to its alluring trap. It is not something to be controlled and perhaps that is why you seem to think you are not a good dancer. And truth be told my dear you are a very good partner.” She kissed him lightly then and stepped back, bowing delicately whist he was no doubt still in shock.

Dhiren twitched when her hands were suddenly directing his face back towards her own and his eyes snapped open in an instant, Fiery amber color succumbing to the dark of his pupils as they opened wide. '...It's not like you're going to see me again anytime soon,' what she said in that moment made him feel even more foolish. Was it really the unfamiliar female presence that had his tail in a knot? Why was he letting himself get so worked up for anyway? The Somali tomcat could only stare helplessly into the bright golden gaze of the female before him as she guided his hands into a new position and gently tugged him into a softer, more intimate dance. His feet moved naturally in response to her, matching her movements step-by-step.

With an almost defeated expression, he lent himself into the brief dance, holding his arm out to receive her once again as she spun out and back. Her words were making sense somewhere in his jumbled thoughts, and even though it clashed terribly with his character, he tried to allow the music to control him rather than the other way around. Orange and brown-tipped ears fell back in wary uncertainty, and he froze in place when she leaned into him suddenly. "Wha.." He tried to question her on her last comment, but when her lips brushed over his own lightly he was silenced again.

His pupils shrank into slits again as he stared. She bowed and he stood there, his arms still frozen in the position they had been when he held her. Visibly, this time, his face flushed and his mouth hung open a little. It was the first time Dhiren had ever been kissed by a woman, and he was completely lost for how to respond. In an instant, all of his nerves were in chaos again, and then he recalled her earlier statement. This was nothing to get excited about.

Slowly he closed his eyes and let a deep breath escape in a quiet hiss. Opening one eye halfway, amber met gold once again and he murmured quietly, "Man, you really are a coy female; you know how to get a guy's blood burning." His hands found their way into the pockets of his slacks again and he straightened, lifting his ears once again. "Your words make sense though, and..." He paused, his tail giving a thoughtful flicker, "you were right... about my company with women. This was the first time, actually..."

Alice giggled and danced back to him, resting her arms back upon his shoulders.
“You must be very brave. Most men would not admit that even if they had their tail set on fire.” She smiled up at him and relished in the praise, she loved seeing that look upon a males face, and it meant that she would forever be part of their thoughts one way or another. The Somali’s thoughts strayed to whether or not she would always torment men, if she would continue her whole life as nothing more than a siren. Somehow the thoughts seemed as though they were not her own, as if the male before her was washing off onto her just as she was to him...

The girl lifted her hand and stroked his cheek before stepping away and walking back to her jacket. Her face was sober for the first time that evening as she slipped on the delicate fabric and brushed her dark bangs from her face. Her hand found the flask and she remembered why it was they had started this game to begin with. With shaking hands she lifted it to her lips and took a sip, while watching the other. He had deserved it, to know what exactly it was in the flask.
“It is nothing more than a scentless form of mild alcohol. It’s clear, so sadly many have mistaken it for water and drank the whole flask. Needless to say it knocked them on their a**.” She smiled then, remembering Darius’s reaction to the stuff, very nearly spitting it all over her. Alice was tempted to offer the other some, but doubted he would want any. She walked to the dumpster and lifted herself upward once more and watched the other with her penetrating gold eyes.

His cheeks still burning hotly, he didn't look at her directly when she stroked his face and praised his honesty. "Yea, well..." He didn't finish the thought, for he wasn't sure why he had admitted something like that to her. Perhaps he felt that she had a right to know; after all, she had managed to guess at many of his private thoughts thus far. His eyes trailed after her as she padded quietly back to her discarded jacket and slipped it on. Lifting his ears, he wondered if he had seen a darker look on her face just then.

The silver flask of before glinted into view again, and as he turned his attention to it she spoke again. A human alcohol, so that was it; again, she answered his questions before he could ask, it was a little unsettling. When she jumped back onto the dumpster where their encounter began, he flicked his tail and followed her decisively. He had been there first after all.

Jumping up onto the lid again, he crouched next to her and took the flask from her hand. He had wanted to know about it in the first place, so without saying anything, he raised it to his lips and took a brief swig of it. Allowing it to swish about in his mouth, he swallowed and handed the silver container back to Alice. He didn't look at her, but a sour expression lingered on his face, "It's bitter." The music in the nightclub next to them had quieted down by now, and outside of the alley, noisy humans were spilling into the streets on their way home. Crossing his arms behind his head, Dhiren laid back on the lid of the dumpster and closed his eyes. "I'm okay now," He growled softly, "I no longer feel like running."

Alice leaned over and rested her head on the others lap.
“Why in the world would you wish to run anyway in the first place? The past will never catch you if you stay in the present.” She purred quietly and took a sip from the flask herself, he was right she supposed, it was bitter, but she had grown immune to it.

She peeked up at him curiously, wondering why he had never been kissed before. The Somali male was pretty enough, his amber eyes sparkled in the moonlight, and he had a way with words once one got over the cockiness that protruded from him… not to mention he was a very good dancer. She closed her eyes once more out of courtesy and listened to his heart beat. So she was taking advantage of the other, it was not unlike her to use another as a pillow. Hell Alice was rarely alone, with how well she got along with the guys.

She turned her head so that she could see the sky. The stars were still twinkling, though their song had dwindled as the night had drawn onward. At least she had the lovely company of one that seemed not to mind the company she offered.

Dhiren's heart gave a hard thump and sped it's rhythm up just a little when she laid next to him, her head resting on his chest. He half expected her to do it, but it still surprised him anyway. "Maybe I don't want my past to catch me." His growl rumbled deep in his chest as he spoke quietly. The tom's fluffy tail flopped over his waist and an arm snaked around her waist as he felt her turn to gaze upwards. He opened his eyes as well and took note of the lightening of the sky. Had he really spent the entire night with this woman? "At this point, the future is the only place that holds any meaning for me." He continued thoughtfully, "And what about you, who seems to live for the present?"

“Is the present so bad in this moment?” she asked quietly at the stars above her. She heard his heart quicken and it brought a smile to her lips. The female was tired, but for some reason she did not want to simply disappear in that moment, she wished to finish this talk, to have him open up.
“I live in the present because the past is something we should never dwell on and the future is always a step out of the way. I will live in the future when it is before me.”

Sighing quietly she looked back to the other. Her kiss was meant to mean nothing, and yet for some reason it felt like it did. Well it felt that way to her. Perhaps she should run, just as she always had, but her curiosity was piqued and as the saying goes ‘curiosity kills the cat.’

Dhiren closed his eyes again and smiled to himself, "I suppose, at this moment, the present isn't all bad, but the present isn't much more than that; a moment or two." Sleep was beginning to encroach on the edges of his mind, allowing him to relax a little more. "As far as the future is concerned," He murred quietly, "it will continue to be out of the way until you turn to it and approach it on your own." Contentedly, now, his fluffy tail tip began flipping up and dropping back over himself in an easy rhythm. The arm that had found itself around the female again, loosened in its grip.

Dhiren did his best not to think about the past too often, for he agreed that it was better left on it's own where it belonged, but the most recent events of this night would not fade so easily. Alice was having a more profound effect on him than he realized in that moment. "I'm beginning to understand, I think. You run a lot too." The night really was wearing on him, and without thinking, he rolled over and curled into her with his last statement.

She watched him drift to sleep, of course what he had said was true… but it would not be a philosophy she would be adopting anytime soon. Her eyes were half closed at this point when she found herself in and out of sleep… It was then that something clicked in her mind, something the Somali had taught herself at a young age. Flirting was plenty fine as long as you knew what you were doing and kept your distance, always weaving in and out of grip. The moment a female stayed within grasp for long enough proved to be disastrous, for she would begin to fall. The very first of these signs was when she willingly fell asleep cuddled into his side, just as Alice laid now. Quietly she lifted his arm from around her and jumped from the garbage bin, cursing the stars and their twinkling song. The knife seemed to cut both ways, by tormenting him she would be tormenting herself.
“Goodbye Dhiren.” She said quietly and ran down the alleyway with only the sound of her heels on the pavement as company.
