The young Ragamuffin trembled with all sorts of excitement as the young energetic and surprisingly kind kitten looped her arm. A firm and positive nod was given as she began to walk, side by side with this Bobtail. The aquariums that lined their path were catching her eyes. What laid inside was very intriguing, catching Belle's attention to say the very least. "Oh! What's this? My goodness, this looks fantastic! Oh, and this too!" She said darting from side to side to get a good look at each and every tank, her dainty little heels clip clopping along the floor now. Of course, this was over whelming for somebody who had never really ventured out of their house before, but it was more than worth the over excitement. Belle was so fascinated in fact that she didn't even notice she was acting a bit unladylike like with all the running around.
When Demi decided to lead her to the climax of the adventure and into that large tunnel with monstrous creatures living in harmony with the tiny not so large fishies. "My goodness! They could eat those little ones. But they don't?" She asked turning to the tailless female with wonder on her face. "That's awfully nice of them," she commented before returning her eyes to the watches above head. Her tail swished from side to side, showing how content and happy she was. "Demi, are you allowed to come here whenever you want?" She wanted to know if she could do the same. This place was cool and very calm. The perfect place to come to get out of the heat and just relax, and that's something Belle loved doing.

Demi could only watch and laugh as the fluffy cat ran to and fro admiring everything in the aquarium. Her ears perked at the loud sounds coming from the shoes that the Ragamuffin wore, but she disregarded them for now.
At the observation of the fish swimming around the corridor they were in, Demi tilted her head and looked out into the water thoughtfully. "Heh, that's interesting... I never thought about that." She giggled, then shrugged her shoulders and walked across to jump on the bench in the middle of the hall, "I guess the humans aren't stupid enough to put fish who would eat one another in the same tank together..." Taking a seat in the middle of the bench, the bobtail watched Belle wander around and enjoy herself for a while longer. Eventually though, her eyes trailed from the enthusiastic princess to the delicious treats swimming about behind her, and her stomach grumbled quietly.
The sudden voiced question from the other young cat, as she stared at the fish above, caught Demi's attention again though, and she thought about that for a moment with a mischievous, knowing grin. "Yea, I pretty much come and go around here as I please. Although, I wouldn't advise a pampered princess like yourself to run about doing the same. Someone like you is bound to get herself in trouble doing that." Giggling again, Demi jumped off the bench and headed out the other end of the watery corridor with the end of her remark. This path would lead them up to the top of the large aquariums, where the real fun would begin.

Belle nervously laid back her ears and thought for a moment of how Belle was more at risk. Was she really, or was this little bobtail just trying to come off as more sly. "Oh, well ... I'm sure I could handle myself anyways. I don't need this place." She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. "Actually, I think I better be going on my way. My humans my come back and... I don't want to miss them." She began to click her heels, retracing their steps to find the exit. Belle really didn't expect to find her people to have returned home, but it was a good enough excuse to flee the scene, right?

Demi paused at the far end of the undersea corridor and glanced back as Belle suddenly decided to turn back. Still grinning to herself, the bobtail's hand rested at her hip and she watched the Ragamuffin's fluffy tail for a moment. "Well, that's a pretty stiff way to respond," She mewed with a teasing tone, "I was just saying that a cat so unused to being on her own shouldn't be wandering around on her own. I could always bring you back around here if you wanted..."
Seeing that her words weren't stopping the other girl's tracks, Demi bounded across the room to bounce up in front of her. "Aww, come on, Princess!" She mewed pleadingly, placing both hands on Belle's shoulders and spinning her about to guide her further into the aquarium, "We haven't even gotten wet yet! I was planning on getting lunch here... aren't you hungry at all?"

The more this little one talked the deeper Belle buried her upset feelings and tried to replace them as much as she could with kind ones. "Well, I-I can take care of myself. I may have not done it before, but... I'm a big girl." She sighed and looked at Demi with begging eyes, praying that she would believe her. They way the girl was pushing her forward really caused poor Belle to stumble a bit. She was offering to show her back here? It would be a lot less dangerous if it were the two of them, but still. She didn't believe Belle could carry her own weight, or what?
The bobtail quickly spoke about getting wet and having lunch. It surely sounded like a good idea the way she was saying it with a chipper voice but when it registered in the Ragamuffin's mind she quickly dug her heels into the ground and refused to move another inch. "W-wet? Did you say wet? Um... Demi dear. I don't think getting wet is such a good idea. I mean, we're already nice and cool in here. Lunch! Lunch sounds good. Why don't we skip getting wet and just go straight to that. I haven't eaten anything descent in a while."

Demi stopped and looked at her as if her luxurious tail had suddenly fallen off. "Uhm... right!" It was clear that Belle didn't yet understand how they were going to get lunch. With a mischievous glint in her eyes, the Bobtail bopped the palm of her hand against her forehead and laughed. "Okay okay, don't worry about the wet thing, lets just get lunch then!" Giving the fluffy girl an endearing smile, Demi held out her arm to continue to escort her out of the corridor and up into the rest of the exhibits.
Their path began sloping and winding upwards gradually, and they passed several more aquariums. The tail-less cat realized that maybe her flippant tone might have upset Belle a little, but she meant what she said. Dark eyes flicked over to the girl beside her and Demi sighed to herself. "I suppose you are a big girl, but from where I'm standing you look more like a cat who should be protected." Her words were blunt and rather tactless despite her intentions, "You just don't look like much of a fighter, so it sort of worries me to think about you wandering around these kind of places on your own." As she thought about it, Demi realized that Belle might not have been aware of the fact that they were treading about another cat's protected territory. Grinning to herself, the dusty brown cat decided she would just have to explain these things to her new friend.

Belle allowed her new friend to lead her towards her next meal. She wouldn't worry about the water anymore since Demi had explained that they would just go to lunch now, which sounded like a wonderful plan to Belle. "Oh good. Staying dry sounds nice." She watched the placement of her feet as she continued to stroll along with the younger feline. It seemed however that this cat was far more educated on what was going on around here. It was funny in a strange twisted way.
When the path began to slope Belle had to walk in an unusual and strangely balanced way due to her heels. The conversation went on with Demi and soon there were new things to trouble Belle that wouldn't leave her thinking Demi was assuming to much. "Excuse me?! Well, I would never think of starting a fight. Never in a million years!" She never thought fighting would be a part of her life so she never really took the time to practice or anything. Plus, it's not like she actually had anybody or anything to practice with since she was locked up inside all her life. "I'm very flattered that you think I need protecting, though Demi..." She took that as if the bobtail really cared about her safety and that was a wonderful feeling. Knowing that she was worth protecting.

"Don't mention it," Demi mewed coolly, perking her ears forward as the ground started leveling out again and two large doors came into view, "besides, you starting the fights isn't necessarily the issue here." Slipping her arm from the Ragamuffin's grasp, the bobtail bounced over to the right side of the door and pushed with everything she had. Slowly, the door slid open just enough for them to fit. With a huff, Demi smiled over at bell and waved her over. "Come on, Princess, Lunch is in here!" She mewed brightly before passing into the other room.
The next room was huge and very bright. Way high above them, the translucent roof domed upward, letting in the light of the sun. A path snaked through the room, seemingly floating upon the water as huge tanks flanked it on both sides. There was a short wall that humans could peer over to see the fish beneath and a couple small docks that divers used occasionally. Dotting the water in various places were artificial islands and other landmasses. Demi walked out onto one of the diving docks and gathered her legs beneath her at the very edge of it. Her ears were erect and pointing forward as her eyes locked onto the sandy mass of the nearest island. With a powerful leap, she sailed over the gap of water and landed just at the edge of the land. Had she missed her mark by even half an inch, she would have been swimming to shore. Plopping down in the sand, the dusty-colored kitten stared back at Belle expectantly.

Belle eyed the girl as she spoke about her starting the fights not being the problem with all this. It made her wonder, who on earth would want to start a fight with little old her? She didn't want anything from anybody, and most certainly wasn't a demanding person at all. How come Demi thought she would get into a fight? It bothered her, sure, but she wasn't going to push the matter on any further. Once the girl brought her to the large door way everything seemed to be forgotten. "Hm... here, let me assist you." She spoke and took a step forward to help the young girl straining her muscles but just as she did so it seemed as though Demi had it all under control.
Shrugging it off she walked right behind the tail-less dare devil and eyed the water at each side of her, feeling very overwhelmed. All that the fluffy girl kept thinking was, 'I wont fall in, I wont fall in.' Once she came to a stop, Belle followed Demi's lead, standing a little ways back from her. "Demi? What are you-" the words were cut off as she pounced over the water to the mass of land. Belle's heart had stopped for a mere second. "Goodness, Demi! Be more careful! you could have fallen in!" She scolded the girl from across the water but saw that look in her eyes and quickly shook her head, "Oh no! No no no... if you think I'm jumping then you're mad!"

Demi's brass-colored eyes narrowed in a Cheshire grin, and she waved over at Belle. "So what if I had fallen in... it's alright!" She mewed cheerfully, amused at the Ragamuffin's panicked tone. Demi was completely disregarding the fact that she couldn't swim at all. "Don't be such a fraidy-cat, Princess! I thought you were a big girl!" Still grinning with that playful gleam in her eyes, the Bobtail's tone was teasing, and she got to her feet again. "Hurry up, I'm going to leave you behind and eat all the food by myself!" The mew was singsong as Demi turned and padded up the beach, slipping through the low-growing foliage deeper into the island. She tilted one ear subtly back and listened with a grin. Just inside the cover of plants, the kit turned and sat down again, waiting for her companion to join her. Through the leaves and fronds, she could still see the fluffy Ragamuffin fretting at the dock.

Her eyes flickered from her feet to her peer pressuring little friend from across the water. She knew that Belle didn't like this idea, and yet she was still urging her on. What a cruel little kitty. Falling in? Falling in is certainly not alright. If she had fallen in Belle wouldn't have known what to do. After getting over herself and the panic Belle would probably go in after her, if it were the only way to save her, but the little Ragamuffin would never let her drown. "I-I am I big girl!" She called to the stubby tailed girl and crossed her arms tightly over her chest. "No, I'm coming..." she rolled her eyes and her stomach began to turn with excitement and fear.
She unwrapped her arms and took a step or two back from the edge of the dock. She bit her lip firmly and sized up the jump. She would have to try her hardest. She shut her eyes tight and prayed a little for a safe jump before opening them and racing to the edge where she took a great goofy looking leap. You could tell she wasn't used to such activities. She landed with her heels barely reaching the edge of the island. In fact, she was leaning back, waving her arms frantically, trying not to fall backwards into the water, but no matter how much she wind-milled her arms she seemed to lean back more and more. "Demi!" she called out to her friend desperately. She was going to splash into the water if she didn't get some help.

Demi's grin only widened as she watched from her concealed position the fluffy cat following her across the channel. Her amusement at the awkward jump was cut short when the other girl just barely landed on the edge of the island. Deep golden eyes snapped open wide as she watched Belle falling backwards, and the Bobtail was on her paws and pelting towards the shoreline in an instant. Reaching out, she grabbed the Ragamuffins arms with both of her own and yanked her backwards, towards the land. If the fluffy cat had fallen in, it would have been all over for her; Demi certainly wouldn't have been able to save her once she was in the water.
As she felt the weight of the other girl rock forward, Demi lost her footing in the loose sand and stumbled back a few steps. She released her hold on Belle and instead tried to catch herself as she tumbled back into the line of foliage again. Rubbing her ear, the bobtail poked her head back out again and sighed with a grin. "You sure are clumsy, Princess.... Geez."

Belle's arm felt like it was being pulled apart, what with her body wanting to go one way and Demi trying to pull her another. Luckily, she didn't loose any body parts today. When the proper kitty started falling forward, and Demi was quick to stumble back into a bit of foliage, Belle was left to land on nothing but that fine grain sand. "Ouch!" She shouted, but there was really no pain, just a bit startled. Her knees and hands were on the ground, her perfect little dress completely covered in the substance. "Oh dear! Ooooh, look at how dirty I am!" She struggled to her feet, but one foot after another she kept wobbling back down to her knees. She couldn't stand in heels on this mushy sand stuff. It was torture. "Wh-what is this? Ugh, I hate it! I'm all covered in this horrible stuff!" She glared down at the land and finally managed to balance herself up on to legs again.
She heard the girls comment about her being clumsy and gave a huff of dissatisfaction. "Well, I blame this terrible stuff on the floor. No wonder I could find my footing." She kicked at it but only sent herself falling back down. "Gosh!" she shouted in anger, "Hmph... I.... I wanna go home..." She crossed her arms, feeling a bit whiny and not wanting to play around anymore. Her tone was a mixture of wanting to cry but wanting to keep her upset and cranky expression. She wasn't even feeling like eating, which was surprising because just before she was starving. She was just in to much of a salty mood to even think about food. This happened usually when she got dirty, or thought she got dirty. It was only sand.

Demi's eyes sparkled with concealed laughter as she watched the other cat flounder in the sand; those strange shoes certainly weren't practical. Hearing her new friend's dissatisfied tone, however, the bobtail did her best to bite her tongue and not look too terribly pleased with the situation. When the fluffy Ragamuffin huffed and declared that she wanted to go home with a tone that sounded very final, Demi blinked and lowered her ears. "W-well... If you really want to..." She began, her eyes slowly trailing back across the channel and towards the dock again, "but we're gonna have to jump back over... It might be better if you just took those silly shoes off, though." Padding back over to the shore, past Belle, Demi idly paddled in the water. Belle might not be hungry any longer, but she still was. She'd jump back with her fish if she had to.

Belle listened to the younger one, her face still all scrunched up and trying to keep from crying or anything pathetic like that. "F-fine..." She glanced over her shoulder at the dock across the water. She would have to jump back? But what if this time she didn't make it? What then? Well, obviously, she would be wet. What if she couldn't swim, though? She had never tried before. She had never been fully submerged in water before. What if worst comes to worse. She would have to take that chance. She stood up, very carefully might I add, and removed her shoes because Demi had a good point. Maybe they were the reason for her loosing her balance. Plus, she didn't want to break them with all this jumping. "Um, okay... let me see..." She sized up the jump nervously.
Taking the necessary steps back and clearing her throat, as if that would do any good, she daintily took her steps forward, probably not fast enough because she ended up coming short of her target. Luckily, she managed to grab on with her arms to the edge of the dock, only allowing her legs and tail to sink beneath the water's surface. "Ah! Oh no!" she screamed, scrambling out of the water quickly and looking down at the damp end of her dress and her soaked skin. She tossed her shoes aside and tried desperately to dry her tail which looked incredibly funny all soaked and drooping. "Oh, no.... look at it... I'm ugly now!" She frowned and thought that the world was coming to an end so she had to cry. Tears began to travel down her face as she looked back across the way for Demi, who had been trying to catch a fishy. "Ugh! And you don't even care! I'm all ugly and it's all your fault!" She shouted to her friend across the way.
