"Yeah Yugure I'm..." Feeling another twinge of pain this one much sharper then before made Starla break apart her sentence as she tried to get in a more comfortable position thinking that was the cause of the pain. "....sure everything is just...." Feeling a bit short of breath and a tiny bit hot Starla started panting slightly to keep herself from overheating and passing out. "...fine!" Ok so being pregnant and lying didn't go well together at all. She couldn't have fooled a squirrel with this last one. Deciding the pain was unusual Starla decided to asses her symptoms to see if she could deduce the cause. With a happy sigh she realized her brilliant brain was still there under the hormones, she just had to do some digging to access it.

Yugure ended up standing back and was nearly prancing around Starla in a panic. "No no no. It doesn't sound just fine. Something is wrong!" He said clearly upset about this, "What could it be? Is something going wrong? What if you're going into labor now?! What if one of the puppies is dying in there?" All of those thoughts scared the daylights out of him. He looked at her with wide eyes.

Decidedly ignoring Yugure right now Starla ran over everything that was happening and realized that even in his panic Yugure was right in one of his guesses. She was going into labor. This was just fantastic. "Yugure I doubt the pups are dying. If anything I believe I'm...." An extremely sharp stab of pain shook her and her sentence was permenatly cut off as she grunted in pain. Dang giving birth to pups was more painful then she expected! Knowing the pups would probably be here soon Starla laid to her side and lifted her head. "Yugure I think I'm going into labor....."

By now Yugure was prancing around Starla in a panic. "I don't want my babies to die!" He said before the rest sunk in, "You're going into LABOR!? I've gotta find someone! I don't know what to do!" He began to run off but ended up tripping on a tree root and fell to the ground. He lifted his head and looked at Starla. "What do I do?!"

Starla couldn't help it, she giggled like crazy at Yugure's behavior. It was obvious he was panicing and had no idea what to do and was looking to her, an adolescent who was experiencing labor, for help. It was too funny not to laugh at. The pain continued but by now Starla's instincts were starting to kick in and she relaxed completely following what her body was telling her to do. "Relax Yugure or you'll end up hurting yourself and we don't need that! What you should to is watch for predators, we don't want anything trying to harm the pups as they come into the world." Really he didn't need to do anything but she could tell he needed a job and that was one that required all his attention.

Yugure stared at her wide eyed. She was laughing at him! How could she be laughing if she was in labor?! The job she gave him made him relax and come to his senses. "Right. Protect the pups." He said standing up. He turned away from her and began scanning the area.

Stifling another round of laughs Starla felt another round of pain and knew this was it. "Now Yugure the pups are finally coming so don't turn around unless you really want to see the mess that is the miracle of birth." Smiling for only a second her brows knit together in pain as she relaxed even more. This was it there was no way to turn back now. As another strike of pain hit her Starla whimpered slightly. Oh boy hopefully this went well. If not she prayed to any God or Goddess that they let the pups live instead of her.

Yugure nodded keeping his focus on sweeping the area for intruders. There was none one and it quickly made him bored. At her whimper he whipped his head towards her and saw the miracle of birth. It was disgusting looking! His eyes grew wide as he saw one of the pups crown. He then fell over in a dead faint. It was too much for him to handle.

Too focused on bringing the new pups into the world Starla didn't notice Yugure had passed out until it was all done and over with. "Yugure? Yugure hun wake up! Don't you want to say hello to your new pups?" Smiling slightly Starla started licking the pups, pushing them closer to her belly so they could suckle. They were adorable, two healthy pups. So pleased was she that Starla let out a purr like growl as she nuzzled them.

Yugure slowly came around after Starla gave birth. He woke up completely hearing her call his name and to a loud whimpering/howling. Blinking his eyes he looked around. He stood up and shook himself before turning to his mate and children. "...... the puppies are born?" He asked slowly walking to her. There they were! Two pups...... with little wings like his. "So that noise is from that one." He sat near his family and leaned over to nose the noisemaker, "Hush little one. You're fine here." He looked up at Starla, felt a brief wave of pride, and smiled. "What shall we name them?"
Having come into the world blind and completely confused Akiko began howling and voicing herself as soon as she discovered her voice. She was doing nothing but making noise and sometimes putting in a complaint about hunger. When her mother pushed her to her she stopped howling and began to suckle.

"Well since there's two why don't we each name one? I've been thinking of names for awhile now so I've already got mine picked out." Laughing softly Starla nuzzled the quieter of the two, who resembled her father greatly. "I think I'll name this little one Taeyamo.....and what about our other little girl? I have a feeling she'll be quite vocal as she grows." There was no doubt in her mind that her other child would be a handful. She only hoped that her sister could help keep her in line.
As soon as she was out Tae yearned for warmth. After being in such heat it was strange feeling how cool the air felt on her fur. When her mother pushed her to her belly Tae ate hungrily, pressing close to her mother and sister to get back the warmth that had left.

Yugure nodded at Starla's suggestion of them each naming one. He stared at his youngest noticing the sparkly looking fur on her head. "Hm...... I think I'll name her Akiko. That's a good name. I do hope she's not too vocal..... she'll alert everyone to where we are." He said looking from her to Taeyamo, "A pretty name..... Taeyamo." He moved to the other side of Starla so he was near the pups and laid down.
Akiko finished eating and felt some heat from someone next to her. She moved closer to her sister before crawling on top of her and laying there. She let out a content sigh as she nuzzled her sister's back.

"Akiko......what a beautiful name." She smiled lovingly at Yugure and then laid back a bit. She was tired. Giving birth to pups did that to a helix. But she kept her eyes open for anything that might hurt the new lives she had brought into the world. If anything happened to these little ones she would never forgive herself.
Letting out a little breath of air at the sudden weight of her sister Tae snuggled closer to her mother, adjusting her back a little bit to move her sister into a better place. Once she was comfortable she also sighed and started drifting off into sleep.

Akiko snuggled on her sister's back, getting into a better position as Tae moved. She soon fell asleep lightly snoring.
Yugure nodded while smiling. He noticed that his mate was fighting to keep her eyes open. "Starla..... go to sleep. I'm here. I'll watch out for you and the pups." He said with a smirk, "No way anything is getting past me." He watched as his mate fell asleep and then turned his attention to the surrounding forest.
