Cherie snapped out of her day dream at his last words. "I might come along?" she tiled her head and looked at him with a sassy grin. "I thought you didn't want a girl." she said as she rose her shoulders and shook her head a little bit. "So she stays with your mother hmm?" she thought for a moment. He spilled more than she was looking for, so she decided to ask. "What happened to her? The mother of your children I mean."

He shook his head rapidly back and forth, "No, Kirelle stays with my father, she even took his last name." Sighs and rolls his eyes slightly. "She's too much like him... sadly. I suppose I got more of my mother's charm." Taking a deep thought to her question he only mused, his head moving up to glance at the dark sky that was showing a red hue over the horizon. "Gwen? I really don't know... I can't really say there was ever really anything between us more than just the night that resulted in the cubs. Besides... she was an angel, and I a demon. Our kind should never mix. Its still beyond me why Kirelle decided to stay with my side of the family because she's a lot more like her mother." To the snide remark he only smirked, "I said I didn't need a girl, I didn't say I didn't want one."

Cherie took everything in that he was saying, and could only bring herself to somewhat laugh and mostly sigh at his last remark. "Needing and Wanting. Would they not be the same?" she pondered, content with the fact that he might not actually present her with the answer she sought. Switching subjects before he had the chance to answer, she examined a single claw on her left paw. "A demon hmm? Well that explains a lot." she grinned. "I've been called a demon myself." she stated, much more softly.

"No actually, they're quite different. You could want something but not necessarily need it, like a brand new waterhole that none of your rivals have ever drank from. Or... you could need something that you don't necessarily want. You could need love... but it doesn't mean you want to be loved.." Grunting, his eyes watched over her for a moment before giving up his whole thoughts with a long sigh. "It doesn't really matter though I suppose." Taking a step forward, he nudged her gently with the the end of his nose just enough to gain her attention. "Being called a demon and actually being one are two completely different things. My father's kind are called demons too because they associate with my mother's kind, but its not true. My mother, however, is a true demon."

Growling just ever so slightly at the nudge, her eyes met his for a brief second. Turning her head away, she shut her eyes. Images flowed rapidly through her head like a raging river but she could never figure them out. "I suppose." she said with a sigh. "What does that make me then? When I shut my eyes and dream of a blood rain, or remember the feeling of flesh beneath my claws and yet have no memory of the killings they say I've done." she hissed, examining her claws once again. "You tell me. What do you think I am?" she asked softly.

Sighing to her growl at his nudge, which was suppose to be no more than an innocent reassurance, he brought his head upright and decided that it would be best off if he didn't stay close to her, at all. So in return to her reaction he took a few steps back, shaking his head back and forth for a bit. "It makes you no worse than I am. I've killed and enjoyed it, and I remember what I've done." His eyes veered off. "I believe though... you need to speak to someone who can help you more than I. But its a bit of a journey up toward the mountains to see her." After stating this, his eyes remained off of her as he took a few steps in the direction of fortresses of stone.

Cherie sighed. She was driving away the only being who had dared to touch her since...well since she could remember. Pondering his words for a bit, she got to her paws and folded her wings at her side. "Alright then. If this 'someone' can give me answers, then I will make that journey." she said, trailing after him.

Looking back over his shoulder, "I never said she could give you answers, I said she could help you." Shaking his head he motioned for her to catch up as he was now a few feet further from her. As his eyes cast upward he couldn't believe that he was doing this, his mother would kill him if she ever found out.

"Answers...help. Its all the same to me." she said, quickening her pace to be at his side. She noticed his upward cast gaze and and took in a deep breath. "Thank you...for this." she spoke softly, her eyes peering straight ahead.
