There must be someone who knew her mother's name. Someone who remembered. Shinda thought, eyes narrowing with determination. Yet another mystery she had to attempt to dig out from the others.
The lioness stood rather stiffly, not knowing how to react to the physical contact with her 'mother'. She had never really gotten any sort of familial cuddling (Sakata spent most of her childhood simply watching her) and it seemed so awkward, so strange.
She nodded slowly in return, watching the older lioness walk away before she turned and continued on her patrols.
Well, well, at least things wouldn't be boring around here now.
