The holograms around the table disappeared into the air. The meeting was done although there were several more holograms who didn't speak this time around.

Back at the frontal base, the Gear Tunneler was malfunctioning. It's basic controls were short circuiting and the engineers were trying to solve the problem.
"Agh, it's no good!"
The engineers evacuated the Gear Tunneler in a hurried fashion.
One of the Shinobi Captains formed several earth seals with his hands before slamming them against the Tunneler's shark head metal surface. The Gear Tunneler started to sink under the hangar and traveled outside at a high speed before it exploded underground half a mile away.
There was a huge crater in the ground as an aftermath.
"What happened out there?" The main engineer asked. "It's power supply was tainted by something when it absorbed an attack this time. Where's the Maestro?"
One of the Shinobi Captains from the other remaining Gear Tunnelers answered. "He's dead. Although the Gear Tunneler ate his body, it's no where to be found. We saw him decapitated."

"Well then someone's going to have to answer to them." The main engineer replied. "Those things weren't cheap."
"I'm full aware, engineer." The Shinobi Captain replied back.
The Captain turned and made his way through the frontal base to the communications room where the last meeting took place. Two other Shinobi Soldiers accompanied him and would wait outside the doors.
One of the Shinobi Soldiers was chuckling under his breath when the Captain went into the room to report in Bao's place.
"Don't laugh or he'll hear you from in there." The other soldier whispered in response to the soldier's laughter.
"Ahem."

The Shinobi Captain entered the room and activated the communication holograms. The request for contact was sent as an urgent priority.
Three holograms of shadowy figures appeared at the long desk. One of them was in a trench coat, another in a business suit. The last one was dressed in some kind of military uniform. Their faces were blotted out."Yeesss..?
Is this Bao, hehehhh?"
The one in the trench coat asked. "..."
The Shinobi Captain stood there silent before he answered.
"Lieutenant Steel fell in combat a few days ago. I'm here to report of the battle situation in his absence."

"?!" The woman in the business suit was speechless.The Captain continued with the report. "He was struck down by a coordinated attack from the Academy's students, two of the Gear Tunnel--"The man in the military uniform busted out laughing.
"HAHAHAHAH!! His head got too big for his body to carry! All that talk about not underestimating people, even! That's too ironic." The man in the trench coat remained silent. The fact that Bao was really killed by mere students seemed out of place. He waited until the laughter died out before continuing with the report. "Two Gear Tunnelers were destroyed, and a third self detonated within the base after absorbing an attack it couldn't handle.
All the Soldiers returned without casualty."

"You won't be getting anymore reinforcements for now. Right now the Scorp Unit has been deactivated for maintenance. Hold out on operations until further instructed and stay in isolation. Maintain communication silence until we make contact with you."
The military Commander instructed.
"You will temporarily be in charge of the frontal base until we come in contact again with a more suited choice.
That is all." The Shinobi Captain saluted as the holograms ceased transmission and left the room. The two Shinobi Soldiers outside the door accompanied him back towards the hangar.
