Darsh put down his phone number and his address and, much to the Siren's relief, his name as well. "You just go down Peace street until you see the house. It's not really a street, it's just the driveway. But it's long." He grinned, but the grin turned to a faint scowl as Emma walked up, holding a squirming bundle of lolcat in her arms.
"Bout time." Darsh muttered.
"Sorry!" Emma chirped obliviously. She was clearly high as a kite - her usual state. "Had to find Hayden. Whose your friend?" The woman smiled at Casia.
"This is Casia." Darsh said, not sure how much he wanted to share with his guardian. She was his friend, after all. He had to share his space and everything with his brothers. He didn't want to share her, too.
"Fud!" Hayden said, squirming towards the Siren. Anything with wings was food as far as Hayden was concerned. "Can has?"

Casia snagged the paper, giving it a discreet glance as she slipped it into the pocket of her dress. "Thanks... Darsh. We should definitely jam, I'll tell you if I can work something out. Hopefully I'll just grab you at school and let you know, though." Letting people know her phone number was okay if she had known them for a long time, but she couldn't just tell anyone.
She looked up as Darsh's family finally appeared, sans meanie father, thank heavens. His brother was just as strange as he was though, a catlike thing that was writhing in the woman's arms.
The woman looked fairly normal, but something in her voice and eyes made her seem different from, say, Jane. Not quite there. Her wings flapped nervously, she didn't like it when she couldn't exactly place someone. "I was just leaving!" she stammered quickly as the woman asked who she was and the toddler called her food. Darsh was okay for now at least, but these two were foreign to her. "Anyway, see you later Darsh!" she said quickly, slipping into the crowd of shoppers. "Nice singing with you!"
She was pleased to find that it had been, upon reflection. The duet was an unexpected musical treat, and she enjoyed her taste of honey.
