Smiling he nods, munching on another mouthful of cherries. "Maybe you can give me a little tour of the area while I show you how to find truffles?" Liking the sound of this, finding this mare interesting and sweet. "Who's Pakwa?" Not minding energetic but more a laid back kinda guy.
"The desert is really dry, and like walking in really dry deep mud.... Or that white stuff that falls from the sky. That looks tricky to walk on." Used to the difficulty of the walking, finding this firmer ground much easyer. "I miss home a little, but its pretty here and life is much simpler, though I find it cold sometimes." Nights in the desert cold, but here it never seemd to warm up as much as he was used to. "But I have no family to go back to, so starting over seems like a good enough idea to me."
Smiling at her. "So you lead on and when we find a good spot I'll show you how to find truffles." Tossing his head to get his mane back where it was most comfortable. "Hows that for you?" Mane settleing, leaving the last of the cherries for her,

(~coughs~ Didn't realize the page had flipped. Ahem. )
Eidel's mane sways about with the nodding of her head,"I'd be happy to show you about, there are a number of fine places to wander about in. and I can show you those places that are a bit better to camp out for warmth, especially in the cooler seasons." There being places better for taking shelter to and tricks to greater warmth. "OH, he's another of those who helps look after my two legger," since obviously the two leggers are the one needing looking after. "He's actually got some similiar coloring to you, blends in a little, buthe's got these splashes of orange that help keep him being seen...least usually. He's pretty ok, just a bit much sometimes with his energy, kind of dizzing." Rather...bouncy..and hoppy fellow.
"Dry? It gets dry here sometimes, the grass gets brittle then, not very tasty. Is the grass there always like that? Do you end up getting sand in near very bite? I'v ehad that happen a couple times near the river's shore by the beach...it wasn't very pleasant." A bit of a face pulled in remembrance, gritty. Ick. "White stuff?" Eidel looks confused for a moment before going,"Oh! You mean snow....It's not to bad when it's jsut snow and all fluffy like. It can be a bit much if to much piles up. The tricky part is when it rains before or after some falls, it can look pretty but it gets dreadfully slick to walk on. Nevermind, it means it is darn chilly out then and just the most pleasant for exploring in, and certainly not a time to be trying to find mushrooms." Winter being rough for finding food, two leggers being handy then. "Hmmm...I suppose ti can be cool here, specially in the forest...in the shadier parts, the water never seems to completely go from it. There are some places...I'll show you as we go, they arre good for laying out in the sun, you get warmed right up and dried out through and through."
"I don't much recall..my family, mostly just those about my two-legger...I guess we're sort of a family...Not quite like Migina and her's..She's got a mom and da proper like. She's another who looks after her. Our two legger that is, she's one of the females, keeps a bit to herself though. Not like some of them who seem right like a honey bee hive."
The last of the cherries get munched up between the two of them, with the last bite politely given to her. Eidel does give a slight dip of a bow,"Thank you, that was a lovely treat." Turning a bit to step off and give the little tour after taking in the new mane placement,"That looks just fine, like it's more used to being there. "

(I didn't notice at first either lol)
Abloec looks at her. "Two legger... I think I have seen some of those around... You have one?" Not sure what the function of these hoofless ones was but they had seemd harmless to him. None had tried to do anything to him so he left thme be. "Your friend sounds exausting..." Having as much energy as the next Soquili but even by those standards this other one sounded dizzying, just as Eidel had said.
Thinking about his home for a while before answering. "Yes the grass is often brittle and not tasty, but there are some places where the water is, they are lush and green. The grass is sweet and the water cool. Though I must say the soud of this snow is not nice, especially if you who find this temperature normal thinks its cold." He gives a shiver, thinking about the weather getting colder. "No definately not a time of year I am looking forward to." Perking up a little at the idea of being warm and laying in the sun. "Oh that would be wonderful, I would love to know good places to relax where I can be warm."
Smiling whimsically, "Sounds wonderful, family's are amazing things." Having nothing that came close to a family really. Thinking that what Eidel was talking about sounded amazing. "I think you are lucky to have a family around you, even if its not a blood family." Nodding and smiling. "I would like to meet your family one day if that is ever possible?" Knowing some would not like a stranger being around their loved ones.
Chuckleing, "yeah it does much as it likes most of the time..." Grinning as he steps up to follow her, interested in seeing everythign she had to show him. "No need to thank me, I'll get you more cherries to take to your family in payment for the tour." Smiling a very fair minded soquili, believing that each kindness should be repayed in some way.

A bob of her head occurs,"Yeah, I have one. Most of them..least the couple I've run along into have seemed proper and nice enough. For the most part, seems they won't bother ya much at all as long as you don't go about bothering them." Perhaps not all to certain on the purpose of one really, but it wasn't a thing Eidl had given much thought before..let alone now..not being a reader of minds as it were. "Oh...He can be...Have to take him in doses really. He's a fine fellow...just high energy rightly. I have to wonder sometimes if he ever sleeps..cause he just seems to go and go and..go."
The mare leading along through the forest as the pair talk, pointing out a few of the local plants that are tastier as she goes,"now those over there, with the wide leaf...see them, hiding right round that patch of chubby grass...Those have quite a sweet taste to them, make for a nice little treat when you don't want to be bothered by finding fruit or are wanting a touch of sweetness but the fruit or a bit of sugar would be to much." Eidel gives a light laugh,'The snow isn't to bad all around, bad sides to it, yes. But you get used to it after awhile. Just like now, it's nice..but there are storms and the like which are the not so pleasant side to the season. The cold, is the rough part of it though." Having grown up with the changing seasons, it is easy enough for Eidel to say that. "There is a meadow up around the next couple thickets, it has a fine choice of grasses plus the sun hits it right most of the afternoon to make it a nice place to lay out...and not have to worry about the waters of the river."
"It is fine fun having them about, not sure what the difference is exactly...Considering Migina spends a good measure of time with us. Just maybe those of blood are sort of stuck with each other?" The mare giving a shrug of a leg within the stepping motion. "I'm sure that'd be fine, don't see why it wouldn't be possible...One or two might take a bit more to round up, if going searching for them. But all swing by the two legger now and again, so sometimes it is almost easier to wait up there ratehr then going out searching." The mare giving a flop and shake of her head to get a luck to quick dancing over her eye, to send it back into place.
"Oh, there is no need for payment. I'm happy to do it, especially after crashing in on your nap like that. 'sides, seems only right to give you a look about with not being familiar with the place and more used to sands." Giving a point with her nose,"Couldn't having you go and eat stuff like that," the plant being a tri-leaf grouping," tastes fine for sure. But it'll make your mouth itch like nothing else after. And if you accidentally up and take a nap in the stuff. More itching, can last for near ever and no amount of rolling makes it stop."

Abloec follows, paying attention as she speaks and shows him stuff. His mind a little boggled at the thought of this energetic friend of her's. Wandering into the brush sometimes to give something she suggests a close look or a try. Keeping an even pace with her as they walk. "I've never really seen snow, well on the distant mountain tops on the edge of the desert but not to actually walk on... What kind of storms? I doubt that there are many sand storms here... and if you mean rain then I love them, it rains rairly in the desert, so when we do get rain we dance out in it." grinning, this fun and really refreshing when in the desert. "Talking of rain makes me want to go swiming."
Abolec shivers. "I'm not sure I'll do well in teh cold, its not really warm for me now, so I've no idea what I'll do when the weather turns colder." Starting to think he might need to find some place to shelter when things get cold. Liking the sound of the meadow much more than his thoughts. "I think that sounds like a nice place, I'll have to loiter there sometimes." His smiling coming back as the thoughts of cold weather fade.
Abloec nods as she talks about the little family herd she was with. It sounding nice in many ways, not always alone. Shaking his head "No I want to give you something, besides with my luck, I'd get into worse pickles without your help so I should be glad you sniffed me." Grinning and giving the itchy leaves a wide birth, falling over a tree root instead. Laughing as he gets back to his feet. "I'm glad that was the root and not that itchy stuff." Grinning obviously used to this kind of mishap.

"During the cold season, there are a couple types of storms...Snow being one of them, some aren't to bad...With just a bit of a lite flurry of the white flakes falling. But some of the them get right wicked with the winds and dumping piles and piles in a rather short time. I think it's the ice ones I dislike the most, if you get caught out in one...it ends up about painful with how it can sting with the bits of ice that fall, plus they coat everything. Usually best to hang out in some shelter and wait it all out to be honest. They usually don't last long and a watch of the sky can give some warning, though sometimes never do know which type of weather it is they are bringing along." realizing it probably sounds about horrific for someone not used to it. "But don't worry, they don't come often, nor last long..the season doesn't, even if it seems like ti does some years. Right now, there are rain storms and thunderstorms..Which well..they're just more energetic rain storms with more wind and all kinds of lights in the sky and more thunder booms to go with it." Canting her head to the side,"Though..sand storms? Like...sand flying about just like the water does when it rains? How do you deal with that? I mean...I get annoyed enough when the sands at the beach puff up to much when talking through and gets caught up in my muzzle."
Eidel gives a soft laugh,"First you want to warm up and sun..then go swimming. They don't work to well together, though I think there might be a couple places on the river where it's out and nice in the sun..Just with the water always moving, it tends to have a nice coolness to it. Got for drinking and taking a swim when you get to warm. " Chatting away happily enough as she shows him about the forest, continuing to point out this or that plant, or tree type. Those which are good, those best to stay away...and those that can be eaten, just not terribly tasty and best left to when there isn't much else to have.
When he stumbles over the tree root Eidel is quick to move and check after him,"You alright? Nasty tree root jumping out like that on you. " Giving a faint snuff at him as he gets back up, having a bit concern for this new found friend. "Though to right...if you'd tumbled through that stuff...you'd be miserable for least a week, if not longer. Might not sound like much, being itchy..But oh..to actually deal with it." The mare just shakes her head with a bit of a snort, it just isn't fun and a lot more distressing to go through then one might think.  When they are not far from that bend Eidel spoke about the meadow being just about. There is a rather load thrashing amongst the bushes just up and off to the left of the path. A great deal of rustling and sounding rather like there was a herd of wild boars having a tussle and stampede.
But it doesn't seem to be for moments later there is a blur of green and orange bursting forth and proceeding to come hoping and prancing onto the path..Yes, a furl grown stallion...hoping...and prancing. It is quite the sight to say the least. The soquili gives a snort and wild shake of his head before he even considers looking around with rather orange looking eyes. Eyes that go quite wide when he spies the pair and he nickers loudly before bounding into a charge straight at Eidel!! Whom he quite frankly just nearly missing bowling over, stopping mere centimeters from her..causing her to back up a bit...especially as he nickers again, quite loudly..as if she were on the other side of the forest yet,"Eidel!!"There is a little sigh from the poor mare,"How many times...I'm right here, you don't need to shout like that." This directed at the rather wild like stallion. Before Eidel looks along to Albeoc to note,"/This/ is Pakwa." Who....happens to still not be standing still and is prancing in place as if he just can't stand still...and only then begins to notice Eidel actually isn't alone.

(sorry its taken so long to get round to writing something so short)
Abloec smiles at her and nods. "Yes the sand flys around worse than when it rains. But thats what these red eye coverings are for, they help stop it getting in my eyes. This on my back comes in handy too." Turning his head round, tugging on the thing draped over his back at the moment, leaving it in place and looking back at her. And grinning, enjoying her company, finding her relaxing and easy to be around now that the initial awkwarness was over.
Stopping when she stops, unable to do much but stare in surprise at the other green stallion. Blinking a little as he seemd to dash around, amased that Eidel was still standing after that sudden stop. Stood next to her, his expression one of shock as everyhing kind of happens, not even lookig at Eidel as he addresses her in a side comment. "The energettic one?" ficed to th spot for the moment, just watching the other stallion, his brain starting to wake up from the surprise entrance.

Eidel gives a small bob of her head,"Yup, that one." Though if it weren't the one she'd talked about..one just might have to worry a little....to think there was someone more..energetic out there. "Pakwa, this is Ableoc. He's new to the forest, so I was showing him around a little." The mare keeping an eye upon the rather bouncy newcomer.
"Oh, right yes...distance and lower voice..I remember that now." The stallion talking in a more reasonable tone, even if he's still not standing still. And certainly not with having noticed the other stallion...who just needs inspecting. Eidel getting a smug sort of look,"Been talking about me it sounds like. Bragging most likely about all the things I can do." For how grown he looks to be, Pakwa doesn't quite seem to act like it..more like the young sibling who is certain their elder sibling would think of nothing better to do. "It is fine seeing you...Ableoc was it? Not taking up to much of Eidel's time now? She is always needing plenty of rest and naps," most likely an often used excuse to break away from the energetic one. "You're quite green if I might point out." Prancing about as he circles to inspect the other, snuffing here or there and obviously decides Abloec looks quite like grass too, for her opts to try and take a taste of green tail...rather in that way a child just has to taste and check everything out with it's mouth...
Which just has Eidel, declaring,"Pakwa! Stop that right now...Don't even...." the mare looking a little exasperated by him, and giving Ableoc an apologetic, if not horribly embarrassed look as she tries to nudge the green-orange stallion away. Scolding him a bit,"Now what did Leotie tell you about how to behave when meeting new people?"

Abloec gives Eidel a reasuring look as he snaps his tail to the side out the way. Giving the new stallion a raised eyebrow look. "Yes indeed I'm very green, but I'm not edible. And no need to worry, I have let Eidel have plenty of rest." Smiling at Eidel not about to disagree that she needed plenty of rest, getting a quick impression how tiring this one could possibly be.
Turning to face the other Stallion, not wanting to chance that he might try to bite something else. Taking this all in his usual laid back manner, more amused than anything. His expression friendly as he looks at Pakwa, giving Eidel a subtle wink to let her know that she had a conspiritor in him where her naps were concerned.

(Oh good gosh..I could have swore I replied to this ages ago...Sorry! Must have closed things before hitting the silly button to commit the post!)
Orange eyes open a bit wider, a feisty, lively bush and Pakwa looks ready to bounce after and make a game of it..before being properly chastised and clued in on the whole...it's a tail...attached to the stallion. Not even looking abashed by it, Pakwa simply acts like nothing ever happened, he did not mistake a tail for munchable grass, or leaves. Not he! "Well of course you are not, that would be silly. Though a fine color for taking up hiding in the meadow. Bet you would like quite fine in a tree even. " Pakwa actually seeming to think the last over before shaking his head, maybe not. Who knows what the odd stallion is thinking in there. "Good, good. She needs her rest, ties so easily. And there is much to be done later." One can only wonder at just what he would think needs doing..and just how he manages to have the energy to keep moving, for even when he 'stands still' he he bouncying about a bit. Eidel just lets him go, it takes far to much effort to stop him then it does a freight train..not that any of them would even know what one of those were. "Yes, I am aware...always so much to be done...trees to find and search up, to find the agreeable one. Though were you not..."  "...supposed to be aiding me in finding new grasses to replace the old bedding," finishes a new comer who lands lightly behind the bouncy stallion..causing him to jump straight up and spin around....which in turn causes the newly arrived mare and Eidel to just smile...a kid caught sneaking off! This new comer bearing wings that carried her forth, a fine purple like the violets that sometimes could be found along the forest floor, wings of black with touches of white marking the times as well as a long white blace down her face.

Abloec stays quiet, looking from one mare to the other as they kept the other stallion in line. Thinking that it was probably like having an out of control little brother. Trying not to stare at the new arrivals wings, opting to stare at the grass in front of his hooves instead. Trying really hard to not laugh, not managing to keep the small smile off of his face though, this reminiscent of what his mother was like. Feeling glad that he wasn't the one in trouble, though at the same time he was trying to not smile as the pair of females reminded him of his mother and sister. Not smiling though, feeling the pang of loss at not having his family any more.
(ick sorry its so short)
( Edit - Also I'll be gone for a week as of tonight so I'll not be able to reply till I get back on the 6th)

(Sorry for taking so long!)
While Abloec took those moments to consider the trio before him in such an introspective fashion with the memories that it all seemed to drege on up...
Pakwa, finding himself slightly out number...actually ended up looking a bit chastened...a bit. And for about two seconds actually stood still..
..after Leotie's wing gave his back a lightly tapping after a minor chiding comment for having slipped off from helping out. Though her wings did fold back in and seem to just be a part of her back like any other normal one amongst the group. Though it was she who took notice of the guest while Eidel continues to deal with Pawka. The mare gave a blink of her eyes before dipping her head to the stranger,"Oh do forgive me for intruding like that, I had not quite realized they were keeping company when I landed. I was just surprised I was able to find him at all. I am Leotie, sir."

Abloec looked up as he was addressed by the purple female, smiling at her in her usual friendly way. His amused expression isapearing as he blushes a little, hoping that she didn't nptice his amusement. "Hi I'm Abloec, its lovely to meet you Leotie, amazing entrance, lovely wings... I'm babbleing..." Looking embarassed not having seen a winged soquili before. "I'm sorry, I've not seen someone with wings before..." Glancing at the other two before looking back at her, still blushing but his smile was starting to relax.

The mare's expression was soft and gentle as she observed this new stallion. A small flicker of an ear to take note of his blushing, though her head rose a little when he spoke of an amazing entrance. Even looked a little bit puzzled on the matter. "amazing..I just..oh...landed." The purple mare shook her head a little,"You are not babbling, sir. And it is nothing truly amazing..the wings that is. There are several about with them, mine are nothing much. There are some...complete works of natural art, truly." Said wings do not even give the slightest bit of a flicker.
This exchange having gotten Pakwa's attention and he is giving Eidel a nudging,"See, someone else notices how unnerving her coming in out of no where can be." The bouncy stallion sending a look along to the other green stalliong,"Hard to go off and..."
"...get into trouble and mischief," finishes Eidel with a bit of a laugh.

Smile relaxing more, still a little pink but that too was fading. "Where I'm from the only creatures to have soft feathery wings like yours are the buzzards... But yours are much prettyer than those and they look much softer..." Looking over her wings staying still as he felt the urge to nuzzle what looked like very soft and snuggable wings.
Looking back to her face, his smile shifted to slightly embarassed again, very glad that she couldn't read his thoughts. Tilting his head a little as his eyes met hers. "It seems you and Eidel are kept busy..." Glancing at Pakwa, not having said anything because calling him young might be insulting. His eyes returning to Leotie. "Maybe one day you will have time to tell me what it looks like up there..." his head gesturing up at the sky, needing to find his way to somewhere high to even get a guess at what she sees.
Smiling over at Eidel glad to hear her laugh, biting his tongue, liking her, and wanting her to be a friend, so deciding that pointing out that she could find mischief too would only embarass her.
