Ok- every Kurama fan girl's rant- why doesn't he take his shirt off more as much as the others? I guess he's just more modest *sigh*
I don't like how people give Keiko such a hard time also. Kuwabara and Keiko are the two most dislike characters, I find. People think Keiko is too weak; i just say she's more normal than the others because she's a human girl. And she is great because she sticks around for Yusuke when other girls would have moved on. I get defensive for Keiko. And Kuwabara I never really hated. I just kinda say, "he's so silly". That's all. I actually was suprised by how much I missed him in the last tournament..... I personally am not peeved by any of the characters- except maybe some of the villains like Suzaku's bird.....Muruko...(just watched this last night).....but none of the main characters.
HIEI AND NARUTO--------NO WAY IN CRAPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Why? Why? Why? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? That makes as much sense as Botan marrying Rinku!

Note: To the Yu Yu Hakusho slash fandom
The nick-names you have Kurama call Hiei in your Yu Yu Hakusho yaoi slash are NOT cute!
Seriously, if there is one thing I can go on for HOURS about ranting, it's those stupid little nick-names. Just when I think a fanfic might be getting good all of the sudden Kurama comes out with "I love you, Firefly" or some crap like that. The worst thus far that I have seen are: Firefly Dragonfly Firebaby
My memory has burned out the rest for now... that and it's been a long day.
Okay, so I know that's not really a rant about the TV series, but it's a rant regarding Yu Yu Hakusho none the less... Many a good fanfics have been ruined by these darned nick-names and I am sick of seeing it.

My dear sugary goodness! Pet names are the WORST in YYH slash fics. I mean, KURAMA least of ALL would use pet names when referring to someone and Hiei, if called by such a pet name, would probably reply with: "Call me that foolish term one more time ONLY if you have a wish to lose an arm."
*snickers* I love Hiei. ANYWHO.
People are Keiko bashers because they don't get character depth and decide she's nothing but a screaming banshee. KEIKO is a WORRY WART. Lol. THAT'S all. And she cares for her friends A LOT. And is actually VERY BRAVE and ATHLETIC and POPULAR and TOP OF HER CLASS. And obviously she has LEADERSHIP skills because she's THE CLASS PRESIDENT.
*sighs* Sadly, I used to be a Keiko basher, but then one day, I began to rewatch the series and I had to WRITE her. That FOREVER changed my opinion on Keiko Yukimura. I love her to death! Wanna marry her...or at least be her friend. Lol ; D

Well one thing i found annoying about the show was that we never learned much of genkai other than her conection to togero (can't spell today for some reason)

I wouldn't call that annoying for me per-say, although I will admit it would have been kind of cool to learn a little bit more about who she was. I really did like how we learned about her connection to Toguro though, and I admit that I nearly cried when they were speaking together at the end of the Dark Tournament. We only really got a glimpse of it though, and it was kind of like we were being teased with it... I wouldn't have complained if the creator had chosen to put a little more about Genkai in there.

Yeah, it kinda annoys me too that we didn't get to know too much about Genkai, but you know, I think it adds to the story. We're just not MEANT to know.
It bothered me when they talked too. I was just like "Wow. Thanks creators. You're just so nice for rubbing this in my face." What interactions Genkai and Toguro DID have during the Tournament REALLY won me over though. Freaking AMAZING in MY humble opinion. Lol ; D

I would have liked to know more about Genkai's life, i.e., how she ever got involved with demons in the first place, but I guess we're not supposed to know. One thing I enjoyed was seeing her tell Shishi about how she wasn't interested in being a hero. I wonder why that was.
It always bothered me that Kurama and Hiei had such great chemistry, but weren't (canonically) a couple, as far as I know. I know there's another thread about it, so I won't go into detail, but they work really well together, and yet each has (however temporarily) a female character that he seems to think of as more than a friend. That could just be me, though.

I don't know. I think that it's good that they stayed apart. For one thing, think of how awkward it would be if Hiei and Kurama were a canon couple in the series for the guys? Yusuke and Kuwabara would feel more than a bit out of place.
Two, I don't think Hiei is the type of person to admit he has feelings for another person, and I could only see Kurama doing so in special circumstances. So who knows? Maybe they do harbor such emotions towards each other, its just never shown in the series. We rarely get into either of their heads in the series.
Thirdly, I'd have to say I'm really just NOT a supporter of HieixKurama and the fact that I'm a Hiei fangirl might make me a bit biased but, as stated firstly, it would just make things too awkward. Secondly, Hiei and Kurama are just best friends and the best of partners, why would ANYONE want to ruin that with all this relationship kissy kissy stuff? Thirdly, I just don't think Kurama would be that happy with Hiei. He would always have to watch what he said and, well, Kurama ALREADY has a troubled soul.
I don't know. There's only been ONE KuramaxHiei picture I approve of that I have on my computer. But even then, despite it's complete and utter cuteness, I still don't approve of it. It just looks off. : /

I agree with Havi. I was never a HieixKurama fan. And I hate how all FF are practically either that pairing, or OCs taking over. >_>
A rant? How I HATE how they made Kuwabara so...WEAK compared to the boys. I understand he's comic relief, he's completely human, etc, but Yusuke is comic relief at some points and he was mostly human throughout the whole series. So, why make Kuwabara weak?
I also understand that he is stronger than the average human, but still. I was rewatching the Dark Tournament, and I was just like, "Why is he so weak? I feel so bad for him."
But then again, Yusuke has also had training with Genkai....And he also has that sword that can rip through territories......But still.
*sigh* How horrible things can be for comic relief characters.

I didn't used to be a fan of that couple, either, since I was a major Hiei fangirl. However, when I thought about it and read a few great fics on it, it made sense to me. It's that they work together so well as friends, and fighting partners, and then when you throw in a bond a bit stronger than that it only gets better. (Then again, that only applies when both characters are as in-character as possible. When it's done right, to me, there's almost no difference in the way they react to each other in everyday situations.)
I think Kuwabara was supposed to be relatable. Also, when you consider the fact that all the other fighters (Genkai and Dr. Ichigaki's team excluded) are demons, it makes sense that he'd be a weak one. I was always so proud of him for going out and representing our species in an amazing light when pressured by demons on all sides. ^^

Kuwabara is not weak. Not in my opinion. Why he always got so beat up?
A) He uses the try and fail technique. B) He kind of gained Kurama's fighting style where he waits to find an opponents weakness, but mainly through try and fail techniques. C) Unlike Kurama, he only has a limited amount of attacks. D) Unlike Yusuke, he may have good footwork, but he's not as agile or graceful simply because of how big he is and his lack of professional training in such areas. E) Unlike Hiei, who also has limited attacks, he does not have an almighty super powerful one.
I'm glad he got the trans-dimensional sword. : )

Ah, that was insensitive of me. I meant to say that it makes sense that he'd be a weaker one. When compared to Kurama, he's weak. When compared to me, a person who hasn't seriously fought another normal human ever, he'd be hecka strong. ^^
And, I meant "weaker" in a completely physical sense. When it comes to will and bravery, Kuwabara is, like, THE CHAMP. lol. You have to admit that he's a great representative of the race as a whole. I mean, if you had to pick a character to show off how great humans are, who else would you choose? (I guess Keiko's a pretty good answer, but not if you're trying to show demons that humans can also be formidable...)

Hahah. Sorry. Natural reflex. ^^;
Dude. Don't forget about Shizuru! XD Shizuru is like two-in-one, female AND human population. No THREE-in-one. We can't forget about the totally cool awesome people population! XD
My rant?
Why couldn't the girls get more screen time? I just wish they could've done more than sit on the sidelines? But who know? *shrugs* Maybe that was part of the mood. That feeling of helplessness that no matter how much they care and hope and pray, their boys' lives are left to nothing but fate. : s

I didn't like how there was a lack of Keiko during certain parts...I mean I know Yusuke was uber busy all the time, but I like the little moments they have together. heart
Kuwabara! He so proved himself in the Chapter Black Saga. I was so proud that he was the one they were after mrgreen He deserves some credit! And I didn't like how everyone was like..they must want Yusuke! Course, it was kinda funny,.... I love how Seaman defends him X3. He says, "You should appreciate Kuwabara more." or something like that. I sooooo agree with him. heart That was a redeeming quality for Seaman..cuz he annoyed me...And Kuwabara is the most loyal and just a great guy! On the surface you'd think he wouldn't be a nice person to hang around, but he would be the most reliable friend for life heart
Shizuru! I adore Shizuru! Mostly for speaking her mind: "Put your shirt back on!" to Toguro- what we were all thinking. blaugh
Keiko bashers...Keiko is hated...Kuwabara is hated....and a lot of people hate Mukuro....Keiko is a good person and is very headstrong to deal with Yusuke. I liked her the moment I saw her on screen...actually...It's just her personality seems very cliche compared to the rest...But I think she's much stronger than people give her credit for and not just the helpless damzel people make her out to be. Mukuro I don't hate. I didn't get much time to get an attachment to her, though. She's a good counter to Hiei and they both are alike enough to get along, but different enough not to be the same and a "perfect " match....I hate when it's like the two people are exactly the same...-_- annoying. But the way she teases Hiei..reminds me of the way Kurama is around him...Is that odd? Maybe it's just that I like HXK.....heh I am for a love triangle! KXHXM XDDDDD
Though they all have enough issues..without being locked into a love triangle..and poor Hiei stuck in the middle...
uh..Firefly? No no no no no NO NICKNAMES! That's not like Hiei and Kurama! If a fanfic is written well it can be so heartfelt..but too many are nauseating to read..so I quit halfway through XDDD Kurama: "Now that we've kissed what should I call you?" Hiei: "Hiei." Kurama: *smirks* No baby? or how about sweetie..." Hiei: "You're never kissing me again if you keep saying such ridiculous things". XDDDDD
There should be more fanfics about Genkai!!!!!! *nods vigorously* I loved the scene where they met in the afterlife! It was awesssoommmeee! in a sad way heart
okies..wow this was long....

My OC calls Hiei "hun" and "babe" casually. Nothing sweet or vomit-wrenching, just quick, "Hey, hun, where's Yusuke?" And stuff like that. But she talks that way to everyone. : 3 Teehee. I can get away with it. Teehee.Nah. She's very careful about it and not to offend him. : D
