Mel looked around still as confused as she was before. She didn't object to the fact she was there, where ever there was, but she did want to know what was going on. She decided to start walking around and maybe she'd find someone who could help.

"I believe you're forgetting that I'm only 203." Julia smiled. Her smile faded as she noticed a young girl walking down the road. "Oh, Aaron, I believe we have a guest... a human one at that." she whispered with a grin. "I think it's time we tested out some of our ideas for this Halloween on the little girl." she grinned. "Excuse me, young lady!" she called. "Would you mind telling me how exactly you got to our beautiful village?" she asked with a smile, but hiding her fangs.

Mel looked up at the two people on the lamp. "Huh? Oh! I was walking around and I found a secret passage in this forest." She called back up the girl. "How did you get up there?" She asked.

Julia walked up to the girl. "Secret passage?" she asked. "And what do you mean? I was just down the road." She sighed. "Follow me. I have some questions for you that I need you to answer and answer them as honestly as you can. Otherwise, I'm afraid things might not turn out in your favor." she ordered as politely as she could, still trying to hide her fangs. She grabbed the girl by her arm and pulled her along to Julia's office. "Sit." she ordered once they arrived in Julia's office. She sat down behind her desk and looked at the girl.

"Who are you, how did you get here, what forest, what is your name, and why are you here?" Julia demanded, slowly losing her patience. She took a deep breath so her fangs wouldn't show yet. "And most importantly, what exactly are you?" she asked. She thought the girl was a human, but she still wasn't sure. In this town, anyone could be disguised as anything.

Mel blinked at all the questions then said, "I'm Melissa but everyone calls me Mel, I was walking through the forest came across this strange hole and went in that's how I got here, I don't know what forest just one near my house and I don't know why I'm here." She took a deep breath and raised an eyebrow. "What am I? A human being who is extremely confused right now." She said.

Julia giggled. "Foolish, foolish little human." she muttered under her breath. "Well, Mel, welcome to Halloween Town. You're the first real guest we've had in over a century. I welcome you as the mayor of this fine village." she mock bowed. As she stood back up, she grinned widely and showed her fangs. "Are you afraid?" she whispered as she slowly walked towards Mel.

Mel blinked a little then shook her head no. "Nope, not at all. That's really cool." She said smiling. "Are you a vampire then?" She asked noting the fangs. Halloween town..... that explained so much.

Julia sighed. "I see. Well, we do have a job for you here, if you'd be willing to take it. I would be willing to pay about... $10 per hour?" she asked. "And yes. I am a vampire." she answered. "Of course I understand if you don't want to take the job. It would include being tested for fear." she warned.

((Hey exploding. Long time no see.))
Thomas paced about his mansion on the hill. He was in the lobby, wandering back and forth through the many corridors. He needed to find out what to test next. He largely needed a test subject. He knew the usual scares: spooky ghosties, raven's, crow's, black cat's, jack-o-lantern's, eddie murphy's 'comedy', the wiggles, and death. He wanted a scare to beat the rest though. He wanted to release people's adrenaline and scare the wits out of them. An over achiever he'd always been. But he had to be to stand up to the last scientist. The man was a genius. Besides. He wanted to find his mother. He could only do small carnival tricks, like hide small things in the darkness or travel through the shadows. He needed to be able to stay in the shadow realm, or better yet, summon things from it. He wanted his mother. He'd never known her. He flexed his hand and glanced at the sparkly golden ring. It gave him some great insight into how to scare people, but it was not perfected. Not by far.

Thomas decided to see the job selector, Julia. She was one of quite mystery to him. Her job seemed so boring, yet she ever seemed to have fun with it. A true puzzlement. He slid out of the shadows behind her. "Hello," he said in his mid-range voice. It wasn't sexy, but wasn't necessarily nerdy either. More curious. He wondered if he could bounce some ideas off of her.
