"We could... oh gosh, we could make this place everything we'd want it to be. I could fix up the gardens and... and you could get some of the machinery and systems to work again in here. We could get married outside."
Lorey closed her eyes and tried to envision it. Marriage probably wouldn't happen for awhile, but in the mean time, they could definitely bond over making the house a true home.

Richard smiled, nodding as he looked around. The palce wasn't in too bad of shape. There were large white draes over everything, as well as a thin layer of dust. Vi had mentioned a friend had come over to fix the place up. She had mentioned all but her bedroom was really empy except basic furniture, having all her grandfather and brother's things put up in the attic so she wouldn't have to think of them. She only left her grandfathers den untouched, leving it exactly the way he ahd last left it before hee died.
Other than that, it was all a clean slate for the couple. "Shall we get started then?" He asked with a smile

Lorey kissed him deeply before darting off to the nearest cloth-covered couch. Her hands took hold of the cloth and tugged, revealing a very nice, plush loveseat. Next she uncovered chairs, a beautiful carved wooden table with a lion's feet design at the ends of the legs. Everything was beautiful, was theirs to use and enjoy. Dust flew, Lorey sneezed and rubbed at her eyes, but she was laughing along with Richard as they uncovered and cleaned their house.
Only the living room was really uncovered and looking spiffy by the time they were done. "Look at this place!" Lorey breathed as she fell upon the couch. "It's just... beautiful. And it's our home."

Richard smiled as he studied the room silently. His ind sped as he thought about their future, unfolding right there in front of him. "Yes...We'll sit here cuddled up on rainy days... Eat dinner over there...when I'm tired from a long day at work and depressed, I'll flop down...right here..." He sat down on the couch. "And I know you'll be there with me.... to make it all better..." His hand went to her knee as he gazed to her lovingly.

"I'm always here to make things better." Lorey sat up to kiss him sweetly, once twice until all her thankfulness and love was pouring through without her reeling it in. This was their home, their home! A place where family would thrive and everything would be alright until the world outside called them back.

"And you don't know how thankful I Am for that..." In the good mood he was in right now, with all the love and emotion surging through him, alone in this house that was theirs... Richard wanted so badly to show Lorey exactly how much he loved her. But he remembered his promise to her as well as himself.

Lorey felt as if she could break her promise to herself. Her mother didn't have what she had right now. Her and Richard were practically married as it was, right? Lorey fought with herself, and it showed in her eyes as she blushed and looked at Richard. But, they had promised each other that they would wait. Lorey wanted to wait because of her mother... and Richard had promised her he would comply with that. "I... I love you," she said once she realized she'd been staring a bit at him. "I want to keep my promise... but you make it so hard." Lorey laughed.

Richard swallowed looking at her as well. He had the sudden realization that he could in fact get what he wanted out of her by simply making the first move and pushing it . But he would never do that. Not to Lorey. Richard furrowed his brow looking away.
"I don't want you regretting that you did..." He said after a moment. "I want- ... I want it to be special.... and right..." His mind immediately went to Raquel and Damian. "Raquel...she loves Damian... but sometimes she wishes she had that purity you had... Damian sees it too. I dont want you to lose soemthing so valuable and precious so easily... ...we'll wait." He said with a soft pat on her leg, while his insides and other parts screamed at him disapprovingly.

Lorey nodded and smiled. Her mind and body said otherwise, too, but Richard had said that he wanted it to be special. Spur of the moment could still be special, but maybe they weren't prepared for anything right then.
She snuggled up to him and nodded once more, red-faced. "I don't think I'll be so impure. Not if it's you, and I know we're getting married and everything. If it's you, it's alright. But we'll wait."
Though even Lorey was starting to get frustrated, oddly enough. Her kiss still came, though, regardless. "I love you, Richard. You're a wonderful man."

Richard smiled, not very easily however, his face red as well. "I understand...I love you too..." He put an arm around her, looking about the room with a endearing smile, trying to go back to pure thoughts in stead of thinking how lovely Lorey looks without her lovely dress.

This isn't fun. Lorey suddenly got up from the couch, took Richard's hand and tugged him towards the door. "Come on, let's go see what's around here! Let's explore." Maybe some fresh air would do them good instead of being on a couch feeling as they did.

Richard let out a laugh, letting himself get dragged off to the back yard. Which they found to be as lovely as the rest of the house. There was a few large older trees, a large area for a garden, and so much more waiting for their imaginations to take over. "This is...wonderful..." he said with a sigh and nod. "Everything we talked about...its all here...."

Lorey looked up to him with love. All right there... With an adventuring spirit, she went towards the very back of the property, and found a beaten path leading back a ways. Of course she wanted to see where it led. "Richard, follow me!" she said, going on with his thumb in her grasp. The path was surrounded by a few trees, not quite a forest but still there. Most of it was very tall grass, leading to a pond filled with water lilies. Lorey couldn't see that yet, but her heart was soaring with the idea that they had found their dream, and were walking through it.

Richard laughed along with her as he twisted his way after her down the path. It would need a little clearing up but it was all still so magical and lovely. When they reached the pond, Richard just smiled. He could picture Lorey out here, reading to their child or even just on her own, enjoying the warm sun and clean air.

"Beautiful!" Lorey ran out towards the water to have a closer look. Everything was overgrown, and she had a few brambles sticking to her, but everything was breathtaking to her. Lorey turned to see Richard smiling at the scene.
"Richard, this is all perfect! Absolutely perfect!" In the tall green grass, Lorey took a few spins before falling flat upon her back in the cushy plants. She seemed to disappear completely, surrounded by them all, but she didn't mind when the clouds above them were flying so lazily along.
