" Have you ever met another with your purpose?" As of yet Uzi hadn't, hadn't even met another combat type yet. Her yellow glowing eyes dimmed a little as she thought about it, what it would be like to face another of her kind who shared her purpose, would it be a pleasant meeting or would Uzi have to defend her skills and prowess to the other. She was better, she knew than the dog and even Eli in some area becuase she was made for this but again another of her kind born to the same purpose? Only the one with the better experience and creativity could be the best, Kaosu had somewhat taught her that. Perhaps it was time for Uzi to start working even harder.



Eli squeezed her shoulder again " I doubt I can be of much help in this situation but if you guys ever need me.." He trailed off. There was a weird bond there between those that Banning had entrusted with sparks.

Instantly Uzi's eyes were bright again " I have met Lauss, we were going to hunt together but there was no time" and then it had become an issue when neither of their owners approved. " He and Lee own a dog we gave them." Well a puppy more than full dog like Kell's size but still. " I have also met Orpheus who can fly as well." In fact Uzi hadn't met another essentic yet that couldn't fly, she was a bit annoyed by this.

Eli winced at Uzi's mentioning of the near disastrous incident of Lauss and a gun. It wasn't his fault, the gun was in a case with a lock and the ammo was in a separate box and still the pair of essentics had managed to nearly get the thing loaded. He had wondered since then if Uzi thought all essentics could hunt regardless of their purpose as long as they had an interest in it.

" I believe Lauss was curious, he had previously helped me study how to track animals from their foot prints" Staring at Rhian Uzi though the creature would be impossible to track for most, even birds left distinguishable tracks but this butterfly like proto, what would it leave on the ground if anything? "Orphy was.. interesting" There was no other way to describe the musical essentic as far as Uzi was concerned.

" Running is good it's like moving as fast as you can and your body warms and fights you but you move faster anyways." When Uzi ran it was always full tilt. " you can feel the difference between dirt and rocks, solid and hollow ground, it's.. comforting." Uzi liked to run, to be on the prowl.

" What is it like to fly? To see the world from up there?" Did Rhian see things different from up high the other essentic wondered.


" You know," Eli said softly " I've seen a lot of strange things in my life, I have never seen anything as weird as those two". What amounted to an armored mountain lion and a giant butterfly calmly discussing what it was like to fly and run on the outskirts of the city in front of half constructed houses. The world did not get any weirder.

The hound dog happy for the attention remained fairly still aside from the wagging of his tail, he was comfy and there was really no need to move.

Hmm that sounded both good and bad, there a limit to the ways and directions Uzi could move in. On the other hand the lion like proto was not all that bothered by rain, her armor kept most water off and the parts of Uzi that did get wet were not adversely affected by it. " Do you think you will still fly then?'


The green eyes man nodded " Distantly but the two are related." Eli smiled a little " I don't think Rosco is going to end up as slim as Kell but he may end up knowing more tricks." Kell was an excellent and well trained hunter but Rosco looked like he might have a shot at learning every dog trick known to man. " Lauss seems highly focused on teaching him."

" But why not keep flying if you could and how do the antennae help" Not that Uzi was ever sure which part of her were the antennae. She wanted to know though, to better understand other essentics and how they worked.

Eli laughed softly and nodded " last I checked he was."

Uzi still though the ability to fly should not be lost just so one would walk, surely Rhian would be heavy enough when she grew to not get blown over, even with such big wings. The combat type thought the other's antennae were mildly interesting but not something she herself would find useful. Then again her purpose did not require thinking about emotions, which was probably good since Uzi was just starting to understand her own. with no real comment to make the lion like proto just gave a rumble of understanding.


"Hmm she's gotten more antsy about it lately " for which Eli fully blamed choosing a gender and Lee's mother. Then again he;d also made a bedroom for her that probably encouraged her to grow. " I Imagine it all happens in it's own time."

" I would like to be bigger" Uzi admitted " I would like to have hands, other than that I am not sure what I would like." Creativity was not her strong suit, that and Uzi wasn't sure what a female hunter should look like and thus had no basis for what she wanted.

Eli shook his head " No idea. though I'm not sure Drente is ready for Lauss to be more mobile and able to blend in with normal folk." It wasn't that the essentic was bad, in fact he seemed rather responsible, at least with Rosco. It was just something about the curious proto that was hard to explain but made Eli wary about Lee setting him loose on the general population.

Uzi wasn't opposed to looking pretty as long as it did not detract from her usefulness or ability to blend in enough to stalk things. " I am big not not as tall as a human." Though she likely weighed more than one.

" I am so glad I live out on the edge of Vargash" Eli murmured in response
