Ghlyssa inspected the bag carefully. "Is this for me? Really?" Curious, she drew the bag open, smiling.

A length of fine, light chain falls from the bag, followed by a most unusual amulet.

Ghlyssa's mouth hung open a moment. "Oh... oh wow, Riven. It's so pretty." She looped it around her neck, and stared down at it. "I... I'm never going to take it off. Not ever."

"I made the idea for it myself, and Mister Moorgahaine helped me make it a real thing," Riven said, almost shyly. "It's special, see?" He moved up close to her and cupped the amulet in one hand. "The crystal is from the Spirit Realm..."
He lightly tapped on the textured substance around it. "And this is an old branch from that life tree," he added, hesitantly. "It fell off by itself. I didn't hurt it. Moorgahaine said they melded really well, whatever that means."

She looked at it, blinking. "I... so it's like a little bit of us both. Oh, Riven." Ghlyssa squished forward and hugged Riven tightly. "It's wonderful. Thank you so much. I'm so lucky to have you."

Riven was surprised, and then he grinned and wrapped his arms about her. "Me too. Except with you, of course, love." He nuzzled her lightly, touching noses.

Ghlyssa laughed and snuggled back.
From the doorway, however, came a small giggle. "Are you guys gonna kiss?" Bronnie asked slyly.l

Riven turned and raised one eyebrow at Bronwen, then winked at Ghlyssa. "I don't know. Maybe. What will you do if we do?"

Ghlyssa sputtered and blushed fiercely.
"Um. I don't know," Bronnie admitted. "I could go tell Mum."

"Oh dear," Riven said, looking mock-horrified. "We had better be quick, then. Before we're in trouble."
And he swept Ghlyssa up and kissed her. It still wasn't the finest kiss ever, but at least this time their noses didn't bonk.

Bronwen giggled, and leaned down the stairs. "MUM. Glee and Riven are KISSING."
There was a startled pause. "Leave them ALONE, Bronnie," Sunny yelled back.
Ghlyssa was still a little too.... happily preoccupied to comment on this.

Riven burst out laughing, still holding Ghlyssa. "It's okay," he told Bronwen, still laughing. "We're not kissing much longer. Unless somebody wants to?" He raised one eyebrow in Ghlyssa's direction.

"Eww," Bronnie stated firmly, and stomped off.
Ghlyssa kissed Riven briefly on the corner of his mouth. "You're awful," she laughs. "But I love you."
