Haven't had a lot of time yet to play it, but it's pretty addictive. I was surprised at how easily I got used to having Shadow shoot things up. The voices of good and evil in your head the whole time gives the game a very disturbed feel smile
I also adore the remix of E.G.G.M.A.N...

STOP ATTACKING THOSE WHO ATTACK YOU" If they wont stop shooting at you, they could at least tell your helper to shut up while you retaliate. Still, I worked out the easiest way to A-Rank is to ignore all enemies, since I started doing that I've been killing lots of birds with no stones biggrin

i saw the shadow advert on TV for the first time yesterday. it didn't look too bad.
.. looks like i'll have to ask my parents for cash this christmas and buy the game for myself as i doubt they'll ever find a shop stocking it. atleast i'll have my will's copy to play on boxing day onwards. ^^;

XP Though, frankly, my sentiments are about the same as Shadow's when he goes into Chaos Blast ("DEATH TO ALL!!!")...Yeah, yeah, I know; I gotta suppress the urge to blast anything that moves if I'm gonna beat the rest of the missions, but still....Least the game seems good on those days when the whole world seems to be against you. razz I managed to get one of the endings last night, in which I was pretty surprised that (spoiler: highlight) Shadow actually kills Eggman. I'm pretty intrigued about what the rest are like, as well as the obligatory (at least these days) final story. It's nice to see that the 4Kids voice actors were pretty decent in their performances as well....if they're gonna switch up on us, they might as well give us something.......well, something that's not 4Kids' usual : P

*shudders*
Sorry, my views on 4kids dubbing remain the same - bleuch! I thought Charmy couldn't be any more annoying than he was in Heroes, but I was wrong. And Sonic just sounds truly, truly wrong. Guess I'm a traditionalist at heart: Urkel or Ryan are the only way to go smile
As for gameplay when the world is against you, I should have played dark side Shadow this evening, I think it'd have cheered me up wonderfully. Never mind, a hot bath and a new Doctor Who book may also work wonders...

Doctor Who on its own in enough to counter misery, I find.

I'm hopefully gonna get it for Christmas, I can't wait! xd I've seen adverts for it on TV, and it looks incredible! One question though, is it true what I've heard about it being almost impossible to aim properly in the game? confused

I already got all "A" rank, found all the keys, and got 54 out of all the possible endings. It wasn't as hard as I first thought.

I'm usually rubbish at shoot-'em-ups, so the aiming system can't be too bad. It's marginally harder to aim with the rifles than with the alien weapons, but still not too bad. DW

Teh majority of the guns are auto aiming in the way that you press fire and bullets fly out at the nearest thing wether it enemy, annoyance or something you didn't want to destroy.
Swords are useless.
Rocket launchers and powerful weapons can either lock on (which is good) or will only go straight infront of you... in which they are impossible to aim. So be ready to hear "YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY?! THE MORE THE MERRIER!" alot.

Ugh, that oversized Egg Pawn was a pain to fight at times. It's kind of funny how easy the Egg Dealer is compared to that one. : p
Right now, the one disappointment I have with the game is that, although there's plenty of different paths to take, level-wise, the cut-scenes and endings tend to be pretty similar. I mean, I'm glad there's 22 levels to go through (although several of them are similar), but I was hoping for a few more different storylines.
Other than that...heck, I'm actually having a blast (yes, bad pun, I know...). Can't say I've had this much fun with a 3D Sonic game since SA2, despite this game being more of an offshoot spinoff. I'm finally able to grind and homing attack with a sense of security again! razz

Does this mean an end to the buggy grind rails? And does this also mean I have a chance of homing attacking something other than deep space? WAHOO! I'm celebrating or commiserating exam results tonight with Shad, so maybe I can play with a new-found confidence smile DW

shadow seems to stick to rails more easily then in SA2 and heros. i've yet to fall past them and the system of switching rails has been improved. ^^
i'm on the last story right now, and having problems with the final boss (i know some people can beat it in only 3 minutes, but i seems to be getting it wrong so far. :p)

i hate the repeat of voices in the multi player game they same the same thing ro every level and same with the warings they give you they are all the same it gets annoying after awhile but i'm for the rail thing it's easier to switch and get on and i love the wall run

Finally beat the Final Story segment the other night, after about two months of playing it (guess that isn't too bad in terms of gameplay life, eh?).
Something tells me it was a bit tacked on, though, at least cutscene-wise (excluding the CGI...that part was pretty cool). Plus the final level and boss weren't the most enjoyable experiences of all time (did ANYBODY find that boss to be less than annoying?).
But I suppose it does finally bring some closure, I think. I'm having a hard time seeing Shadow's past as shown in this game fit together with his past as shown in SA2.
...But hey, nice to see you-know-who after about four years, eh?
