Talina swam twards him. "What do you need help with?" She asked kindly. She didn't mind him gritting his teeth.

"I need help getting this stupid mud off my back!" Sprout snapped, "isn't that obvious? Eesh!" He flipped his tail through the water behind him, splashing angrily at the female. It was embarressing enough that he needed her help at all. But now she was going to make him explain what he wanted her to do? Eesh. Stupid Old Lady...

Sploosh! she had gotten splashed in the face by him. She just shook her head to whip it off. She swam a bit closer and spotted the mud patch he was talking about. She took her claw and gently started to rub the mud out.

Sprout flinched as her claw touched his back and thought about yelling at her to ease up... But a second passed, then two seconds, and still he said nothing. After a few seconds of her scrubbing... It felt oddly... soothing...

After a minuet of scrubbing, the patch of mud was gone from his fur. "There. All gone." She said with a smile.

Sprout stiffened as the female stopped scrubbing. She was done? Already?
"Well, good," he snapped, "Thanks... I guess." He felt the heat rise to his cheeks as he realized that she still hadn't moved her paw from his back.
((Inferring this, sorry, or else there's not much else to respond to. XD))

"If you need anything else, just tell me, okay?" She removed her paw and swam back over to 'her' side. She spotted a few fish.
'I wonder if Sprout would like some fish...' She wondered. She dove under water and snagged the two fish.
"Hey Sprout..." She said in his direction. "Would you like some fish?"

Sprout grunted in reply and sneaked a glance as she swam back over to the other side of the river. She really was a pretty dragon...
For an old lady, that is.
Sprout took a deep breath and submerged himself, holding his head underwater as long as he could before shooting back to the surface, gasping for air. There. Maybe that would get the weird thoughts he was having out of his head.
"Hey Sprout... Would you like some fish?"
Sprout turned to look at the female. She had captured two fish... Large, delicious looking fish... All of a sudden, Sprout realized how hungry he was. But... He didn't want to get his food from this female. It would be like getting fish from his Mom. One Mom was more than enough for Sprout.
"I'll catch my own fish," he snapped back, ducking underwater again.

She watched as he submerged.
"Um... Okay." She said as she ate both of the fish.
She began to swim around in tiny circles.

Sprout spotted a flash of scales at the bottom of the river. He paddled toward it hurriedly.
Sprout had learned to fish a long time ago, and was really quite good at it. But his temper, and urgency to show Talina that he wasn't a child that needed to be cared for... They made it difficult for him to show his true skills.
Again and again he lunged after the fish, and again and again he missed.
Finally, his lungs began to burn for air, and he reluctantly headed towards the surface. Only to find that some underwater vines had wrapped around his paw...
He was trapped under the water. And he was running out of air.

She hadn't noticed Sprout was in trouble. She was busy getting something off of her foot.
After she had gotten it off, she looked around... Noticing Sprout's absence. "Did he leave?" She thought out loud. She looked around under water.
"Hmmm... AH!" She spotted him, stuck and struggling. She reacted quickly and dove down, swimming towards him. Once she was there, she went for the vines, wrestling to get them off.

Sprout was vaguely aware of Talina trying to get him loose. He made a brief attempt to brush her off. He could get out of this alone...
His lungs were burning. Sprout's vision began to go black...

She didn't care that he was trying to shoo her away. He needed help! She clawed through most of the vines... He should be able to kick them off if he tried... But she took the rest off anyway, just to be safe.

Sprout could tell that the vines were no longer holding him down, but... He just... Couldn't force his limbs to move... It felt almost like he was in a dream; it was unreal. It wasn't actually happening...
But it was happening. Sprout was dieing.
And there was nothing he could do to save himself...
Sprouts eyes drifted shut.
((Talina can pull him out of the water now, because I'm pretty sure he's unconscious. XD))
