alicelights Thats probaby it then. I guesss it's just like the prenouciation of Gaia...one can guess but we might nbever know- For the pronounication of Gaia... if it is the same as the word for the Gaia from Greek mythology... mother earth, then it is pronounced: Geye-a (if that makes any sense) Because the spelling of our Gaia is the same as the spelling of the Greek myth goddess earth Gaia...

I pronounce it Bel-ee-al, but I'm not too sure if that's correct or not.

Katinchen012 dead.moki Serenity_Minoka alicelights Thats probaby it then. I guesss it's just like the prenouciation of Gaia...one can guess but we might nbever know- Yeah...because a lot of people have different opinions on how it is, so I guess I just have to...well, guess. ^^;; If someone looked at the japanese text... sweatdrop One doesn't even have to look at the japanese text, a mere lexicon would be enough since Kaori Yuki didn't make the name up. But I guess someone with an English lexicon had to look it up, because in other languages the name is rather unproblematic. In German, at example, there'd never be anyone who doesn't know how (s)he should pronounce "Belial". What's a lexicon?

I think dictionary.com offers a little help here Belial entryBEL-ee-el, or BEL-yel, is the correct way if you go by that link. I trust dictionary.com. they don't make stuff up, they consult multiple dictionaries. As you can see, the pronounciation they provide came from a Hougton Mifflin dictionary. That's a well-known scholatic publishing company, FYI biggrin that was bugging me, too. now I know! *twirls*
