Seth blinked, then laughed a little. "Oh, my notebook and map? It's nothing much... I just like writing down and documenting things. I'm heavily into history, so I really like discovering things. I figure now that the island has changed it's location, I would go around and write about the changes and whatnot for generations later to read...."
His face became a little red. "I'm a bit of a book nerd, I'm afraid...."

Karma listened intently and nodded. "That's really cool." She wasn't big on history, but maybe he could show her why it's important. "Fate has a reason for the Isle to fall, I don't always know why." She said, she never questioned it. She left that to others.

Seth really admired Karma and her ability to just step back and take things as it was. He wished a little that he could do that occasionally, but unfortunately he was far more curious at what had happened to the island to just sit back and take it.
"I just.... want to leave documents for the future.... so that there's something there to let future generations know about how the island used to float in air, not in water, and how it changed for all of us, quite literally, over night." He felt his cheeks turn a bit red. "I sound like such a passionate fool.... I'm sorry...."

Karma smiled, "No it is very wonderful to feel as you do. Many people and generations will want this information. It's a great think to be passionate." She smiled and walked by his side. She had a bit of wonder on why it fell, but just knew it was meant to happen.

The blush on Seth's cheeks subsided a little, and he gave a small smile back to her. "Thank you, Karma." He didn't feel like such a fool anymore.
"So... do you have any hobbies? Now that you know a little about me, I'd like to know a bit about yourself."

"Hobbies?" Karma looked at him and then frowned. What sort of things were those? "What are these now?" She wasn't sure how to answer until he clarified his question.

"Things that you enjoy doing.... Sort of like how I like making my records. I do it because I enjoy doing them.... Do you have anything that you like doing?"
He offered a hand to Karma as they came to a small stream; he didn't want her to slip as they crossed, that would have been bad.

Karma thought about that as she took his hand. She smiled at Seth and let her lead her across. What did she like doing? "Well, I like meeting people, talking to them. Can that be a hobby?" She wasn't sure and thought about other things she liked.

"Well, no. I figure that at the time I meet them it was meant to happen and when they leave is another destiny." She knew that Fate had a way and if she met people again it was because she wanted them too.
((Btw, her power is to give wishes when someone says "I wish..." Nothing big, but if you want to do something fun with that, go ahead! biggrin ))

Seth frowned a little. "I see... so it's not really a hobbie then...." He then smiled warmly. "Well, perhaps we can find something while we're out." Pulling out his maps, he thumbed through them, searching for places he though Karma would have a good time at.
(Heehee, I know, and I'm coming up with idea on how to use it)

"Yeah..." She looked at his map as she thought about hobbies. Shouldn't she have one. Was it odd not to have one? She then shook her as she remembered that Fate had a plan and that was what she would put her faith into.

Seth thumbed through all the pages, pulling out a pencil and lightly marking on them. ".... These places could be of interest to try..... Would you rather the beach, the mountains, or the fields?"

"Beach?" She said, she normally didn't like picking. That was what Fate was for. She felt it nice to see the beach, since it was so new. "Have you seen it yet?"

Seth smiled a little and nodded. "Quite a bit... a certain munchkin of mine apparently likes the tide pools and the flotsam that washes up on the beaches, so I suppose you could say I'm familiar with beaches...."
He looked her up and down and chuckles a little. "As long as you don't mind getting sand in between your toes and occasionally getting sand in your hair, you'll probably like it...."
