Having mere seconds to use his reflexes, Joey stood no chance, and was hit in the head with the harsh kick. It sent him to the ground, making him release the clinch. He rolled out of the ring for a second, hanging on to the bottom rope as he lied on the apron.
"Come on, ref, get him outa the ring!"

Punk was ushered back to his corner, but he had given Stone some time to get his act together.
Matt started to get to his feet, glad to have gotten the relief from his partner.

Joey slowly got back to his feet. He was still focused on Punk, as much as he shouldn't have been.
"You dirty sinning scum, getting involved. Wait in line!"

"Yap Yap Yap, you're all talk Joey!" Punk shouted back at him.
Stone, seeing Joey focusing on Punk, would go to take advantage and give Joey a chop block aimed at the right leg.

Joey was silenced as he was taken to the ground. He lay on his back, kicking his leg because of the pain.

Matt would get up to his feet, looking down at Joey. He would send a kick aimed at the back of Joey's leg.

Joey's leg was kicked, making Joey shout out in pain.

Stone would go for a second kick, looking to soften up the limb.

Joey was once again kicked in the leg. The pain made him roll onto his side and turn away from Stone, trying to get his leg from the danger zone.

Like a shark smelling blood in the water, Stone came over and sent some more stomps, trying to get at Joey's leg, but would settle for his left instead.

Joey was repeatedly stomped on, his leg hurting more by the minute. To make matters worse, some of Stone's stomps were getting Joey's OTHER leg, and that was just not good. In a desperate attempt to stop the onslaught, Joey span around, positioning his legs under the ropes so they were dangling out of the ring. Since the rest of his body was prone, this defense was, in a word, crap, but it felt good for Joey to be rid of the stomps.

Stone, upon seeing Joey's defensive stance tried an immediate high risk, looking to springboard off the middle rope and come down upon Joey with an attempted leg drop.

The leg drop hit Joey hard! He coughed as he curled his stomach and fell out of the ring, landing on his front.

Stone rolled to his side, confident now that he hit the leg drop on Joey.
Punk saw an opportunity and got of the apron, slowly creeping towards Joey on the outside of the ring.

Joey was outside of the ring, and looked up just in time to see Punk coming towards him.
"Ohhh no you don't! You stay right there!"
